Rated 5 out of 5 byR2D2 from The perfect laptop for accountants working with monster spreadsheets all day.Our departed and current comptrollers both ran huge spreadsheets all day long that would take hours to update on Lenovo T470 and T480 laptops (i5, 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD). However they had nagging intermittent problems related to accessing our ERP and O365 applications while no one else in finance had a problem. Over time spreadsheet performance would degrade as well.Running out of ideas after the techs had do factory resets of the OS and reinstall of O365 to keep the laptops running I bought a Lenovo P52 with 16GB of EEC RAM and the comptroller is very happy now. It's been a couple of months since she started using the new 5.5 pound workstation and she has no complaints. My theory is that the T470/480 laptops with 16 GB of non-ECC RAM would become unreliable in a few weeks possibly caused by the heavy spreadsheet use. I firmly believe the ECC RAM is what solved the problem. The moral of the story is that data corruption still causes gremlins for power users but this beast exterminates the gremlins.
