THEY ARE MORE THAN LONG ENOUGH WHICH IS WHY I BOUGHT THEM, THE W/D PORTABLE USB 3.0 DRIVE COMES WITH A CABLE A LITTLE OVER A FOOT LONG. (USELESS) THEY WORK PERFECTLY AND I WILL BE BUYING MORE IN THE FUTURE.

Rated 5 out of 5 byGigabyteGuy from Plenty of BandwidthBackward compatible with USB 2.0 - transfers are faster on this cable in a 2.0--3.0 transfer than with the original cable. I think it is because this cable is thicker and has more bandwidth to transfer files on.

External drive did come with a shorter cable, but these external drives were going to be specifically used sitting on top of a PC Case and the cables supplied, were too short. These cables worked out well for this purpose.
