Wasp Barcode Technologies is introducing the new WWS500 Cordless Freedom Scanner – an exciting new addition to Wasp’s Freedom Scanner line. The WWS500 will be shipping on or before Oct 26, 2007.
Simplicity and ease of use are the hallmarks of this new cordless scanner. Simply plug the Bluetooth USB adapter into an available USB slot of a PC. Or use the built-in Bluetooth of mobile devices (eg. Smartphones, PDAs) to connect with the WWS500. The WWS500 is ready to go using Bluetooth wireless connectivity providing a range of up to 300’ away from the PC or mobile device.
An integrated rechargeable battery provides exceptionally long scan life on a single charge. The unit has an out of range indicator as well as low battery warning. The CCD LR scan engine scans all popular linear (1D) barcodes with a scan range up to 10” away from the barcode.
It’s an ideal scanning device where cordless connectivity is desired in customer settings such as retail, warehouse and distributor centers and office environments. The design is lightweight, ergonomic yet withstands repeated drops to concrete from up to 5’.
