The IBM Optical 3-Button Travel Wheel Mouse PS/2 and USB is a compact, lightweight, three-button mouse. Optical technology provides precision control, and no mouse pad is needed. Its small size and cable wrap make it ideal for the mobile professional. This three-button mouse is available in Stealth Black and comes standard with a PS/2 and USB connector. As a USB device, the mobile mouse can be connected to any enabled USB port.

And just saying, I use a Mac, and it sometimes works great and sometimes doesn't show up. A must use for all laptop users. It even works on a Mac.

I'll have to wait to see if this version's coating does the same. Otherwise, the ThinkPad USB Travel Mouse works well enough and doesn't take up much space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from left button died after 2 years overall fine mouse - works on almost any surface, that I tried, good size even for my big hands, lightweight, nice soft to the touch finish, love included Velcro-strap for managing cables and ThinkPad logo, BUT it's my first mouse (after ~2003 that has died (left button died - randomly works good - registers 1click, other time registers double click or registers no click at all). I thought nowadays mice don't brake (and I owned and used hard many of them - Logitech, A4Tech, Mitsumi, HP (rebranded Logitech), Hama, Microsoft)...

The new mouse no longer have the plastic coating which cracks and exfoliate after long term use especially when your hands have been exposed to medicine which contains alcohol or menthol or medicinal oil. Good job Lenovo for making the mouse more durable and aesthetically looking in the long run.

I have used it on 3 models of ThinkPads: T530, Helix, and T470s. The scroll wheel is almost silent. The buttons make no more noise than my other wired mice. For anyone ordering, please note the measurements. It is tiny. I have small hands, so for me it is comfortable and easy to use. So far, I am enjoying the 31P7410 wired travel mouse. As I continue to work with the mouse I'll post an updated review if anything changes.

This is a teeny little mouse that is good for travel when you are bogged down with the usual assortment of cords, batteries, etc. It works fine, but unless you have small hands, is less likely to be one for every day use than a slightly bigger mouse. But if you're like me and you prefer using a mouse to the trackpad or pointy stick, it's nice to have as an option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Uncomfortably Small I ordered this mouse as an accessory for my Yoga 6 Laptop. I thought it would be a standard mouse adjusted for travelling. I now learnt for future online buys to also look at the size chart. Although you would think the smaller the travel mouse the better but in this case it has gotten too small. I do not have very big hands yet I cannot rest my palm on the mouse. I have to hold it with my fingers only. Not recommendable for bigger hands. Almost feels like a kids mouse. The cable on the other hand is way too long for the distance to your laptop. Otherwise the mouse does its job.
