The only downside is the proprietary labels which is not a big deal since I don't print thousands of labels(i would like to be able to print with any labels. It works great for my small business. I had another Brother wireless printer but I hated having to tape down so many labels. After researching, I knew I wanted another Brother printer. The main benefit is not having to buy ink! The replacement rolls are quite expensive though. Another downfall is setting it up. If you want to print from a phone, you have to screenshot a label and open it from the Brother app to print. You cannot send straight to this printer like other printers. It is still worth the extra effort.

They are sufficient, but the addresses seem a little light to me. I bought this printer because it was one of the few specifically supporting Macs, so I appreciate that, and because it can be used with wi-fi. The big negative of this printer is that you have to buy Brother labels which are a lot more expensive than other brands. If I had to choose again, I might try harder to use a different brand with cheaper label options. Just bring the label prices down and I could be a Brother user for life. As it is, if label prices remain high and I ever had to buy another label printer, I'd probably explore other options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer when it works. It's a great label printer and was working fine until it ran out of labels. I replaced the labels but it won't reconnect to the network. Apparently I have to restart the router (kick all my co-workers and other devices off the internet just to get it to connect again. Terrible network interface. BRAdmin Pro 4 is useless to resolve the issue. It says Error but won't say what the error is and won't allow you to reset it or reset the connection. After a few restarts of the printer, it just says No Connection now though there is no error on the device and all the lights are green. It just wont connect. It's super frustrating. Even on initial setup, I had to use the USB because it wouldn't connect any other way. Brother should really get the interface and connection issues corrected.

Note - Be sure to buy the labels specifically made for this model. Others do not work. Overall extremely satisfied!

I haven’t tried the other features of the printer. Simple setup: connect to my network over Ethernet and was able to print 4x6 labels immediately.

As my sales increased I was using more printer ink to print out labels and lots of tape to tape it to the pkg. Peel and stick! Works wonderfully. And the directions were easy to follow for setup. Bluetooth, wireless feature also awesome. As I hate being tied to the computer and have no room to setup a label printer and computer. Printing from my phone is quick and easy.

Setup was easy (even on a mesh network and we can wirelessly print shipping labels. No more tape, toner, and paper. Yes, the DK-1247 labels are proprietary, but the additional cost is made up with less headaches, no toner to purchase, no paper to purchase, cut and tape. Print, peel, stick, and go.

This QL1110NWB label printer is no exception. Multiple connection options are a great feature for whatever your needs may be. It performs flawlessly for me. Larger OEM labels work best for a complete image of shipping labels. Other printers using 4 × 6 inch labels need to be sized in order to print a complete label. The QL1110NWB is easy to use without having to adjust your print settings for different vendors. What you see is what it prints, no more cut off images.

It is the only one we could find that works from an ipad if you run your business from an ipad. For initial connection you do have to connect it directly to your router to pick up the wifi, but only once then you are good to go. Instructions are not very laymen, so it took us a while to figure this out, but eventually did. Highly recommend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Label Printer This printer has replaced my Brother QL-1060N Label Printer because it would not read the 'identifier pins' on the bottom of large label cartridges. My intent was to print UPS labels. My initial impression of this new printer is very good. Print quality is outstanding (example; I printed a 'Letter-Sized' page to a 4" x 6" label and was impressed by its print quality, even though the image was half its original size). The print speed is quite good. Being able to connect with this printer, using Bluetooth, WiFi, Ethernet or USB, makes this printer very flexible. And the selection of labels that can be used with this printer is extensive. Overall, I give this printer TWO thumbs up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So convenient The wireless options (wifi/bluetooth for this thermal printer are SO convenient for someone that uses a laptop - and a Macbook Pro with no regular USB port at that! Sometimes small parts of the shipping labels come out slightly fuzzy, but it hasn't affected their scanning ability at all. The only thing I would change would be to give this printer a standby feature, so I don't have to manually turn it on and off all the time.

Brother are the only ones with 300 dpi for labels which I need for the post Officer scanners bc they don’t always pick up the others and then your package is not traceable. This machine works perfectly and was very quick and easy to get working. I was nervous because I have a Mac but I have no idea why people have had any issues, mine works perfectly. Love it for my small business!

Checked to make sure it was ios compatible before buying, and it is, but nowhere did it say that the great "Print Amazon labels direct to your Brother" was only applicable for WINDOWS. The software that you use to upload is a bit outdated and elementary and the manuals for setting up WiFi aren't clear. I read all of the literature that came with the machine, and still had to troll forums like Amazon comments and Youtube videos to figure out how to set it up, seeing what solutions other people had reached with the same issues. Often the print software can not communicate with the machine, or the paper cannot be fed even though it's connected w a USB and the proprietary Brother labels are fed correctly into the machine. Frustrating as it is very hit and miss if it will work properly.

Product support answered some printing issues and I discovered that certain browsers are better for printing than others. I use my iPhone for everything and this gives me the ability to complete my transactions exactly where they started, on phone! Couldn’t be happier!

I ship al ot and it was more convient My first printer did not work it would not print the labels I called customer service and they said it was probably defective so they sent me another and this one still does not print I have triwed everything

For me to print labels from my phone I have to take a screen shot edit the photo then I can print shipping label. But if your connected to a network with WiFi you do not have too. Upon receipt of the Brother Label Printer I was immediately impressed. With Bluetooth technology printing shipping labels for my side business was a breeze. This product was super easy to set up, the labels were easy to install and while this label printer packs a punch, it is not bulky and doesn`t take up a lot of space on my desk. The labels print smoothly and are easy to read and adhere to my packages well without worry of them coming off in the shipping process.

Used primarily for folder labels, we have found many other uses for it. For labels, it excels. Fast and easy set-up. The software is basic and easy to use right out of the box. The unit is quite flexible with various size tape dispensers. We now label our daily activity board, our lab materials, files, letters and just about everything we can apply a label to! The university IT department did have to set up the wireless networking for us, but aside from that, it was easy to assemble and operate. Highly recommend this product for office applications.

I`ve used other label printers and they took a lot longer to set up and use than this model, the Brother QL-1110NWB. This is really simple, follow the quick start guide and you`re up and running in minutes. You don`t need to download any software, which is nice. The starter roll is simple to install, takes less than a minute. I had no issues with it. I also like the size, can fit easily on your desk and not take up a ton of room. The print quality is good, didn`t experience any problems with smudges, everything always printed clearly and straight. You have the option to print as many labels, even one and not waste paper. The cutter makes a clean cut, no problems with that. The automatic crop function is an added bonus, allowing you to automatically print barcode labels from A4 letter size label sheets. It does come with P-touch Editor Lite, which helps you with creating and printing labels. I found this to be all I needed and had enough functions to meet my needs. You do get the USB cable with the printer. I also like that it has Bluetooth connection, so I am able to print using the iPrint&Label app. That is a great feature and one I have been using a lot with no problems. This is a fast printer, saves you money, prints labels up to 4 inches wide and great for postage labels, shipping labels and badges. I have printed all and each came out looking professional. I truly believe you wont find a better quality label printer for this price.

Unfortunately, the only way this machine works from ipad/iphone is to print from the iPrint&Label app. It will not allow you to print anything else. I can not emphasise that enough. This printer will not print anything except for labels from the iPrint&Label app. IT WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE. The one saving grace is that you can load photos (or screenshots in to the iPrint app. So, to print something, I have to take a screen shot, load that screen shot in to the app, crop it to the correct size, and finally print it. The printer is extremely high priced compared to other label printers. I thought it would be worth it for the wireless features, but it just isn't. Unless you can't find any other options, I would highly suggest you not buy this printer.

I want to love this product but just cant seem to get it to print correctly. I`ve tried numerous times and the alignment is off and ink smudged. The set up and installation process was seamless and very quick though. The printer is nice and compact which is great for a small desk/workspace area. I also like the reputable brand. Now, if only I could get the labels to print correctly!

Hello,This was my first experience with a label printer. I found the instructions to be quite easy. Within 5 minutes I had a bunch of labels printed for my containers in my kitchen and ask for my documents at my law firm. Would highly recommend to anyone who isn`t looking to spend a lot of time and energy expenditure on learning a new product. The quality of the ink and font was what surprised me the most.

Let me start by saying I previously used a name-brand thermal printer to print USPS/UPS labels. By comparison, this printer is fantastic. After opening the box, I was able to set up and begin using it within 15 minutes. The software download and instructions were easy to follow. This printer can be attached directly to a computer via provided USB cable. What sets this model apart from the standard thermal printer is the ability to set-up either wireless or via bluetooth. The fact that there is one less cable and the printer can be placed anywhere because of the wireless capability is a huge plus. The packaged software allows you to select from an extensive library of stock signs. Additionally, you can set custom type for labels, or fully customize the label by adding a stock photo or you can even upload your own photo. It makes organizing shelves super easy as the box label now has a visual reference to the item that belongs there. The label stock can be easily changed out to a different size for printing UPSP/FEDEX/UPS labels for shipping. The paper backing has registration marks which self aligns when installing new label rolls without any waste. The process of changing out rolls took about 10 seconds. This truly is a do-it-all thermal printer. The prints come out quick and the print is crisp and clear. The printer can be set to automatically cut off the tape at the end of your print or you can manually cut the label by pressing a button on the printer. No need to rip and tear skewing the labels. The continuous paper allows you to print long signs or banners without having to cram everything into a pre-ordained space. The best part is that since it is thermal, there are no messy and costly ink cartridges to replace. My only complaint is that the roll capacity for USPS/UPS labels is only 180 labels(my previous printer was 250). Also, the cost of the replacement tapes are a bit expensive. The Brother QL-1110NWB is a stylish and sleek looking model, but don`t be fooled, it is durable and well built. If you are in the market for a thermal printer, or you are already using a basic thermal printer, upgrading to this will not disappoint. With the Brother 1110NWB I am now able to complete twice as much in a shorter amount of time. I`m able to take this printer to charity events, sales, and even last minute changes in the car. I live in Hawaii and many of my packages travel around the world so it is important that my labels are durable and precise. Favorite feature: hands down the mobile app and wireless print option. This has literally SAVED me numerous times when last minute changes or additions are needed. My kids love it too. Perfect for school projects ; Assembly: Super easy and was printing from my phone within 5 minutes. Print Quality: Clear, Crisp, And FAST. I love the emoji symbols!! Overall: The Brother labels can get expensive, but the quality is by far more durable and the labels are more sticky than the off-brands from other printers. They last longer so I`m ok with the higher price. This handy label printer has streamlined production and makes the previous tedious label making a breeze.

I once again can say I have fallen in love with another Brother printer. From the initial setup to printing to the final product, this printer is top notch! It was so easy to install the ink and setup the printer with my computer. It has saved me so much time. Instead of waiting in line at the post office or UPS, I simply print from home and send from home. The clarity and quality is uncomparable to other similiar printers from other brands.

I wasn`t really in the market for a label maker, but once I started using the Brother label printer, I can`t imagine not having it at my disposal. I didn`t think I would use this product more then every once in a while, but in my few weeks having it, I find myself going out of my way to print a label for almost anything I could think to label. I really appreciated how easy the set up was. Instructions were clear and it was pretty much ready to use right out of the box. My favorite thing about the label maker is that it is wifi and bluetooth compatible, so it`s so easy to just print things straight from my laptop. If you are on the fence about this product I recommend trying it out!
