Rated 5 out of 5 by from Emmersive experience with quality hardware!I purchased this monitor for multitasking purposes. I use it with BetterSnapTool to organize my screen into 3 columns or 6 squares. Windows snap perfectly and the screen makes multitasking a breeze. I do some light gaming on it (mostly strategy games and I haven't had any issues with the refresh rate. Maybe in a racing game or FPS it would not be as smooth. Having this monitor has changed the way I work. I highly recommend using it with a monitor arm so you can move it around easily. Picture quality is excellent, though not as sharp as what you see on a retina-type display. Quality is very good. Brightness is excellent, I never go more than 30% brightness - that's how bright it gets.

Would love to see a built in suto calibrator so that i can change colorspaces easily for different printing situations. Love the size of the monitor for multiple working windows, i look forward to years of use from the really great monitor.

Here’s some info for those using Mac OS 10.9.5; The On Screen Control software located on LG’s Support website is not compatible/ won’t install with OS 10.9, but the installer found on the included disk will and does! Works great!!

I downloaded the driver and clicked on menu to configure the screen. I spent more time trying to decide which screen pattern I liked. The speakers are nice with good sound quality.

I usually have two windows open, but expand to full screen when I need to. Very clear and easy on the eyes. Have watched one movie and was impressed. Outstanding monitor!

They should make the directions for connections clearer. Also there is no where in any of the descriptions that list speakers but this monitor has some nice ones for built ins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life changing monitorI have been using this for a couple of weeks now. I can't believe how much more efficient this is than having two large monitors. Being able to work "in the middle" and use the sides for additional space is really a game changer. I have no idea where the speakers are, but they too are great and allowed me to eliminate the speakers off my desk. Finally the resolution and refresh make this monitor very easy on the eyes. My only criticism is that the instructions are less than optimal. An online video on how to set up and use the monitor would be great. I think I've figured it all out, but there may be an even better way. Not sure how I would find out.
