SAS 2.0 is designed for much higher speed data transfer than previous available and backward compatibility with SAS 1.0. The 6 Gb/s SAS interface supports both 6 Gb/s and 3 Gb/s SAS/SATA disk drives for data-intensive applications and 6 Gb/s or 3 Gb/s SATA drives for low-cost bulk storage of reference data. The ARC-1882 family includes 8 ports low profile as well as full height 12/16/24 internal ports with additional 4 external ports models.
