It will not connect again and I am VERY VERY FRUSTRATED. I have paid over $100 for a product that won't even work for ONE MONTH. Imagine my displeasure at this product. I recommend this product to no one because I have been through this process for pairing with Bluetooth for belkin products. I apologize for my typing since it is hard beecause my KEYBOARD CASE DOES NOT WORK. I am very upset and dissatisfied with this product.

I love typing on it, it feels like the keyboard on a laptop. It's quiet, the backlight is nice, and it is fantastic to not deal with the power on/off. I'm typing this review with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not best choice I got this for Christmas 2015 to replace a Logitech keyboard. The only reason for replacing is because this one had backlit keys and you could use it landscape or portrait. I'm not real happy with it 1 the magnetic that holds it on is pretty week. If you forget and grab it up wrong there is a good chance you will drop either the iPad or keyboard. 2 the backlit has to be turned in ever time. Unfortunately when I'm in the dark I can't see where the key is to turn it on. 3 you have to wake it up to use it. So many time I will be typing then look up and it did not even type the first few letters. So aggravating!! I should have sent it back. I'm using my Logitech again.

Backlighting is great to have in meeting rooms darkened for AV. I love the ability to switch back and forth from iPad to iPhone w/ dual Bluetooth. Belkin customer service is exceptional. FYI, I work at an airport and have no association with Belkin.

I absolutely LOVE the functionality and the convenience it provides. The protection of the iPad is also fabulous. However, I was disappointed about three weeks ago when the case began to separate. The rubber strip across the hinge on the bottom began separating from the case. I have tried to stick it back on (because it is very sticky), but it keeps sliding and coming off. Therefore, where ever I lay my iPad down on my desk, it now leaves a sticky residue. I did not expect this from a $150 case. I know that Belkin makes great products, but I'm a little disappoint with this. If this design issue could be fixed, it would be the perfect case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great iPad Keyboard!! I purchased this keyboard over 6 months ago, and I'm very happy with the product! The rose gold color matches well with my similarly colored iPad (I've gotten several compliments on it), the magnetic stand has held up very well, the casing feels super durable (I take it everywhere, throwing it in all sorts of bags and no nicks), and the casing fits wonderfully even with the ballistic glass screen protector that's on my iPad. I think the keys are well spaced; I can type freely and comfortably. Love the lighted keys in low lighting or just for added flair. And, the battery lasts a long time for me (weeks). The only minor items I'd note is that it has to be used on a pretty flat (not tilted) surface or gravity will cause the iPad to topple over/off the stand. A few times I've tried to use it on a lap desk and found that the magnetic stand isn't always strong enough to hold the iPad in place (especially in the landscape position). This is not a problem when used on a table. Additionally, the keyboard will go into a sort of sleep mode if you aren't using it after a little while. Then, when you start typing again, you'll notice a slightly delayed response before it starts to work. However, in my opinion, the overall quality of this keyboard far outweighs these minor annoyances. So I still give it 5 stars and recommend it for purchase!

It lasted approximately a day and a half. No long will sync with my iPad. Other bluetooth items will sync with my iPad which leaves me to believe this keyboard has a very short and overpriced lifespan. Save your money!

The keys are very satisfying to type on. I love that the case amplifies the sound by cupping the speakers toward the user. I recommend this to anyone with an iPad. My ONLY complaint is that the rose gold is gorgeous, but scratches fairly easily. And I take very good care of it.

The rubber that prevents scratching has fallen off and the other side is peeling. Poor quality for the price. With that money you might as well upgrade your I Pad and get an apple keyboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreliable I am typing on my iPad screen, because the Qode is continually unresponsive. Bluetooth shows it is connected, keypad will not respond. This happened in a meeting, where I really needed to take notes. It has happened on every flight I have taken in the past two months. Shopping for a more reliable product. Online comments show this is a problem for many users.

You can’t open it up and use it you have to pair it with a WiFi signal to use the kwyboard. If you have a signal and can use the keyboard. You better ha ele your tablet like it’s a rose petal. More than light pressure will send the cast in twi operes and how is that for embarrassing in a presentation. T R A S H

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product The device works beautifully and I would have given it 5 stars but for this: My new device needs to be re-set almost daily when I first use it in the morning which is an 8 step process. I was told that this issue should go away after I use a while. And yes, I would have still bought it had I know about this beforehand, because it is an outstanding product. I especially like the detachable keyboard that enables me to have the ipad at eye level and the keypad at hand level, which is an invaluable feature for avoiding spinal issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Qode App update in 9 months? I have two of the Ultimate Pro keyboards; one for my iPad Air and one for my Air2. I have installed the QODE app from the App Store. It declares that it can NOT do keyboard firmware updates on IOS v9.1 and later. Apple released IOS 9.1 on 21-Oct-15. As of this writing, that was 9 MONTHS ago. Why has Belkin not produced ANY update since then?

Lighted keyboard is great as well. The rubber strip on the bottom keeps it from sliding. Slight delay when typing as it wakes up the case and connects with it, but once going no issues.

Having said that, I like the character placements much better; more like my laptop. The stand-up flap causes a bit of a rock while laying on my lap platform but i am getting used to it. Will wait for a final judgment to see if there is any cracks at the corners which happened to my first two $99 Belkins.

It has small fragile corners that snap off. unfortunate considering the keyboard feature is very nice. Also, the Bluetooth will drop the connect often and requires you to forget the device and reconnect. Save your money and purchase another type of case.

That means that if you're running the latest iOS, you cannot update the firmware on the keyboard so you can't use shortcut keys, etc. Annoying since that was one of the key features I'd looked forward to.

The case is sturdy: I dropped the ipad once on a tiled floor - the case did not even scratch. The keyboard is very comfortable, relatively quiet. You can only hear it if I am typing in a conference room that is particularly quiet. It flips open easiliy, and the ability to change the tilt of the screen to two different settings is a great feature. My ipad has become the default device - since i got this keyboard I barely open the larger laptop.

But it disconnects from the iPad way, way too often, rending it useless as a keyboard. I spend more time trying to reconnect it so I can type than I do actually typing. I really wanted to like this keyboard, and have tried to use it despite its flaws, but the connectivity issues really render this keyboard useless in just about every way. If the keyboard would stay connected, I could give it a 5 star rating, but as is, it's an overpriced paperweight. Really disappointed.

The typing is great, keys are very easy to use. Feels no different than a laptop. It has a lot of features/shortcuts that work along with the iPad that I haven't used yet, but looks like it would be helpful. It's also very attractive. I got the white/gold one with my gold iPad and it just is really classy looking. The two viewing angles are really helpful and the magnets are quite strong and hold the iPad into place very well. I love that it can detach from the keyboard. The case that it snaps into is sleek and lightweight. I intend to buy a smart cover to help protect it from falls. Wonderful product!

Only disappointment so far is the lack of a pound sterling symbol. Much nicer than using the on-screen keyboard.

It does tend to loose the bluetooth connection every once in a while. Then I always have to go back to the instructions to reconnect it again. I’ve lost two keys on the keyboard. I found one and was able to stick it back where it belongs. However, I cannot re-stick my letter E. I wonder if I can purchase a replacement E?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Keyboard but some of the features don't work I bought this keyboard around 3 months ago and while I love how well the keyboard types, the quick launch short cut keys don't work. I have tried repairing, turning my iPad Air 2 on and off but it still doesn't work. If Belkin could update their QODE app it would probably solve this issue. Overall, this keyboard is awesome to type on just missing a few of the cool futures that I was looking forward to using.

Best features: long battery life, easy to connect/disconnect iPad from case, Bluetooth connectivity and adding a second device simply a keystroke, sturdy and maintains its "new" look. Opportunities for improvement: when the battery finally does need charging no warning given, app use confusing and not readily apparent.

But because it can basically turn an iPad into a small laptop and is lightweight and blends seamlessly with the style of the iPad, I simply ordered a new one. This is overall a great product. If it had lasted a bit longer, I'd give it five stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart Sensing Tech Defective, Bluetooth Unreliable The "smart sensing technology" that "automatically turns the keyboard on when you're using it" does not work effectively. The keyboard is supposed to turn on automatically when the iPad is set on one of the two magnets for viewing. I have to wiggle and manipulate the iPad on the magnets every time to turn it on. The workaround isn't too much of a hassle, but, still, if it requires a workaround it's because it's defective. Another thing is if you haven't used the keyboard for a couple of days then try to connect, the Bluetooth will have a difficult time staying connected to the iPad. This has happened to me several times. Each time, I've needed to un-pair and re-pair. It's a huge hassle. Both problems affect my workflow. I've attached a video showing the defective smart sensing technology.

The fact that you're telling me that there is a firmware update available while at the same time telling me that I can't install it due to me having an updated iPad is unexceptable. I suspect this is why the Quick Launch keys don't work either. Clearly, from comments here and on your app, I'm not the only one having these problems, nor is this a recent thing. It's been MONTHS!!!

The keyboard is built into the case and gives protection to my iPad screen when I close it up. Several people that have seen me use it, have become interested in purchasing one for themselves. I did about 3 weeks ago and while I love the case and keyboard- it doesn’t automatically pair with my IPad. This can be frustrating at times. Even called the 800 number for assisance twice. If it automatically paired when I turn my iPad on, I would love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Keyboard I’ve Ever Used I’m guessing I’ve probably tried around 8-10 iPad keyboards over the years. This is the second Belkin I’ve bought. None other compares to the ease of the typing from this keyboard case, how the keys work beautifully (just like my laptop), so I don’t have to go searching around for the correct key and it has a light “touch” for the keys. Also really love the backlighting option, it’s not very heavy to carry when attached to my iPad, and I can detach it or view it landscape or profile. An awesome case! Satisfied Belkin customer here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great battery life, very compact and stylish. I've tried a couple Bluetooth keyboards but this is by far the best. I love the chiclet keyboard and long battery life. The long battery life is likely due to the smart on/off sensing, which appears to work great when I detach my keyboard. I use my iPad every evening to catch up on the news and I can't remember the last time I had to charge the keyboard. Additionally it's very sleek and compact. The color goes great with the gold iPad and the magnetic viewing angles work perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Amazing Case! I can't say enough about this case. I had it on an iPad Air 2 for several months. It is amazing. Beside the fact that it looks professional and feels sturdy and reliable, I enjoy being able to have it supporting my iPad horizontally creating a great laptop like experience or have it hold the iPad vertically for those occasions that that need it. For example, reading comic books during my lunch break. The fact that the keyboard is completely removable is what makes this case really stand out. I can have the laptop experience, or remove the iPad and use it as a stand alone tablet while it is still in a strong, low profile, nice looking cover. I recently upgraded to the 9.7 inch iPad Pro. I have not found another case as exceptional as this one. Even the new Qode case is not at the same level. I currently use this same case with the iPad Pro. It fits perfectly but it covers the camera's flash. Since I never really use the camera on my iPad anyway, I don't think this will be a problem. If Belkin could release this model (or even just the removable backing portion with a bigger camera hole) for the 9.7" iPad Pro, I would gladly purchase it. Otherwise, I will stick with this case as long as I can. It has set a high bar that will be hard to match.

When I first brought the item I sat the iPad up to type and when I got up holding it by the keyboard everything fell. CRACKED MY IPAD SCREEN. Keyboard doesn't stay attached to iPad. Even the slightest touch disconnects the two from each other. When they disconnect the iPad bottom slides on the keys which knocks them out. there is no way to keep it from disconnecting ( I tried and researched it ). There is nothing I can say good about it. I would of took it back but I lost some of the knocked off keys. PLUS every time I charge it I had to reset the Bluetooth for it to work

However, over time the magnet has lost its magnetic ability to keep the iPad connected and I have had several frustrating experiences of losing the iPad and having to reattach it. Separately, I have also experienced times when the Bluetooth connection suddenly stops and the keyboard won't type. I have an iPad Air 2, purchased new 6 months ago and the keyboard at the same time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this keyboard; this is my second one. I find typing directly on my ipad touchscreen very awkward, cumbersome and slow. This keyboard makes it pretty much like typing on any regular sized keyboard, and I can’t do without it. Even better are the backlit keys that allow me to type in dim or no lighting. It’s compact, fits my ipad perfectly, and protects it at the same time. My first one finally wore out after much use and abuse, and finally would no longer hold a charge or stay paired with my device. Not to mention, it was looking a bit ragged and worn from perpetual use. But I put plenty of mileage on it before it finally gave out, as virtually every electronic device eventually will. I HAD to get another one of the exact same type, and luckily, I was still able to find one for my now older iPad Air 2. This keyboard case is absolutely indispensable to me. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t Buy I bought this 6 months ago and it’s already broken. There have been no physical damages to it hasn’t been dropped. All of a sudden the Bluetooth just stopped connecting. My iPad won’t even recognize it as a device in the settings under Bluetooth when I try to connect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ever and then Not as much. This is my second keyboard of this exact variety, spendy but was worth purchasing again and then... I LOVED the first one and it lasted for years until the narrow case by the On button broke off and the rubber strip on bottom shifted and was sticky. And yet, loved the case enough to purchase again. However, within about two months of "well cared for use" the narrow case by the On button broke off and is now sharp, it looses its pair frequently and the magnet for keyboard to case is not as strong as the first one. Please go back to the materials and quality from a couple years ago. This is too spendy to last such a short time and it is still my favorite keyboard. Really wish the quality was like the first one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bug in the keyboard? This is a very nice keyboard and case. However, if I press the caps lock key It rotates the keyboard through (in my case) Hebrew, Emoji, or English.

Current issues: left hand shift key no longer functions; it will not charge; and the black strip on the bottom has come off. I bought this on amazon - and it is certainly not worth the price I paid!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent, but not durable at all I bought this case along with a brand new iPad that I needed for school. As a student, I am constantly using my iPad throughout the day. At the start of the year, the case was great. As the year went on, however, it began to deteriorate. The silicone strips had to be glued back on and a key fell off when I was just typing. Although the case is nice, it isn't the least bit durable. Considering the price, I thought the case would be able to stand up to everyday wear and tear, but I guess not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the convenience, not the buttons. I bought the keyboard for on the go typing since I prefer a keyboard. Love the ease and capabilities of the case and keyboard. I do not however like the fact that the keys can come off easily. I travel with it in my work bag, and I have had two keys pop off.

It's everything I wanted with the versatility of just a case but the option to use the keyboard as well. The app was an extra incentive when I purchased 6 months ago but there has yet to be a fix to make it useful. This is very frustrating and I hope Belkin fixes this soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great at first, then FAIL Although this keyboard case was an expensive purchase when compared to competitors' products, I initially thought it was well worth the extra expense. However, over time, several keys have fallen off the keyboard (and can't be reattached) and the protective rubber has pealed off. Like others, I've sometimes had trouble with the Bluetooth pairing, but managed to eventually get it to connect to my iPad. I've taken good care of my keyboard case, so I'm extremely disappointed in its durability. This isn't what I've come to expect from Belkin.

Belkin replaced it and now within five months the case is coming unglued again. So disappointing. A great concept but apparently made cheap. Not worth the money at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Qode ultimate case ipad air2 review This case is the best on the market ive teied aeveral keyboard cases. This one has no problem communicating to ipad. Is relativley good build quality (aluminum is thin and paint scratches easily) key board is fluid back light is awesome with 3 light settings and convienance is number one qith portraing and landacape modea easily usable. Only down side is the soft vinyl dents and scuffs like crazy. Black also woukd have been better then white.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please update app so it runs with iPad Air 2 Purchased unit today, May 12, 2016. Downloaded app from the Apple Store but it only ran once. Will not run anymore. I can tell you are no proving much support for the unit, as I did not find "Fry's" listed as a place of purchase. If the app worked, it would enhance the unit significantly.

What is there NOT to love? works great...looks great...i find i carry my laptop less and less. the best feature is the removable keyboard when using the tablet for watching shows or reading. it is so light weight i can carry easily in my pocketbook! love the back lit keys also. i always have someone comment on the case when i am using my tablet in public! I looked at several cases and i am SO glad i bought the QODE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this keyboard case so much, I bought 2! When I take work home at night, I like to work on my iPad instead of my laptop whenever possible. So when I got my new iPad Air 2 from Santa, I quickly purchased the Qode Ultimate Keyboard Case (in white/gold to match my iPad). I love the case- it's very lightweight compared to other cases in the market, protects my iPad, has an elegant design and the keys make it really easy to type. It allows use of the tablet in either landscape or portrait orientation. The back cover snaps on the iPad- with a rubberized/vinyl back that is nonslip and has a luxury feel. The keyboard base is aluminum and the keys are large and well-spaced. There are lots of shortcut keys that I still need to learn to use- but I do love the dedicated Siri key. The backlit keyboard is has three brightness levels ... all of which illuminate evenly across the keyboard. I love this keyboard so much I purchased a second one "just in case".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this keyboard Have had for 2 months now. Have had several over the years for various iPads. Recently had ZaggKey, and really liked it. This has better control over the battery life. I also really like the feel of the keys. The only real complaint I have is the same one I had with ZaggKey: The keys are all quiet, but the darn space key! I use this to take notes at lectures. Often it is quiet, except for the lecturer. Those around me cannot hear me typing on the regular keys, but the space key is a real nuisance sound, and distracts both me and the other listeners around me. I type quite quickly, and the space key is noisy. Seems to be no reason for this, except non-attention to sound quality. Otherwise QUITE happy with the Belkin QODE Ultimate Pro Keyboard for my iPad Air 2.
