Black Box Serial<->Parallel Converter IV - parallel/serial adapter - IEEE 1

This Serial <-> Parallel Converter IV is designed for HP JetDirect print servers. The converter features an 8-position DIP switch to set the data rate from 300 bps all the way up to 38.4 kbps - with six data rates in between! It also senses which connected device is DTE and which is DCE and adjusts accordingly. You can set flow-control method (hardware or X-ON/X-OFF), parity, and word length with the external DIP switches. The Serial <-> Parallel Converter IV is compact enough for laptop users, yet it can work with any desktop computer connected to a power outlet. The converter draws its power from the connected device and requires no external power supply.
