But realizing that substance trumps form when it comes to protecting your mobile phone, I happily wrapped it around my Galaxy S5. Sadly, that phone succumbed to the mobile's version of dementia, and its job has been picked up by a sleek new model that cried out for an equally sleek cover; hence, my purchase of the Commuter. So far, we get along famously. Question: Is there a screen protector compatible with this cover? Thanks for taking care of mobiles the world over.

The port covers easy to access, although it will take time to determine if the flap hinge wears out. My only request would be a screen cover like they provide for the iPhone models. Then it would be 5 stars.

One hand texting is ambitious per it feels like the phone is just going to slide through my hands. Works for now. Needs more grip one the side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very slippery The case fits well, but it is very slippery. It feels like it could slip out of your hands easily and even when you put it down it likes to slide on any surface. I don't know how this one differs from the Defender, but I'd take a look at that one first.

I have had Otterbox cases on all of my phones, and I won't have anything else. Even being in Australia, the Otterbox company is extremely efficient, and I always receive the cases within a week of ordering them. I got the plain black case and it looks very smart, and is very comfortable and safe to hold. The camera lens is very protected, as is the whole phone. I can't recommend this case more highly, and would definitely not change it for anything else! Thanks Otterbox!

Though the weight is a little bit heavier than I thought, still a high quality and practical product that I recommand to everyone who looking for a case can truly take care ur phone from accident.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Purchase Bought this item a month ago. The case is holding up nicely. I bought a defender for my last phone and the rubber turned black around the edges very fast. I bought this phone because it had the plastic so I wouldn't have the same problem. The rubber around the plastic is turning a darker shade of turquoise because of dirt, however the bright blue plastic has stayed very clean and still works great. Besides for the small amount of dirt on the phone, the case is working GREAT!

It is almost impossible to connect your touch with the screen with the glass protector between. I am so frustrated as I have been very happy with Otterbox products previously. Something has to be done to improve this situation, I am so unhappy with this Otterbox and the glass protector. I will be surprised if you list my honest review. Customers need to know they should avoid these glass protectors at all costs.

I was a little nervous getting the 2 piece case thinking it would be bulky. I LOVE IT! It's not bulky and I've already dropped my phone too many times to count and it's like brand new! And it's a super cute color. Definitely not disappointed with this!

The one I purchased for my Galaxy S8 is good for the top and bottom of the screen, but is lower than the sides of the screen. Therefore the protection it offers is diminished.

The case fits my S8 although I am concerned the glass on the front is a little higher than the case so if it falls front first I'm not sure it would be protected. I have a smaller samsung and the case fits well above the front glass. I haven't had it long & it hasn't fallen so I cannot say that it works or doesn't work to protect it. In general what I read from other case reviews, the S8 is very hard to find a case to really be protective and fit well due to the rounded glass on the front.

My most recent acquisition came suddenly, when my previous device inexplicably died. Besides the quality of the new phone itself, I had two non-negotiable requirements: there had to be both an OtterBox and an InvisibleShield available for the model in question. Yes, those are deal breakers for me, and I bought a new phone that matched those needs. You'll never regret buying an OtterBox. Honest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great protection I had Otterbox for my Droid Maxx and I must have dropped that thing every other day during the year and a half of ownership. Still looks like the day I bought it, dropped it on concrete from several feet while on a ladder not a scratch. Just a side note, I wish the hard shell was not so slippery but it does get better over time. But overall this case is just as rugged as the one for my Droid was, so I am very confident that my Galaxy S8 will be protected.

BUT, I work in a marine industrial environment and the cases I have bought are responsible for my phones lasting upwards of two years undamaged. When I upgrad and get a new phone I will absolutely pick up another case from Otterbox.
