Juniper Networks offers a broad portfolio to meet the many needs of the branch and remote office as they evolve. Whatever the stage of your branch architecture, Juniper Networks delivers solutions for a secure, high performance office.

The Main Office Bundle includes AntiVirus, Deep Inspection, Web Filtering and Anti-Spam software.

Network-based antivirus protection, unlike desktop or host based antivirus, scans network traffic for viruses giving IT administrators control of how and when to scan for viruses in the network. By scanning for viruses in the most commonly used protocols - including content such as mail, web and file transfers - as it crosses the network perimeter, network-based antivirus solutions can stop viruses before they spread and infect desktops. Using a multi-layered security strategy gives IT administrator the ability to control how best to protect the organization at every level.

To help stop application level attacks from penetrating and proliferating across the network, Juniper Networks firewalls integrate intrusion prevention technology in the form of a Deep Inspection firewall. Leveraging the efficiencies of both Stateful inspection and IPS technologies, Juniper Networks Deep Inspection firewall can efficiently perform network security functions as well as analysis on the application message to determine whether to accept or deny traffic.

Web filtering can minimize proprietary data leakage and the liability associated with downloading copyrighted material. This technology can also be used to prevent users from accessing inappropriate, non-business Web sites, increasing overall corporate productivity and minimizing the liability associated with misuse of company resources.

The Anti-Spam examines transmitted messages and decides which are spam and which are not. When the device detects a message deemed to be spam, it either tags the message field with a preprogrammed string, or it drops the message. Anti-Spam uses a constantly-updated IPbased spam blocking service that uses information gathered worldwide. Because this service is robust and yields very few false positives, it is not mandatory to tune or configure blacklists. However, the administrator has the option of adding specific domains and IPs to local whitelists or blacklists, which the device can enforce locally.
