I have a ThinkPad T14 and never had any issues with the nipple. on the other hand the display hinge, yes. Negative: Kind of weird that it had to be delivered form HK and I needed to drive to a far UPS facility to pick it up.

The first time, I ordered the wrong version, had to wait for shipment from China, and then discovered that there was another version which was needed for my wife's X1. Once the first order arrived we discovered that they didn't fit. We ordered the second (different) set and those work fine. Please provide a chart that shows which ThinkPads are compatible with which version. Note that picture above (provided by Lenovo) shows the first (wrong) set of caps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked well for my hardware These were actually cheaper at Lenovo's website than I could find elsewhere and fit perfectly on my: ThinkPad Wired USB Keyboard with TrackPoint (Model KU-1255, Fru P/N: 03X8715, Part number: 0B47190 - from back of keyboard), ThinkPad Compact Bluetooth Keyboard with TrackPoint (Model KT-1255, Fru P/N: 03X8697 - from back of keyboard), an old ThinkPad W510 laptop. It also worked on my ThinkPad X220 laptop, but I had to move the insert from the older trackpoint cap when updating.

Hence, I could not find information about what trackpoint caps to buy for my keyboard. And I ended up with caps that have too low a profile, which means that using the trackpoint interferes with the surrounding keys. Since Lenovo no longer provides replacement caps that fit my external keyboard (a USB keyboard I bought five years ago, which is otherwise quite functional, I may have no recourse but to purchase a new keyboard rather than fix the problem with a one-dollar cap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as it should be, but shipping is slow. Nothing better than buying the original emplacements from the original manufacturer. Fits like it should, is made like it should be made. I will add though, the shipping time was atrocious. I may be spoiled by amazon prime, but it seemed like it took about ten business days for this to come in or more. Other than that, they are perfect. Just make sure you need these and not the lower profile ones. I used them on my T440s and just for fun, use one from the pack for my old 380z Win98 DOS thinkpad which it also worked perfectly on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lenovo Thinkpad TrackPoint Caps My original trackpoint cap for my Thinkpad T570 wasn't exactly brand new after two years of use and so I decided to purchase a whole bunch of these. I'm sure glad I did. These trackpoints are slightly smaller, which is a great thing because the other one took up too much space and difficult to maneuver. These smaller versions allow for me to easily move the cursor quickly. If they ever get dirty quickly again, I have a whole bunch more to choose from or if I choose to purchase a different Thinkpad, I'm ready to replace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serves Its Purpose Well It's a good TrackPoint. It serves its purpose well. I'm able to move my mouse cursor around comfortably and effortlessly thanks to the nubs. It sticks well, and doesn't do anything to fall off unlike the last one I had. The only problem I had was the lack of detail regarding the size.
