The SAS architecture offers a new level of price/performance flexibility for the system builder by supporting both SAS and Serial ATA (SATA) disk drives and components at data rates of up to 3 Gbps or 6 Gbps. These cables are constructed with 30 AWG, 8 pair cable, include the sideband signal cable and feature SFF-8087 connectors. This cable is used to connect a mini-SAS 36 host to a mini-SAS drive within a server or other network device.
