CA ARCserve D2D for Windows provides block-level infinite incremental (I2 Technology') image-based backup to disk for Windows servers and workstations. Licensed per individual server, virtual machine (VM) and work- station, there are multiple component editions of CA ARCserve D2D available depending on your specific needs. CA ARCserve D2D for Windows also offers central management and reporting as no-charge options as well as Virtual Standby that converts backups to bootable VMs to help speed system recovery and reduce business downtime after unplanned outages (licensed per server and per VM) and Host-based agentless VM backup for VMware servers (licensed per VMware host). In all editions except Advanced Virtual Edition there are extra charges for Virtual Standby and Host-based VM Backup. CA ARCserve D2D for Linux provides full and block-level incremental image backup to disk for Linux servers. It includes hardware-independent Bare Metal Recovery (BMR), file-level restore, compression, encryption and centralized management and reporting. It is licensed per individual server and virtual machine (VM).
