I had had an Otterbox with built in screen protector for my Samsung Galaxy S4, several years ago and that phone still looked like new when I took it out of the case! So, knew I wanted that level of protection again for my investment! The alpha glass reviews - left me with mixed feelings about spending that much, but I decided I would give it a try. The original ordered alpha glass cracked when I put the case on. :( But, I called Otterbox and they were great in their support and service and immediately sent me a new one and sent video instructions to watch. The most important thing seems to be getting the edges aligned really well, because the case snaps down and over the glass and I think maybe the alignment was slightly off, causing it to fracture from case pressure on the edge. The 2nd alpha glass screen protector arrived in about 5 days. I have installed it with no issue and it works great! Hard to tell it is even there. Phone response still great. Happy so far! Phones are too expensive not to protect well, and Otterbox is the best in my opinion! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 byNLROCK from Not worth itDoesn't seal at top or bottom so you have difficulty with touch interface at important areas of screen (home button, incoming messages). Dust would find it's way in as a result.

Rated 5 out of 5 byDiana from broke right awayI skillfully affixed the Alpha Glass Screen Protector and without dropping it nor placing it anywhere special, that would cause stress, the glass is completely cracked in many places. IDK why it didn't last even one week. Perhaps the glass is too thin for a larger S8+. I wouldn't recommend this product.

But the Alpha glass is almost cut too large to fit with ANY case. The S7 glass allowed a slight edge from where the Alpha glass ended to the actual edge of the S7 screen, all the way around. This one on the S8 goes to the edge of the glass completely. I'm dead-aligned with the ear speaker and the bottom of the Alpha class is just barely longer than the actual screen. So any case I put on, including the Otterbox, actually pushes the Alpha Glass up and creates a gap at the bottom. I have to wonder if I may have a defective Alpha Glass because I cannot imagine the Otterbox products would not play well together. I'm making it work now with just the Alpha Glass on and no case which I know is a risky move. Hoping the product improves for others but I wouldn't recommend just yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 byBrody from Flimsy and Cheap for Something So ExpensiveI returned the Alpha Glass accessory because it was thoughtlessly, cheaply designed and executed. Unlike the Samsung S7 case (which cannot be traded for credit, outrageously enough, in which protective glass was wisely integrated into the design, the Alpha glass has a weak adhesive intended to affix to the screen. Within minutes of applying it, I could tell immediately that it would fall off with time - which was within minutes of applying it. The Alpha glass also prevented me from accessing my phone's features right away, which was truly annoying. So, I really wish Otter Box would offer a trade-in programme for return customers, and would reintegrate the protective glass into its cases. Until then, I may have to find another manufacturer. Truly disappointing.
