Black Box FlexPoint RS-232 to Fiber Converter - Serial Port Extender - RS-2

The FlexPoint Async RS232 Extender Over Fiber featuring DB9 Female to ST Multimode, 2.5 km works as a serial fiber converter and can extend cable length over a distance of 1.5 mi. to overcome the cable's limitation of 50 feet. The Black Box® RS-232 to fiber converter allows full asynchronous, point-to-point operation over MM fiber, and it comes with a DC power supply. You can also power it up with the FlexPoint Power Chassis, sold separately. Use the extender as a standalone device or a chassis-based extender. It's hot-swappable and easy to install.

The serial port extender supports full-duplex and half-duplex and configuration with DTE and DCE devices. It offers an autosense speed of up to 115.2 kbps. The remote loop capability is useful to test the status of fiber and LEDs remotely. The Black Box® extender has a DB9-F connector on the RS232 side and a pair of ST connectors on the fiber side.
