Product Overview

A mini-tower UPS with line interactive topology, the CyberPower AVR Series CP1200AVR provides battery backup (using simulated sine wave output) and surge protection for desktop computers, workstations, networking devices, and home entertainment systems. During longer power outages, the CP1200AVR delivers enough battery backup power to perform a graceful shutdown to protect against the loss of data and damage to electronics. It uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct minor power fluctuations without switching to battery power, which extends battery life. AVR is essential in areas where power fluctuations occur frequently.

CyberPower CP1200AVR is rated1.00 out of5 by2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stay far away from the front panelIt looks like a good product from the pictures, but don't let that fool you. The push button on/off switch (located at the top of the front panel) not only sticks out like Pinocchio's nose, but it overly sensitive to touch. Let's face it- it has a HAIR TRIGGER- so if something (or someone's foot) should brush up against it- the unit turns off immediately. If you place this unit under a user's desk, you are asking for trouble. If something bumps the button (such as a wastebasket) - the protected device (user's computer) shuts down instantly- losing all the user's unsaved work. The user then will HUNT YOU DOWN and INFLICT GREAT PHYSICAL HARM upon you. So, give this UPS a pass- and the pain that you save will be your own.
