The monitor itself in theory would work fine if Lenovo knew how to make proper software for it, but they don't. As a result the original software v1.0 makes the monitor flicker uncontrollably whenever it feels like it. And when you upgrade to the only other software that exists LA3.4 it makes the flickering goes away and replaces it with a "monitor is shutting down" message that shuts your monitor down every 4 hours. DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR!

Had an issue with the HDMI port not working with my Windows 11, Lenovo Legion Laptop. When going into full screen mode on a game the screen would just be black. But I switched to use a DisplayPort to USB-C cable for connecting to the laptop and it works fine. Just something to be aware of if you only have an HDMI port available on your PC.

The only thing that was annoying was the lack of communication on when my monitor would ship. Once it did ship, however, I received the monitor quickly.

It has a few issues, like the fact that the 1ms pixel response time setting is a little blurry, and it randomly blacks out for a few seconds very unfrequently. However the 1080p resolution looks very crisp. Despite some reviews to the contrary the Y25-25 does support G-SYNC (just make sure Freesync is enabled in the monitor's settings), and the 240hz looks and feel amazing. Construction is a 4/5 for me, with a very good stand. Overall, this is one of the best monitors for esports in this price range.

Same panel as the 280hz tuf monitor, except you can’t OC. And the stats from the 280 panel you wouldn’t even run at that clock. You’d actually hurt your performance at that frequency versus the 1ms 240. Regardless, THIS monitor is outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This shouldnt be this cheap tbh. Being part of the lenovo community and having to speak to people who have had this product, I havent ran into any issue with it what so ever. It is exactly what it says it is. It does not come with a hdmi, so if you do have a laptop, like I do, I highly suggest you buy a mini display port adapter (which is as well not included and or a hdmi cable. Rather than that. it is amazing and snappy. If anyone has a question about this product that is wanting to buy it, please do leave a response. One more thing. it may say freesync on the box, but it still will work with gsync. just turn on freesync on the monitor, and you will see the g sync option on your nvidia control panel.

The monitor works exactly as I expected it, menuing is clean and easy and the quality is top notch as the monitor comes with a stand that can be adjusted according to the viewer. Would recommend for someone who wants a 240hz monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Monitor! Exactly what I was looking for. I had a 27" VA panel 144hz monitor before upgrading to this guy. It was SUPER pixely and had awfu; screen door effect that drove me crazy. I didn't want to go 1440p, because I really wanted a higher refresh rate IPS and didn't want to spend the $200+ premium for all 3. Let's just say I was MORE than impressed when I turned this thing on. I was shocked most by how sharp it looks compared to my 27". Idk what it is, but I can read text just fine without noticing stepping and everything is super sharp, even in motion (which was NOT the case on my VA 144hz monitor). Turning the Over Drive mode to Fastest introduces pretty heavy overshoot, making the star field on ufotest look like it's glowing, but on normal it responds and looks perfect. The build quality is incredible. To get a tilt, swivel, and height adjust stand included in a $300 IPS 240Hz monitor is above and beyond. The blue on the stand looks freaking sick and my only complaint is that it's only on the bottom, and barely visible through the holes in the legs. The stand is super high quality, took about 15 seconds to install (don't even need a screw driver), and the built in cable management hole, headphone rest, audio passthrough, and USB ports are all major bonuses at this price point that I'm SO grateful for. This thing checked every box for me and more. I didn't think I wanted/needed borderless around the top 3 edges, but it looks awesome. The OSD controls could be improved. It's just a kind of crazy to me that all companies haven't moved on to the thumbstick-type OSD controls. But they work fine as they are. The auto game mode selection is cool, and you can customize them, which is also nice. The black boost for gaming is basically just a backlight booster, but it works well enough, just isn't as robust as black boosts from other manufacturers. It basically just brightens the whole image across the board, not just black levels. OH! It has HDR, and it looks great (imo). I don't use it all the time because it drops the response time of other monitors with the same panel (though I haven't seen this tested, and can't feel a difference, I'd rather be safe xD). But I do run it in 10 bit color mode at 240Hz and it runs great. Also, I was able to overclock it to 249Hz, if you care to know (I thought maybe since the ASUS gets up to 280 I might have a chance at getting close, I did not). Overall I'm very impressed. This monitor is incredible value for what it costs. The MSI MAG251, ASUS VG259QM, Acer XB253Q, and Alienware AW2521HF all have the same panel, though it has been tuned differently. Also, I know I nit picked at it, but it's so good, for me to only have a few minor complaints is amazing. Again. $300. How is it so cheap!? I'm very impressed with the overall design (it definitely looks the best out of all monitors with this panel), and will be looking at Lenovo when I finally decide to go 240hz 1440p. Put one out, PLEASE don't stop making fantastic monitors. This is my new go-to company when it comes to monitors.

You’ll need to tweak the settings a bit to get the best contrast for optimal gaming. The blue light filter mode helps a ton, as well. I’d highly recommend monitor to anyone looking for that extra edge online or searching to enhance their gaming immersion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mostly Satisfied If you really want 240hz this is great for the money, but I guess you get what you pay for, because mine came with two dead pixels and one stuck pixel. There is also a bit of ghosting, one time it got REALLY bad for some unknown reason, lasted about 15 minutes, but it hasn't happened again. If I did not have these two issues, it would be an easy 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Something is wrong with the panel. I bought this monitor twice and both times, they had the same issues: random flickering, vertical lines, and temporary burn-in. I also tried swapping out cables to no avail. I had to return both of these simply because these issues were awful. Aside from that, the monitor had beautiful vibrant colors and a well-configured menu display. I definitely would recommend this monitor if you could get one without the aforementioned issues.

Only issue I had out the box was the screen flickering every 5-10 seconds. Don't know how to fix it and support is very difficult. Also Lenovo software couldn't detect my monitor. 240hz feels amazing and smooth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 240hz IPS w/ 350nit & G-Sync Compatible! Wanted to wait a month or so before reviewing, so here we go. For perspective, I'm using this paired with a Legion 5i 10750h 1660ti. The laptop has an HDMI 2.0 output, as well as Displayport via USB C alt-mode. TLDR: All of the features work. It's the perfect size for gaming, unless you have room for something bigger (which I don't. I couldn't find anything close to this for the price. This is a solid buy. Pretty much all other high refresh rate gaming monitors use (in my view) inferior TN or similar panels. With this one, you get the great viewing angles of an IPS display, up to 240hz, and what seems like a solid response rate (I don't have the tools to measure but it seems to be very low ms response time). Using a DP cable (or in my case a USB C to DP via Alt Mode) you can take advantage of all the features including VRR (GSync/Freesync) and HDR. I did have one instance where the picture was kind of grayed out coming back from sleep that I believe was from the HDR but that could have been Windows or the cable. Only happened the once, but I have HDR turned off now as the brightness of this screen isn't quite bright enough for GOOD HDR usage if that makes sense? It's a great screen, but I think you need a few 100 more nits of brightness to truly have a solid HDR experience. Using an HDMI 2.0 Cable I was able to utilize 240hz and HDR, but not VRR. It has a 4 port USB hub, which works, but I couldn't use my keyboard to wake the laptop as once the hub goes to sleep its gone. This also meant the backup drive I had plugged in would do a full re-connect every time I woke the computer up. May not be an issue with a desktop, but for my use case it meant I'm not really using the built in hub. One slight annoying thing is I can't get the on screen crosshairs to work. There's companion software for this Monitor that installs via Windows Store, and you can select the crosshairs, but they've never come on. This software is nice because you can actually adjust brightness and refresh rate with one click rather than going through the more cumbersome windows menus or manually flicking through the settings on the monitor itself.

But i do think that the black boost could be better, Veil watching movies on this monitor looks great, and the 240hz and 1ms respons time is super awesome, the BenQ Zowie monitors Black EQ option works much much better than on this monitor, the black boost is not really all that helpful/worth using. And personally i have not yet found a good balance between the color/brightness balance when playing games like Apex Legends. Idk might just be me not yet used to an IPS monitor( since i have been used to TN panels) And black boost as mentioned isn't really doing a great job. Also would love to have and option like a sharpen filter, like i got on my BenQ monitor.

This monitor is bigger than I imagined it to be and I like that the base can turn vertically. I am using it along with my Lenovo Legion Laptop. The only thing I struggled with is that I need to be calibrating the color of the display every time I connect it to my laptop and it took me a while to know what was going on with the monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Y25-25 is a 20/25 The refresh rate is as advertised. It works well right out of the box with an easy assembly. The color of the monitor isn't the most accurate out there, but with some adjustments, it is totally acceptable.
