The Brother Image Center ADS-1000W desktop scanner offers powerful features for your home office or small business in a sleek, compact design. Using the 20-page capacity auto document feeder, this scanner is able to capture single and double-sided documents in a single pass at speeds of up to 16-ppm, (color and monochrome scan speed with all advanced features turned off, LTR at 300dpi) making it perfect for scanning multi-page, two-sided business documents, as well as single-page (Single sheet, single-sided, 14-29lb bond.) documents up to 34" long, receipts, business cards, photographs, and embossed plastic cards using the rear card slot.

It is easy to operate, prints beautifully, and is filled with so many options for copying and scanning. I am an admin. assist. and my job consists of AP/AR, admitting residents and so forth, and this printer has been extremely reliable! Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 byTexasbelle from Good little scannerScanner does handle about 10 pages, double sided at a time. Often the pages go askew and I have to rescan them. Option to crop and flipping available, but not straightening. Scans some photo paper, but not all. Scans photos a little dark, can not do X-rays. Overall works for our dental office to scan records to go paperless. The cable from the computer to scanner did stop working after a month, so brother sent me a new one in about a week and a half. Scans relatively quickly and it's a nice small size for a desktop.
