I expect, in this day, that you should be able to plug it in, and the drivers would do whatever configuration is required. Once it is working, it will stop working, for no apparent reason, and it doesn't know that it isn't working.On the positive side, when it is working, it works wonderfully. I have two units, a 9470 for work, and a 9450 for home. the 9470 was working flawlessly, until the most recent firmware update, which has caused it to only work with the desk phone when you answer the desk phone using the handset, and setting it down on the desk, then answering the desk phone using the base unit. The one option that does always work is the mobile phone, through the Bluetooth connection. Once connected (which is always a manual operation), it works 100% of the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 byCara Farley from nullJabra PRO 9400 Series continuously and intermittently disconnects for about 3-5 seconds and then reconnects. It does this when I am not on a call (the message just comes up on the phone's screen) or when I am on a call which is a huge inconvenience because I can't hear my client and they can't hear me during the disconnect. All of my colleagues with this product experience the same challenge with connectivity.

I did not find the around the neck or the over the ear comfortable at all. It works well. The instructions that shipped with the headset were not adequate, thank goodness for You Tube.

The call quality is excellent, better than my previous wired headphones, and with long range. Its worked perfectly for sound with my laptop as well, just plugged it in and it worked. The setup instructions were very good, having the LCD display really helped there.The battery life has been more than sufficient for my use, but I have never had to use it continuously for more than a couple of hours. I would guess it has about 6 hours of battery life. Disappointingly when I left it on my desk unused but not plugged into the base the battery drained as quickly as when it was in use, so make sure you always put it back on the base after use. Also it doesn't seem to recognize when a call has ended automatically.Transferring the base to use with other phones is a nuisance due to all the cables including power cable. I expect this is the same for all wireless headphones. I have kept my old wired headset for use when I am not at my normal desk.For very large heads like mine the headset and boom are not quite as adjustable as would be ideal. I am sure for more normal sized heads its very comfortable, but my old wired headset is better for me in this respect. Other than that the earpieces are comfortable and it feels high quality. It doesn't feel that robust - don't let a 2 year old get hold of it! However its fine for normal use, and is very light.The only other minor niggle is that the touch sensitive control on the headset to mute/unmute or change volume I have found a bit tricky in actual use - much easier to use the base.

I am an IT technician that has over 1500 associates and recommend JABRA (vs competitor) every time. I am a "generalist" when it comes to wireless headsets, but JABRA technicians are the Experts !

Rated 5 out of 5 byPete M. from nullThe product works very well -- comfortable to wear, noise-free, and callers on the other end of the line have no complaints about hearing me or about interference. It would have been ideal for the Web site / shop to require that I double check the requirements of connecting to my phone specifically (I had to purchase a separate connector for a very common phone system, but that wasn't apparent to me when purchasing the head-set).
