Rated 5 out of 5 by from Usually takes 1/2 hour to a day to print I have this printer in the same room as my modem so that is not the issue. Once it prints, it will continue with other printing, However, it takes at least 1/2 hour for that first print. Sometimes, I don't find my document in the printer until the next day. I do not recommend this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buyer beware! This is a horrible entry level laser printer. I want/need scanning capabilities. So, I decided to go with the Canon imageCLASS MF264dw. The scanner is where this printer fell horribly short of expectations! This particular model ONLY allows you to scan to a computer that is connected via USB. WHY?!!? The features to scan to email or scan to network drive are not available!! This does not work for me...and why they would disallow this feature on a printer that allows wireless configuration is beyond me. Furthermore, there is NOTHING documented anywhere to say which Canon printers specifically support this capability. So, packing it up and sending it back. I will not be looking at the Canon line of printers any longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst printer I've ever owned Forget using wireless with this thing. The drivers and utilities won't maintain connection with the printer. Chromebooks won't connect - especially now that Google Cloud Print is a thing of the past. I hate this thing - and I'm an IT support person. Ready to dump it and buy something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will not buy Canon again I purchased because of good price point and features, but when it takes more time, energy and effort to print (the device always errors. Requires unplugging. Inconsistently connects, and it just a PITA to print a document. It should not be this difficult. Menu nav sucks. I'd rather pay more for something that just works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the printer BUT! Print, scan and fax work great! It prints documents super fast. It works flawlessly through WiFi. What truly annoys me is that printed pages do not come far enough out or exit the machine completely and you have to reach in and grab them. It would be great if this machine had an exit tray that slides out for printed documents, then slides back when done. The other annoyance is the display lights that come on and every few minutes for no reason. It would be nice if when you hit the night button these lights stayed off. It’s ridiculous that I need to turn off this machine every night to avoid the bright lights. Another great feature of this machine is the keypad flips down!! Overall I do love this printer, but it does have some quirks that can be easily fixed or resolved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MF264dw replaces my 9 year old MF4450 Brought as a future replacement for a Canon MF4450 which i brought in 2011. It still works fine but makes funny noises sometimes and I was afraid it might fail when I really needed it. I set up the MF264dw made sure I can use every thing that it does it is excellent even has more functionality than the MF4450. It is currently off and on standby waiting in the wings for when I need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Copying is frustrating. I like to copy 2-sided to save paper, and this MF264DW makes it unnecessarily difficult to do that. I go through the menu and select 2-sided, and then when I try to actually copy, it reverts to single-sided. The online manual does not explain well what buttons to push to save the setting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good all around multi functioning printer! I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. With that being said, I review this canon printer from beginning from recieving it and its large packaging that was slightly intimidating in size. Removing product from box was surprisingly quite simple. As far as its location to be in either room in home which was too big and uncompatable with my set up and system so I took it to work office. I work both from home and work. Work space was a little more fitting and instructions seemed pretty explanatory and useful. I found features on printer to be easy,simple and efficient with timing. Printer ink cartridge was simple but I felt like it was leaking and I am not sure if that is what caused a delay in printing as it took some time to finish and a lot of ink at first but then seemed to quicken after uses. My current printer has easier features to connect to wifi from devices and is slightly smaller a little more convenient with space but I like the multiple features and quality of tested printer does seem a little nicer, prints a little more sharp and faster. Great printer all around! Love th

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer for Home office I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Printer arrived in box and was easy to unpackage. Instructions were simple and straightforward. I was up and running in about 20 minutes. The initial set-up easy. This printer does not have a touch-screen, which I don’t prefer anyways. The buttons on the front panel are big which makes it easy to toggle thru the menu options. I also liked that the energy save and quiet mode options are located right on the front panel for easy access. The actual appearance of the printer is sleek and simple (less is more). Print quality is amazing. It prints clear and crisp. No smudging. It is also fast for a smaller size printer. Love that it prints double-sided!! This will save a lot on wasted paper. At first I struggled because the printer was spitting the paper onto the table and not collecting it nicely in the tray. After playing around with it for a bit I realized my error and found the paper stopper. My husband owns his own computer business and is aware of a lot of printers that are on the market. He said this is one of the better quality printers he has seen. He likes how fast it boots up after “sleeping”, and how quickly it prints. He was orginallly going to take this to another office but has decided to keep it at his home office instead. Mobile Printing is my favorite feature. This is a game changer!! There are so many documents I save on my phone and this makes it as easy as 1-2-3. I downloaded the app and was able to print right away. Love it.

Overall it is a pretty good basic all-in-one black and white laser printer with scanner and fax ability. Out of the box it was well packaged, and it was mostly easy to set up. A couple of things to consider while setting up: 1 it does not come with the USB cord. If you have a wireless LAN, which I did, it was easy and did not need the cord. 2) It only comes with the PC driver CD. So if you have Mac like I do, you have to go online to the website and find the driver to download. It wasn’t a big deal, but it took a little bit to navigate through the website and find the driver, I wish it just came with the CD for Mac as well. 3) The printed manual that comes with the box doesn’t have full detail to set up everything, you need to go online and get the detailed manuals. I had a hard time with the scanner and adding the computer to the scanner, the manual didn’t explain which window to go add the computer, etc. it just said “add the computer.”… like that’s helpful. Pros: It’s easy to set up, green machine that lets you copy double side and multiple pages on one page, and have energy saving mode. You can also send fax straight from your computer; you don’t have to print out the document first, which is nice. It lets you scan multiple pages at a time through a feeder, (ONLY one side at a time.) Prints pretty fast, as laser printer, enough for a small office. Cons: Scanning through the feeder only does ONE side at a time, not double side. So even this has the ability to be more green and print on both sides, you can’t scan double-sided documents. I would pay more to get the double sided feature. The quality of the scanning through the feed tray is not excellent, but good enough for documents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't get it to interface with computer Couldn't get it to interface with my Mac -- downloaded the latest drivers and tried all the usual stuff (rebooting, turning off and on, etc. -- have basic tech skills. Really just a lousy product -- I ended up taking it in to be recycled rather than going thru hassle of a return. Bought a Brother printer that worked pretty much out of the box. Won't being buying any more Canon products

I wanted to print some simple brochures for my business using glossy paper. I used my inkjet printer. That was like printing in the rain because it smeared horribly. I was told I needed a laser jet printer for what I needed to do. This Canon printer was exactly what I needed. I followed the `getting started` instructions that came with the printer. The set-up was straight forward until I got to the WIFI set-up. I initially had some trouble inputting my WIFI code because I could not figure out how to move to the lowercase and the numbers. The instructions said if you need WIFI help go to a certain canon website. I did, but could not find this particular printer. I eventually fumbled around and figured it out on my own. Once the WIFI was set-up I synced it with my laptop and I went to a new printing dimension. The first thing I did was print a sample brochure on a glossy page. I rubbed it and it did not smear. YES! TWO THUMBS UP! PROS: This printer prints fast. The printing output is crisp with no bleeding or smearing. The function screen is simple to follow. I love that it prints seamlessly on two sides of a page. BONUS! My inkjet printer I had to take paper out and feed it back in printer and oftentimes I put it back the wrong way which wasted paper and ink. There are multiple ways to feed paper into the printer including a legal size paper slot. I also like that it can Fax but I have not set that up yet and it is also compatible with my iPad for wireless printing, but I see I need some help with that. CONS: The instruction booklet could use some revisions. While following instructions I ran out of the English pages and I thought that was it. Browsing through book I found more English in between the other languages. That section would have saved me some time when I was trying to set-up WIFI. It would be nice if this section was put with the rest of the English instructions. Also, the `getting started` section said to set the clock and keep printer on for 24 hours so battery could charge. I did this but I do not know where the clock went or how to get it back. I scanned the QR code and I`m still reading through the manual to find what happened with that. Recommendation: I really like this printer. It is multi-functional and I look forward to fully utilizing all its capabilities. My problem is not with the printer, but with the instructions. If you want a printer that works like a massive office printer then this printer is for you. I highly recommend it.

My computer does not have a cd drive, so it took some time to download the drivers and get the printer up and running. It does not come with a cord to plug in, so you have to download the drivers or supply your own cord. Once I had it up and running I thought the printer worked great and didn’t cause me any problems like home printers often do. The printing pace was good and I didn’t encounter any paper jams. Looking at the pieces of the printer, it does look like it would be fairly easy to unjam should that occur in the future. Overall I’m very satisfied with this printer.

I am very impressed with the speed and how quiet it is when it prints. I love that I can make copies and scan from my printer. My favorite feature is the Energy Saver tool that kicks on automatically when not in use to power down the printer. The set up was straight forward and the computer is connected wirelessly which makes printing from any room an added bonus. The product far exceeds my expectations for a home office printer because of the ease of set up, the design, and the speed that it prints and quietly. I would recommend this product to family and friends.

This multifunction printer (it also scans and faxes was easy to set up; I was able to connect it to Google Cloud Print in addition to the Cannon app. I did have to download the driver, which wasn`t a big deal. The instructions aren`t great, but the setup and menus were pretty intuitive, and the LCD screen is easy to read and navigate. It is attractive; while it`s pretty big it is relatively unobtrusive, visually. The print copy is great and it scans clearly. I don`t use the fax function so I can`t speak to that. It`s also fast and quiet. The only real gripe I have is that I don't think there's a way to scan both sides of the paper in one go. I do love being able to print shipping labels directly from my phone and scan things to my phone and tablet. All in all, this printer is a significant improvement over the one it replaced, and I have been impressed by the quality of the copies and ease of use. I would recommend this printer to someone looking for a fast, straightforward, and high-quality home or small business printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scanner and printer so far so good! Working from home I use this printer and scanner multiple times every day. I get very good results with the scanner and like the app that controls the type and quality of the scans. The printer is really quick, I can print a document out while on the phone with the clients to make notes without having to delay of ask for them to "hold on while I print this out". The only issue with the printer is that about once every 2 weeks there is a error message on the screen first thing in the morning, I have to turn it off and back on, then I am good for about 2 weeks before doing this routine again, not a deal breaker by any means - just odd

My only complaint is that the tray that holds the printed pages when they come out is awkward and seems like it would get backed up if you printed more than a few pages. Maybe I haven’t got it opened all the way, but I don’t think so!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iffy wireless. Print quality is 1st rate. My problem(s has been with wireless. First problem is corrected, as it was too far from the router. My current problem, although I haven't called tech support yet (Easter weekend) is that the printer will not wake up from sleep when called upon to print. As soon as I iron out the 'iffy' wireless, my rating would be 5 stars. Odd, by the way, that this is called 'Mobile Ready'. It's quite large and heavy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value all in one Purchashed for a home office. Typical Canon quality. Set up was easy - read the instructions first! Was tired of purchasing ink all the time. Only time will tell if toner turns out to be better. Only knock is the print quality isnt great. It's good, not outstanding. More than good enough to print out documents and make copies.
