Barracuda Backup 490 with 5 year Energize Updates subscription is a complete backup solution for physical and virtual environments that includes software, storage, deduplication, and replication. Simple to deploy and easy to manage, Barracuda Backup includes agents for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft applications, Linux, and Hyper-V as well as agentless backup of VMware. Source-based deduplication keeps backup windows short and LAN traffic to a minimum while in-line global deduplication on the backup server optimizes the backup storage footprint. Barracuda Backup can replicate to Barracuda Cloud storage or to another backup appliance in a private-cloud deployment for disaster preparedness. Barracuda Backup 490 stores up to 4TB in local cache, recommended for up to 2TB primary source data. Features include 1U chassis, 4x2 TB RAID 10 Redundant Disk Array (Raid), 1 x gigabit Ethernet connection, data deduplication, integrated cloud replication, Site-to-Site Replication, LiveBoot, Granular File and Message Recovery, Central Management Interface, no per-server or per-application fees.

Rated 5 out of 5 byDustin Williams from nullWe run two of these with cloud services. Great product, haven't had any issues with them for over 3 years now. We even beta tested a similar device for them.....but where's the special pricing for doing so Barracuda?!?! Great products nevertheless.

We've been very satisfied with it's performance, usability, reliability and overall effectiveness. It's easy to setup back up sources, restore files and replicate data to an off-site unit. We don't use the cloud services, but might sometime in the future. Great unit.

The easy to use web interface allows you to schedule backups, restore files, and manage anything when your in or not in the office. When support is required they are always very knowledgeable about the product and fast to resolve issues. When you call into support you dont have to wait on hold, they call you when its your turn in the que.
