Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lexmark CX421adn Multifunction As far as the physical printer/scanner/copier/fax is concerned I have no issues. The physical unit is easy to unpackage, install, and connect the additional separate parts, etc. The printer makes crisp clear prints and copies. I have two other very similar units, although neither is a multifunction, just a laser printer. Both of those work well and have been very reliable. My only major gripe about this printer is scanning. There is virtually nothing in the instructions, either in the box or in the downloaded user manual about scanning. As a matter of fact, many of the screen shots in the user guide do not appear on this model and are therefore useless. There is nothing about downloading other software to make the scanner work in the guide or instructions. I texted with Tech Support one day for over an hour and got nowhere. They said they would email me information when they found it, but as of today, 3-4 weeks later, they apparently have not found anything. The saving grace for the scanning was via another website that I happened up where another use mentioned something about having to download software for best use of the scanning. Sure enough, I found a 'Utility' download on the Lexmark website, that you had to read the hidden description of to find mention of scanning software. Once I download and installed the software I was able to scan and save documents via an attached computer. I believe this is also supposed to work using a networked computer and have the same functionality as an attached computer, but I am not positive about that.
