The Z600 and Z800 internal disk drives blind-mate to the signal cables coming from the motherboard. This leaves no method for connecting 3rd party HBA Storage Controllers to the drives. The HP Internal Mini SAS 4i Adapter cable enables 3rd party HBA Storage Controllers with Mini SAS 4i connectors to be installed.
