This handy adapter enables you to save on coax cable and equipment costs when connecting your VGA/XGA devices to an expensive video switch or splitter.
The Black Box VGA - >RGB Converter converts a video card's VGA/XGA signals (for red, green, blue, sync vertical, and sync horizontal) to three RGB with sync-on-green (RGsB) signals. This way, you can connect to a high-end video switch or multisync monitor that has three ports instead of five and use three coax cables instead of five to make the connections.
The converter supports all emulated video modes, including CGA, MDA, EGA, VGA, and XGA.
What's more, the VGA - >RGB Converter doesn't require an external power supply, and it supports both negative and positive synchronization pulses.
