Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well, but address import does not work I switched computers which required a fresh download of Dymo Connect. A feature that I liked in the previous version is GONE! I had over a hundred addresses in the previous version that I'm unable to import into Dymo Connect. The Dymo Connect application doesn't recognize that any files even exist in the source directory. I can easily export *.CSV of the addresses that I want but DC won't see them. This is a feature that does not work. I'd be a happier customer if a listed feature worked. Even so - it does print fine. The previous version of the Win10 app was better than the newer version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waste of Money I had a DYMO Label for about 10 years, but it wasn't compatible with my new computer, so I bought the 450. What a waste of money. I've had it less than a year and it is already nothing more than a paperweight. When I try to print, it wraps around the spool and jams every time. I am throwing it away. Also, the older version imported my Outlook Contacts list. With this one, I have to copy and paste each time or wait for the contact list to populate. Sometimes the older version is better than the so-called new and improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One huge shortcoming The 450 is not compatible with Office 365, so your address book of contacts is not recognized. Support says a there is no fix contemplated. That’s a huge shortcoming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible setup One of the most appalling setups ever. The software failed to integrate with my Win7 / Office system. Even the native software is lacking all the labes sizes that were included in the retail package. Am I supposed to manually configure the labels? No way, this product was purchased to save my time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major Connectivity Issues With Printer Device works fine and software is mostly user friendly. Printer randomly disconnected and now no longer works. I am unable to locate the printer and have tried removing and relocating the printer with Windows 10 add printer wizard. Have also tried complete uninstall of software and drivers, but it's still not working. This is apparently a known issue. DYMO, this is unacceptable at this point. If your software is unable to locate the printer and assist the user with installation, IT IS NOT USER FRIENDLY.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unresponsive Worked fine for awhile. Then I got a jam. Unplugged it to stop before it got any worse. Cleared it out. After plugging it back in, it won't do anything. Checked troubleshooting. It says everything is fine and that the problem must be with the device. I tried using it on another computer, but it was the same. The lights are on and everything seems normal. The paper just won't feed through anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, but only prints one label after each restart Been happy with this and do not use it often from my Mac, which is good as I never (the last couple of years) have been able to print more than one label before restarting the Dymo to print one more. Was seeing the updated drivers now 8.5.2 and was thinking to download in the hope (not really, but a little) that it would make it possible to print more than one label, but the download links are not working ... .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prints Labels well, but ink fades.... I love this label maker. It is fast and efficient! I use it to label the books and media that I catalog in my library. However, the ink fades rather quickly (what a pain for labeling the spines of books), and I feel that Dymo could do a much better job of using a higher quality ink that does not fade, especially for professional use. I am now searching for a new label maker that prints labels that do not fade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never works properly. Was fine for a while now supposed to use at an office daily and it constantly backs up, prints too many labels then misaligns the paper, prints nothing after printing 1 label. Unplugging and waiting a whole day doesn't work. There's no trouble shooting resolution for this. We have gone through way too many already and they are NOT cheap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No good for Act users It took many months for the Act!2010 driver to be released in the US. Now, 3 months after that, there is no driver for non-US Act!2010 users - crazy given there are 2.8million of us. I bought on the marketing that it was Act! compatibile - but its not, now its an expensive paperweight. Oh, and the support is SHOCKING. Local dont know anything, and US support doesnt answer. Shame on you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! Will get one for home! We use this for library book spine labels and for address labels for envelopes. Could not ask for better convenience or ease of use. Easy to switch out the labels to use a different size. We work in a very fast-paced media center and it has made our life so much easier to create a spine label on the fly or an address label to mail something quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Office I bought this product about a month and a half ago, and it makes AP cheque runs SO much easier. Sometimes I notice that the big blue "print" button in the Dymo app/driver is not available to print, but I found that if I choose how many and then hit the print button on the top of the page, I get the same result which saves me time. The only feature I am slightly disappointed in is the no-colour feature. It didn't bother me until I tried to add our company logo (which is black grey and red) into our return address. Other than that I have had zero problems - no jams, no excessive blanks, no connection issues - our office uses Mac products too, which had me a little worried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Help I am a court reporter using this four exhibit labels. Have heard many good reviews about the product. It installed easy but it is constantly jamming and the labels get stuck to the roller. I really want to use this product but need advice on proper care/use. It's not use use to me if it gets jammed in the middle of a job. I definitely can't rely on it as is. Any help would be appreciated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine. Just don't turn it off Once the printer is installed, and as long as the printer is not unplugged thereafter from the power socket there are no issues. But if I turn off the printer, the next attempt to print results in jams, ghost print jobs (where the the machine keeps unspooling anywhere from 5 to 15 blank labels at a time), and also out-sized printing. In short, a great amount of frustration and wastage. After that initial bizarre behavior the printer works fine. Unless again if you happen unplug the printer, which I have had to do sometimes to move it to another location in the office, and try printing again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Windows 10 still fails I work in IT support and have had Dymo's that I've had to re-install multiple times for users. Usually it's trying to use the wrong driver, so the software isn't detecting it anymore. I assume the driver screws up during Windows 10 updates but it's still ridiculous that Dymo drivers don't seem to be interact with Windows 10 well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poorly manufactured, Propritiary stamps? I own a retail shipping facility and have managed them for 10 years. This is the worst product I am forced to use on daily basis. Most printer sense when their jammed and stop. Not the 450, it will just keep wrapping labels around itself until you pull the power. Then when your trying to unjam the printer, you realize that it wasn't built to be unjammed with out breaking further. To add injury to insult, unless your using WAY OVERPRICED dymo lables, they'll deny your warranty claim.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Your Money's Worth & More I had the 450 Turbo @ work, so, I knew what the tool could do. I am retired now and find that I still need a labelwriter to handle my personal business. My only regret is that I cannot purchase a more expensive one. The labelwriters from DYMO are wonderful. Saves time and money. Print the label when you need it--not use a whole sheet of labels for a one time mailing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for routine office environments. Tried to use in industrial clean room environment but labels smudge/fade/discolor if alcohol or other liquids are applied. Only pre-cut paper labels of specific sizes are available. I could not register online because site would not accept serial number no matter how I entered it. It would help product selection if Dymo would show examples of printing capabilities rather than one line simple text labels. This printer can do multiple lines of text with addressable fields and multiple formats in addition to adding graphics and art. It is black print only. It would seem good for ordinary office environments where thin paper labels are all that is required.

It finally gave out today. I purchased a new 450 right away. The 330 paid for itself many times over. I have nothing but respect for any man-made device that could stand up to this usage for so may years. Long live DYMO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bad, … very bad product! In all my experience, I have never come across a product that does not what they say it should do on the product sales department. I recently bought a Dymo 450, because I am looing for an integrated solution on my iMac (latest software. Although 'Mac-compatible' (Quote: 'Save time - create labels directly from text in … and other programs or easily print addresses from … or Mac® Address Book *Compatible with … and Mac OS® X v10.8 or later.') … it is NOT!: any other printer I have owned delivers a full scale printerdriver, or it is already integrated in MacOs. I use Pages, Numbers, filemaker, addressbook and other standard software on the Mac. I tried printing from Addressbook, but this is a nightmare! Also the printer does not automatically recognise which labels are in the machine, I cannot select the label size and orientation. The Demo-software seems to be the only alternative! I have seldom seen such unfriendly and labour-intensive software. After spending a lot of time figuring out the settings and what is possible (or better: what is NOT possible!) I manage to print a label. I can save this label, and possibly some people are happy with this, but I choose a Mac because of how hardware and software is integrated and intuitive, something that others still have not understood. Dymo software fits in the category of 'stone-age' software: nice try, … but back to the drawing board! I am very dis-satisfied with your customer support: under help (in the demo-software, I get an error on the site (generic error, and that is all I can read because it auto-flashes to the sales-page (would you believe it! - they have a sense of humor, its a bit morbid though), help on the sit: same problem, FAQs … same problem, customer support-form: after having typed in nice wording my questions (at that stage I wasn't steaming yet), the whole form disappeared!!! Tried phoning and found myself in Poland (phoning from the Netherlands)! I explained my state and why I was disappointed, receiving only an ear for a standard answer 'how great the Demo software is and that the device was working, … so what seems to be the problem?" I am left with a couple of bad experiences, a device that does work (at the level of almost windows 3.1 in comparison) but not according to what I thought I was going to get. Advice: do not buy this if you are a Mac-user.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DYMO LabelWriter 450 upgrade for windows 10 I had windows 7 for work, then I was upgraded to windows 10. With that I also received a newer version of DYMO LabelWriter. The new layout for the DYMO LabelWriter 450 looks clean and up to date. But that is all that is good about it. The software is supposed to be simple, fast, and easy to use, but It's functuality has gotten worst. Now there are multiple clicks to make one or more labels. It is slower even for just 1 label. No double click action to highlight anymore. Now I have to Highlight everything. It doesn't keep my font or the size of the label from the previous day either. I know these are little things to complain about. But if you had software that was easy to use, smart, and fast... Why would you change for garbage. I believe Dymo just wasted money for no reason. And now your customers has to suffer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't work on windows 8 I wish I could knew that before buying it. This printer is stuck in the past and cannot be installed in windows 8. Don't bother buying it. The drivers require .net framework 3.5 that was released in 2008 and it is not possible to install anymore. The fact that the software still requires a platform of 2008 means that the company doesn't care about the costumer and the evolving nature of the software and operative systems over the years

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot Print in Cold Climates Due to the pandemic, our office moved to a tent outside and we have found the Dymo 450 Turbo will not print labels at temps below 30 degrees. I think this is because of the device's thermal technology but do you have any suggestion how to print labels. Do I need a different label now that I am outside? Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used 3 versions They keep getting worse! The only one that keeps working is the Windows XP version. I keep it just for the label maker. The new Dymo Connect is the worst software I have ever used. Labelwriter 450. Wasted so many. Prints right 10% of tries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great File Jacket Label Maker As a multi-shop Collision Repair facility these Dymo label makers are great! We easily create our file jacket labels and each one stays uniform thanks to the software's ability to save the custom label. Rarely have I had much trouble with them and typically when I do it's from a user putting the labels in incorrectly. I highly recommend these units.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent buy to increase production The label writter has allowed us to increased our production by 25% due to the ability of using differnet size labels. This one feature allows to "zip" back and forth between orders without losing any time. The small size also allows it to be stored and used in any space. What a fantastic machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product This product is great if you don't want to spend over $1000 for a printer that essentially does the same thing as the Dymo. I have been using the same Dymo for a few years now, and it still works fine. I have probably printed over 10,000 labels by now. Every now and then I feed a heavy duty paper towel through soaked in alcohol to clean the roller. I have noticed the Dymo printer works best with the Dymo software, it gets picky when you try to print to it from custom or 3rd party software. But physically the Dymo works great, it would be nice if it was a little more heavy duty (it's completely plastic). Like i said though it has held up for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Grandfather Could Set This Up I work in science and have to label a lot of things - like a painful amount of stuff. While most scientists go to the bathroom to silently sob over their test results, I go there to mourn the number of samples on my benchtop that require me to write their names, concentrations, dates, origins, etc. I will spend half my time at the bench labeling samples only to realize a week later it is illegible (I used to think my 2nd-grade teacher's comment about how I write like her physician husband meant I was smart - I was off base there). I have done this process (crying and trying to read my own hieroglyphics) for years. When my label manager said I could get a label maker Dymo's LabelWriter 450, I was excited about finding a way to bypass the routine of my mornings' sobfest. The printer came in a box with everything clearly marked (excuse me, labeled) and it only took me a few minutes to put everything together (most of the time was spent trying to crawl under my desk to plug it in). Within the first hour of setting up the machine, I had already labeled dozens of samples with more detail than entirely necessary, but when you can put an entire paragraph about how the bacteria in the tube was bullied for missing his peptidoglycan layer you definitely should. While many of my fellow scientists regarded this as a waste of time, I actually saved time by printing with the Dymo LabelPrinter rather than handwriting the entire dramatic story of Staph, the lonely bacteria who has an infectious personality. Simply put, the Dymo label maker has saved my tear ducts, my hands from arthritis, and lots (and lots) of time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bad redesign. The Dymo 330 was an iron-clad, reliable workhorse. The redesign for the 400 series (including the 450) was a move in the wrong direction. The redesign grew the case (plastic housing where "LabelWriter 450" is printed) in such a way that the media needs to be pulled back inside that housing to print the next label. Pushing the printed media out, then pulling it back in to print the next label creates frustratingly frequent jamming.
