Rated 5 out of 5 by from My point and shoot of choice as a pro!Had this camera for 2 years and loved it until my kayak thought it might like a taste of the lake! This is the best point and shoot camera you can buy for the price! Works very well with my pro flashes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cameraThis camera is great for most situations. Those that gave poor reviews didn't read the manual.it has image stabilization for point shots. its always ready when you need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing zoom & easy to useI purchased this camera in March and used it on vacation in October. It's super easy to use the automatic settings and my photos are fabulous! The zoom is amazing. I'm so happy with this purchase; I just purchased another one for a family member. Would definitely recommend for someone who wants something better than phone-photos, or a standard point-and-shoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Zoom; Indoor White Balance ProblemsI am a Canon fan and have been for over 40 years starting with my first “real” camera, the Canonet GIII QL17 rangefinder. I have had the Powershot SX series from the 40 and I have to say, while I am impressed with the speed and the zoom and it’s a great outdoor camera in sunlight, indoor is not quite as good as the SX40 or SX50. With a slight push and setting the white balance to incandescent, I can get a beautiful white color inside in incandescent light with the 50 or 40. With the SX60, it’s yellow no matter how much you push it. It can be fixed in Photoshop, but it’s an extra step now. I think it’s because the pixel sensor isn’t as wide as the previous models. They reduce it a bit more each time. I also do not like the selection wheel; it’s really difficult to use and I have tiny fingers. Love the non pop-up flash. That’s definitely an improvement, and when compared with the previous models, the resolution is much better with the SX60, although. I’m not sure why Canon couldn’t upgrade it to 20mP as with most cameras. This is a crucial flaw. The screen is larger and a much better resolution, the level is also a good addition. Moving the push button to a completely separate function is weird and hard to get used to, but definitely has potential in that you can now take photos with 3 different settings for HDR. The guide is a different format and making it more like a pamphlet and less like a book makes it more difficult to use. Wifi is not easy to use when transferring to a computer, but is with an iPad. The wider lens is probably one reason why the camera is heavier (along with the longer optical zoom, but both make it well worth the extra weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent CameraI had the Powershot SX40 HS and I loved that camera. I had to sell it to help cover an eye surgery but I already had the SX60 HS, too. I love both cameras but the SX60 will be just fine. I took a photo of a farm house that is about 5 miles away from my deck with the lens extended and WOW. The farm house looks like it was across the street. I have many Canon products and this camera is great. I think I could sell some of my work but that will come later. This camera has SO many features and I also added the remote trigger and I have an iPad mini connected Wi-Fi. I can see what I'm shooting long range on the iPad AND I can control the camera with the iPad. HOW COOL IS THAT? This camera is a must have...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Christmas giftMy son gave me this camera for Christmas last year because he had one. Although the camera I got for Christmas had the flash feature go bad, I sent it to Canon to be repaired they just sent me a replacement. The camera I had took outstanding pictures and the zoom was out of this world (Moon and other distance shots The shooting mode features are awesome! Best camera I've ever owned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome CameraPurchased this just before a trip to Alaska so I didn't get much time to get used to it's operating system. That said most of our pictures where taken in the Auto mode. I got some awesome shots of eagles and whales and not 1 shot was out of focus.Last night I was able to capture pics of the eclipse of the moon that came out great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointedI bought this camera for the wife to use since she's strickly a point and shoot person. As much as I tried I couldn't get one decent picture indoors, outdoors or anywhere else. Pictures would not focus, washed out, full of noise and grainy. I did manage to manual focus a few pictures but they still where like i said above. I took the exact same pictures with my phone and then the SX60 and my S5 makes way better pictures. Luckily I bought it at Best Buy and took it back. I thought I was getting a top of the line P&S but it's not that.
