It works like a charm and was easy for me to set up.I am, by the way, a 70 year old female which should tell you something about how easy it was to set up. Of course the installation disk made it all the easier.My son, who is the hardware guru for his company's IT, recommended the Linksys E1200

It preforms perfectly, managing two full-time MacBooks, a wireless Epson printer and Iphone and frequently, several guest computers and smartphones. It is fast, reliable and the basic setup takes just a few minutes. Advanced features and controls were harder to use. It took quite a while to discover how to access and control advance features from my browser. The quick setup feature doesn't address rebooting or tell you how to access the client list among other things. That information and the router's web address should be easier to find. I like the router, I'd buy it again.

My network is at home with three wired and three wireless devices (Computers, printers, and external drives) and the E-1200 handles it without a hitch.

I would certainly recommend this router to others. The signal is exceptionally strong. I live in a 3000+ sq foot home; the signal is operational in all areas! I use it for web surfing, email, telecommuting and wireless printing.

I have not had to re-boot the Linksys E1200 at all. It serves a smart phone, laptop computer and tablet and signal is very good from room to room.

After having troubles with past routers, I have a great appreciation to the ease of use and features this router comes with. I have multiple laptops in the house, stream media to my TV with the E1200, and use it for wireless printing and it all works great. I'd definitely recommend it if you don't need especially long range or multiple floors.

I called Cisco's tech support dept. and was talked thru how to reset the router and how to change the computer settings to get the router to start working properly. The tech was professional, pleasant and patient in solving my system problems. this is my first experience using a cisco systems product and between the outstanding customer support and great product performance I would highly recommend it to family and friends. I am very pleased with the product!

Really convenient is the division of main house and guest part of the router w parental controls for ease of adding or removing websites and limiting access hours , for children or students in the home, no problems setting up, accessing or using router. From that point, everything has been slow and even my iPhone shifts to my guest access for no apparent reason. My rating would easily be excellent if it worked with Lion like it did with Snow Leopard. Hopefully the issue will be resolved!!!

I have to tell you I inserted the CD and clicked the .exe file and this thing practically set itself up. This includes security which I didn't have on my old router because it seemed too difficult to set up. Connectivity is outstanding and best of all you don't have to buy this at some specialty store. They carry it at Wal-Mart. Kudos to you Cisco!!!!

I like to watch movies on my laptop, and my wife uses hers to help her in her knitting business. Since my laptop was in the dining rooom, closer to the old modem, I had no problems, but her computer's reception of the wifi signal was erratic, sometimes disappearing altogether. Now that we have the E1200 my wife is a much happier camper and our reception of the wifi signal, mo matter where we are using our computers (as well as a new IPad) is excellent.

I was having trouble staying connected and it would drop on my windows 7 but not on my vista. I upgraded to the E1200 and that was history for my dropped signal .I have 3 computers, 2 tv's and ps3 connected. I can surf the net and watch netflx streamed to my tv . I would recommend this to anyone.

The quality of the product is very good. It sends out a very powerful signal, so you have many options as to where to place your receiving items (e.g. laptop, cell phone, etc.)

I use my laptop in the basement (where my office is) daily and on some occasions, on average at least once everyday, I either lose internet access/connection all together, or I have to move my lap top some where to receive a signal etc. This may have to do with the type of internet service I have as well, but besides that the product works quite well.

I got a new computer and new internet provider and my old Linksys was an older version and I was told I needed a newer version, so I bought one. There are times the wireless will not automatically connect to my Iphone when I turn it on at home. I have had to check the settings and several times i've had to unplug the box, or turn it off and on before it reconnects. I've even had to reinstall the settings on my cell phone before it will connect. there are place in my home and right outside on my patio that will not carry the wireless. Needless to say, i think my older version worked better. Maybe had I bought the more expensive model i would be happier, but I couldn't not afford the more expensive unit and my needs were not that extensive to buy a bigger model. I would recommend this product because i think Linksys is a good product, but maybe an upgraded version.

So I went out and got the E1200 and all I really had to do was plug it in and it worked. Once I installed teh software - it has been the best, fastest and no complications router. When I mentioned this at the local shop, the rep was very impressed it had lasted over 5 years. Based on that, I asked for another one of your products and brought home what I needed. Set up was even faster than the last time I set up a router, which included an iPad and a wireless printer being brought online. Very impress d indeed!

I am very limited in my computer knowledge and wanted something I could install my self with very little hassle. The sales person suggested this product, said it met all our needs and was very simple to install. He said just follow the disc that comes with it, it will ask you two questions and it will pretty much do the rest . He said just follow what it tells you to do . I was a little skeptical, because nothing is ever as easy as it sounds. I must say I am totally impressed, it was exactly as he said . I installed it with no problems. Quick and easy that was a first ! We have been using it now for a couple of weeks and it is great ! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone in the market for a wireless router, two thumbs up !!!

The lone issue I have is I cannot link to Linksys online utilities to upgrade BIOS or other checks if needed. They changed their online support theme and I still can't find my way through using former links and instructions provided in the box.

First thing they said, was throw away the set up disk and then walked me through about a 30 minute procedure. Haven't had any problems since it has been set up.

I have only had experience with a few routers so I don't really know if there is any difference. Just keep upgrading as you go. I don't really like the software that comes with the old router so I don't really use it.

I now get Very Good to Excellent reception throughout my home, which includes some 8"cinder block walls. And I don't have to carefully position the unit. I just laid it on the desk behind my PC monitor.

I have always had Netgear but when I purchased a wireless printer for my laptop I began to have problem getting the router to cooperate wih my laptop. I tried everything including purchasing a new one (twice) before decdding to by the Linksys E1200. First, I didn't have to figure out the security program, it was automatic. Secondly, I did not have to reset the router when my daughter came to visit with her laptop, the Linksys 1200 made it very easy by assigning a code for guest users. There's more but I guess I'm out of room. I just enjoy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Linksys E1200!Our wired DSL connection was fine when we had only 1 computer, but when I bought a netbook PC, I wanted to be able to be online on the netbook anywhere in the house, even when my husband was online on our desktop Mac. The Linksys E1200 Wireless-N Router was the perfect solution! Setup was a cinch, thanks to great software and well-written instructions. The wireless connection with the E1200 is even faster on the Mac than the wired connection used to be. And it cost less than I thought it would to get a unit with the signal strength we needed. I highly recommend the E1200. Based on my experience with this product, I would definitely consider other Cisco products in the future.

Why can't manufacturers state the radio signal power? Secondly, I would like to have activity lights visible (perhaps switchable for when required) for W/LAN problem solving. I like the inclusion of an on/off switch but it's recessed and is more difficult to switch on than off.The unit is small and inconspicuous but can only be laid flat on a surface. It's probably good value for money as long as you know its limitations but its WiFi range isn't as good as others. As it's a V2, I've upgraded the firmware to DD-WRT which makes it more configurable and I can tweak the power from its standard 70 to 100% but the HG633 still out-performs it!

From the advanced screen there are many things you can do to improve the security of your home. This router is always on and has lasted for quite sometime. Looked at the Linksys E 1200 along with a couple other brands. Came home did some research (via ethernet cable) and settled on the Linksys router. Glad we did; has worked extremely well and after six months is still going strong.I'd buy another if the need arose.

Usually secondary equipment like this is hidden under the desk. However, with this fabulous design, it is sitting next to my Apple computer on the desk. It looks like it should have an Apple logo on it. I can now use my ipad anywhere in the house, yard or neighbors house.

Some days my connection is quick and smooth. Other days, there will be hitches where it will be slow for a little bit, then speed back up.I have done what I can to eliminate any interference (changed the router's channel, separated from other devices, etc.), but there is still the occasional hiccup. This, however, is not a huge deal, because the browsing speed is still faster than my older router...even when the E1200 is running a bit sluggish.

It is slow. I am not tech savvy enough to know there were better units out there.

As long as you are even somewhat capable of reading directions to set the support sssoftware up, you will have no problems! It is good for at least up to 25 guests to log on.

Along with the modem provided by the Internet Service Provider, my laptop and printer are two devices that are effectively and efficiently connected via the Linksys Router. Also, updates can be installed as they become available. There are instructions and prompts that allow the customer to utilize up-to-date features of the router, and set-up their account information. Adding devices to the router is a simple process with understandable instructions provided. One option worth mentioning is using a flash-drive to download the start-up key to a new device that you want to add to the router. This feature simplifies the process even more. I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend it to a friend.

After noting it was the model unit my sister-in-law had I decided to purchase one. The setup was simple and I really like the "guest" feature that you can use to allow / limit those who can use my wifi. It has been trouble free for the past 5 months and has a pretty fair range in our home as I can access the internet from any room in our 3 story house. With rich feature it comes with a great UI.But, the first time I faced problem to setup my internet connection using Linksys Connect CD. But, after accessing with 192.168.1.1 it was easy to setup it. it's range is also great, I've placed it in the middle of my house's ground floor, but I get minimum 19 mbps signal strength from the roof (3-storied) or from and room.But, and antenna would increase it's signal strength more.

I was surprised it didn't have the customary lights when in use, but it still works. It has a different sleek design which I don't find attractive, yet, it's acceptable based on its consistently good connections. The flat, sleek design actually turns out to be useful to lay things on temporarily while working. I like this product.

This Linksys router has been a trooper since I first hooked it up. We haven't even thought about it for 6 months! We stream Netflix to our TV and run multiple computers from it. I recommend it highly!

We have not been thrown off the internet since I bought the Linksys router. Currently we cannot use it wirelessly as the building we have our office in interferes with all wireless devices!

It of course showed me all the available networks within broadcast range but it is easy to make them unavailable to this router. have yet to set up a wireless printer but bet it happens as easily as the inital set up. Nice to be able to move around the house to work. Great Value for the money!

I finally decided to replace the router and after reading reviews got the E1200. I anticipated us being down for a day while I got things going again, but to my surprise it literally configured itself on both machines and eliminated all our problems. Should have done it sooner. For a home system this is a great buy.

The first one was a Netgear and this Linksys is a much better product to have and to use. The easiness in the installation process was fantastic and now when we go to connect to the internet (we have five computers and a gaming system) we have no trouble. I do not have to reset the modem and the router every time we go to use it . Turn it on and we are off. It is also very easy to use when connecting to the Nook. Thank you

The E1200 was very easy to install and was working within minutes of arriving in my home. It meets my needs and it provides all the services as advertised. I would have appreciated a little bit more range; sometimes I cannot receive a signal on my front porch, but I can live with that. It is a great value for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Signal can be intermittentThis router is a lot better than other routers I have used before. With the Cisco Connect software, setup was a breeze. However, sometimes the wireless ability hinders connection of my further-away computers. The direct connections are always on, but wi-fi disappears or is weaker than the original source (I have a wi-fi modem, and it's easier to connect to). If you have one long enough ethernet cable, I would suggest you use it for constant connection rather than the wireless feature.

I have two gaming consoles and a total of two laptops and a desktop everything is connected all at once. The streaming is flawless. Being a dad on CALLOFDUTY MODERN WARFARE, younger child watching Dora on Netflix. The wife working on Projects for work sometimes at home. All i can say is WOW. Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great for inexpensive routerI have used this router for over a year and have had little trouble. I use it with both Mac and PC computers and it generally works smoothly. I have had to reset it several times but other than that I haven't had any problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bit of a let downI have been using Linksys routers for a long time now. i bought this router to give my kids controlled access to the internet. I had an older router that i could restrict websites and even Key words. This Router does allow websties to be restricted but they have taken the Key word restriction away. Didn't find that out until i had it connected and configured so i couldn't take it back to the store. Talking with tech support they tell me the option is available in the AT series routers. I should have done my homework better and i could have avoided this. Why would you take features like this out of a system? The Router as purchased is a good router. I have one i use for work and is easily reconfigured for the multiple networks i need to access.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good RouterI had a low end Belkin router that worked so-so. It would constantly disconnect from my modem. This one works a lot better, and has not disconnected once. Very pleased with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, easy installI have a small home network, a couple of laptops, tv, printer and phones. installation was easy with the step by step instructions on the enclosed disk. Has been working great. The hardest thing about it was figuring out that the E1200 is the same thing as the N300-- after that it was easy! I would recommend this router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, and is very reliableI got this for I had a TV, DVD blu-ray player with sound system, PlayStation and cable box. Using all the input plugs and everything works perfect.Had a D-Link and a Linux router but couldn’t get either to work with the PlayStation.

And, i can connect my Nook color to the "guest", but when i try to get my email screen up an indicator just spins and spins.My desk top computer works really well. Go figure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slow wired & wireless even after updating firmwarePurchased a couple months ago to bridge with my EA7500 as a wired switch. Wired connection in bridge mode is slower than wireless directly connected to the 7500. Even slower speeds with a wireless connection to the 1200.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked well for a yearI purchased this router in Jan 2016 to upgrade the N150 router we had for some time. I have since purchase a booster to improve signal strength throughout the house. After little more than a year I started having problems with this router too, past the warranty date. Now the Internet light comes on intermittently, and I have to unplug and plug it in several times to get it to work. Even the old router works better sometimes. I finally had to get a router from the cable tech to confirm the problem was with mine. Not sure what direction I will go from here.

I contacted the company via "Chat" and my problem was solved. The technician was very helpful and patient with someone who is "technologically challenged"

This was the first router that I installed in less than 30 minutes with no problems. Plus the desktop icon that states the status of the router is incredibly useful. The days of looking at blinking green lights is a thing of the past.
