Even when using the exact same settings the colors are different. Also, one of the power buttons sticks so you have to wiggle it around to get it to pop out and turn on. The monitors themselves are quite nice when not sitting next to each other.

I bought this monitor because i thought it would be compatible with the Lenovo system. it simply doesn't consistently work. Plug it together and sometimes the monitor is balck (no picture) and other times it comes on, but the inconsistency makes it useless. i am very disappointed.

It is just as good, if not better, than monitors from other brands costing up to twice as much. I have had ThinkVision monitors in the past and have never had a problem with them. The colors are bright and vibrant, the pixel density at 27" is great, and it's easy to adjust the brightness or change color modes. The VESA mount is very convenient, so I have two of them on a mount. Perfect compliment to my M1 Mac mini.

I can't even count how many pointless hours I've spent trying to make this thing work, versus actually getting any work done. I am so severely disappointed.

And they know this issue but they have no solution and still sell it. I am using Lenovo thinkbook and thought it will be super easy but giving nightmares. On top of this it doesn't connect easily. Also picture goes on and off sometimes. And the ergonomic height is just 110mm adjustable that's useless feature for that minimal height. And it wobbles a lot.

Also wish it had the audio headphone jack on the bottom not side. It does tend to wobble too. The stand and base could be sturdier. But depending on your setup you may not notice this at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good monitor, but mac comparability issues. I think if you are a PC user this would be a 4-5 star review, but... My 2015 MacBook pro powers our matching Think Vision 2k version of this monitor at 60hz no problem, however, this new 4k version of the same monitor will only refresh at 30hz, even at the lower 2k resolution setting. I called Lenovo and they actually sent me a replacement monitor... but that did not fix the problem. There is apparently some kind of incompatibility with the Mac drivers and the monitor does not realize that a lower screen resolution has been selected (even when it is displaying that lower resolution) and therefore won't change the hz. It's ashame because I like the monitor in all other aspects and I have had an excellent experience with Lenovo customer service.

It's a huge upgrade from my previous FHD monitor setup that my company provided to me. I love that there's a single USB C cable that connects flawlessly between my work PC and personal MacBook Air M1. The colors are accurate and resolution is top notch. It's super easy to set up and so far I have no complaints. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from terms of performance if this is just my work laptop (Thinkpad W541) or the monitor but I have mini-displayport on my laptop and VGA port. I connected mini-displayport to HDMI at the monitor and could only get 1920x1080 no matter what I tried. I switched to a mini-displayport to displayport cable and instantly got 4k (25601600) resolution. Like I said, not sure if that was HDMI limit on the monitor side or limit of HDMI from the laptop.I did not have ability to try the USB-C to UCB-C cable, my Alienware laptop has UCB-C port but its not for external displays and even said so when I tried to plug in the UCB-C cable. Be aware the montior only came with a HDMI-to-HDMI cable and USB-C-to-USB-C cable. If you need something else make sure to get it before the monitor arrives

The monitor randomly looses signal and the screen becomes black. This shouldn’t be happening. I’d understand if this was a non lenovo dock and or monitor, but products from the same company should not have these compatibility issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good bang for your buck It's been almost three weeks since I received and installed the monitor on two separate computers (PC and Macbook Air) and also tried it out using my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S10. So far both my wife and I have welcomed the big upgrade both in size and in tech from a much smaller and older monitor. Some of the things that stand out most: Positive: * Clear sharp picture * HDMI & USB Type-C cables included * Very simple to assemble without the need for any tools * Price given some of the features (connectivity, 4k, IPS, etc) Negatitves: * The USB hub on the monitor only functions when connecting it via USB C (in this case my phone). I have tried plugging in thumb drives and accessories to it while the monitor is used via hdmi and displayport, and the devices are not recognized. Just to be clear, all said devices work when plugged directly to the PC/Mac, and are also recognized and function when plugged to the monitor's USB hub, WHEN THE MONITOR IS USED VIA USB Type-C. That should be made clear on all marketing materials for transparency purposes and to save people the unnecessary trouble of figuring it out on their own. * Use of the controls on the screen is counter-intuitive. I read about this prior to purchase though, but thought it wouldn't be an issue. Be prepared to go go in loops while trying to chase settings, even if you will most likely set-it-and-forget-it as is usually the case with that. * No software to switch user settings as with some LG models that I was considering prior to purchasing this one. Lastly, while using a perfectly operating set of speakers via the 3.5mm headphone out on the back of the monitor, we have noticed in various instances that music played from youtube, pandora and amazon prime has panned from one side to the other and then returns to both speakers. This has happened while using both computers so I don't think it's either of them, but I haven't spent enough time trying to figure that out to say it is definitely the monitor. LENOVO, PLEASE REACH OUT AND HELP RESOLVE THIS IF IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE. Overall, my wife and I are pretty content with the monitor, and are hopeful that it lasts as long as our Dell, which by the way is still going strong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor / price, but read the fine print This desktop monitor provides an exceptionally good image at a great price. I use it for work, which means reviewing detailed design documents, AutoCAD, spreadsheets, emails, etc. However, there are a few things I wish I had considered before purchasing. For one, the bezels are very slim, but not as much as appears in the Lenovo product photos. The active screen area does not go all the way to the edges of the frame. It's still good, but I do think the photos are misleading. Secondly, the USB-C connector for single cable video/charging does not always provide 75W as stated in the product specs. If you look carefully, there is small print that states that you only get 75W if the screen is at or below 60% brightness. I also find this is true if you turn on "Dynamic" brightness mode. You only get 65W, which is not quite enough to keep my 2018 MacBook Pro at full charge. However 60% brightness is still pretty bright, and I don't have any problem with charge at that level, even when running my machine under a heavy load (Parallels, video conferencing, Revit). Lastly, I would recommend not enabling the overdrive setting. I believe it's intended to smooth out motion video, but it creates terrible ghosting when scrolling text.

Some software does not adjust automatically to the difference in resolution of my laptop display and the T27p used as a second monitor. It would be convenient if the scaling feature in the display setup allowed scaling to be monitor and software package dependent.

Both of them are decent ones for daily use, with USB-C, it can be a dock for MacBook Pro, this makes it a perfect expansion to your MBP. However, I guess the USB downstream ports may only work on USB2.0 mode, because it's not a thunderbolt 3. It supports USB 3.1 Gen2 only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A high-value upgrade I needed an upgrade from my Dell 1440x900 external monitor, and was looking for a high-res 27" for work that was text-heavy (documents, electronic medical record) but also presentations. It had to be able to pivot. I also wanted a monitor that would complement my Legion Y740 17" laptop. When this one showed-up, it gave me the best value-for-features. It looks huge next to my old Dell 19" 1440x900 but is around the same weight! Comparing build quality, the older Dell from several generations ago feels WAY sturdier, but that is not to say that this Lenovo monitor feels flimsy. It's just -- easier to move around with adjustable height, tilt & pivot. The base sits solidly on my desk. The screen quality is amazing and easy on the eye. Maximum brightness is actually too bright for me, so I keep it around 80% and can work comfortably. I use HDMI, but did test USB C for video and it worked fine. It's PnP but worked optimally with the driver download. When I need to pack it away, it's easy to pop it into portrait mode and put it on a shelf. Criticisms - 1. The supplied paper setup manual was pretty skimpy (IMHO it should have more information than IKEA flatpack instructions). 2. Lenovo could make finding the driver a little easier, especially when it's connected to another Lenovo device. 3.The position of the power & ports means you need to have more than a little slack when pivoting from landscape to portrait.

The clarity and brightness are great and I really appreciate how the USB-C connection allows me to charge my laptop with a single connection. Also, it was delivered the next day! If I had more space I would order another one.

A single monitor is worth the space at 27" but the pair looks and makes working seamless. Can connected both to my Macbook Pro laptop deliver power all with just a USB-C connection for each monitor. No issue with resolution and enough space to keep 2 webpages side by side as you go throughout your day. Ability to have power USB port for additional devices is huge and that it all just worked out of the box. VESA mountable and they worked without issue on my sit stand desk.

Easy set up, but may require restart of computer after connected to cable to recognize monitor. The colors are also good. Overall, excellent value for the quality; a fraction of the price of other USB-C capable monitors.

Overall this is a great monitor for the price. I was able to get 5% off by searching coupons with the Honey app and paid just above $500. I looked at monitors by HP, Dell, LG (quality manufacturers in my book) and this was the cheapest 4K 27inch with the best feature set (# of USB ports and display characteristics).

Because of its high resolution and vivid display it makes it easy to work with multiple windows. And the great color representation makes photo editing easy. It is easy to set up and adjust. My only minor complaints are that unless you use a USB-C connection you can not use the USB ports on the monitor - it would be nice to be able to use input from a USB-A connection to allow the use of the monitor USB ports at the same time that you use a HDMI or DisplayPort video connection. And, for unclear reasons sometimes the audio port does not work - a windows issues but nethertheless annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Among the best in this price range. I still have issues with the monitor which I have not been able to resolve through LENOVO support, e.g. refresh rate of only 29 Hz. There were other small issues, such as problem registering it. Pros: The quality of the picture is great for the price (hence 4 not 3 stars). Also - extremely easy to assemble and start. Loved the 90° rotation option - this was one of my requirements. As well as the ability to move up and down - I am amazed how limited some other monirtors are. Cons: The button control on the menu - quite poorly designed and labeled. The stability of the whole monitor could also be improved, though for now is mainly a nuisance, not a serious problem.

My only complaint is - and I’m not sure whether this is an issue with the computer or the monitor - that when both monitors are plugged in via usb c, they are extremely, unusably laggy. If not for that, I would give these monitors 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great work monitor I really like the monitor. I use it for work, nothing video or graphics heavy, no gaming. Setup was easy. One cable to the wall, one to my MacBook Pro. No need for dongles. Picture is clear and colors look nice. View angle is great. The stand is very adjustable and tall enough for me. Two slight annoyances so far, to adjust brightness you need to put it in "custom" mode and the stand is a tiny bit wobbly. But I really don't think you could do better for the price.

Again, non of the buttons on the monitor work bringing up the on screen display. Sent two emails about this to customer service with zero response over the last 2 weeks. Want to send this back and get my money back

It works well with my MacBook pro, allowing it to charge and to display in 4k at 60fps while also acting as a USB hub. The easy VESA mount and quality stand are also a good feature. This was worth every cent, and I would definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made equipment This a solid and substantial piece of equipment. It doesn’t flex at all when you raise, lower, or tilt it. It is bright and sharp. I am a software engineer, and I am VERY picky about monitors. I can’t speak to the color accuracy, but for writing code, it is the best I have ever seen. Well worth the price. The USB-C interface works perfectly, powering my Thinkpad and getting the video signal at the same time. Very happy with this purchase.

The USB-C functionality effectively makes it a docking station which makes the price absolutely worth it if you're considering a cheaper monitor and a dock. My only complaint is that the screen physically wobbles while I type since the ergonomic base is fairly loose to allow for all the different movements (tilt, swivel, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor for WFH This monitor is great for working at home. Color is pretty accurate and the brightness is even. I am using a MacBook Pro and I set the scaling to 1440p. It looks like a retina display (no visible pixels). I wish the bottom of the screen is thinner so the overall size of the monitor is smaller. The base is big so it takes more desk space than I like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mac monitor, not so much for my X1 Carbon! Beautiful monitor and it works great with my new M1 MacBook Air, Ironically it does not work well with my 7th gen X1 Carbon. Using the supplied USB type C cable, the X1 loses connection for a few seconds every few minutes, since this cable also provides access to the hub on the monitor, I lose my webcam, audio, keyboard & mouse which makes this unusable (not an issue with Mac - the single cable does it all). Frustrating that I have to use the HDMI port, extra power brick, and so many more cables! One of the reasons I purchased this monitor is the single cable connectivity. FWIW - yes the X1 is updated with the latest firmware and the "Thunderbolt Fix" and I do not experience this issue on my daughters Thinkvision P24h monitor.

In fact it seems to be draining the battery of the laptop faster. You will still need to use your charging cable with your laptop. Tech support confirms that in order to charge the MacBook Pro, you will need to purchase a stronger cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor for the price! I bought 2 and they look great next to each other. I mostly use it for work and streaming netflix so nothing to complain there. If you're a gamer I would suggest something with a better refresh rate. Its been able to handle the games that I played on it so far (Fifa and animal crossing. I hooked my macbook pro with the provided usb-c cables and it looks stunning! The monitors each came with a hdmi and usb-c cable. The one thing I will say is that there is an additional black bezel when you're using the monitor so it doesn't seem as bezel-less as you would initially think. Although, I think this is the norm on most bezel-less monitors and its still thin enough where you wouldn't really notice it. The osd looks a bit outdated, but who really cares. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with the purchase!

Note it only drives at 30HZ 4K because of the limitations of the computer/dock. Brightness is a bit much had to use the nightlight function of W10 to turn down the screen. That’s because I am using in a dim environment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good bang for your buck It's been almost three weeks since I received and installed the monitor on two separate computers (PC and Macbook Air) and also tried it out using my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S10. So far both my wife and I have welcomed the big upgrade both in size and in tech from a much smaller and older monitor. Some of the things that stand out most: Positive: * Clear sharp picture * HDMI & USB Type-C cables included * Very simple to assemble without the need for any tools * Price given some of the features (connectivity, 4k, IPS, etc) Negatitves: * The USB hub on the monitor only functions when connecting it via USB C (in this case my phone). I have tried plugging in thumb drives and accessories to it while the monitor is used via hdmi and displayport, and the devices are not recognized. Just to be clear, all said devices work when plugged directly to the PC/Mac, and are also recognized and function when plugged to the monitor's USB hub, WHEN THE MONITOR IS USED VIA USB Type-C. That should be made clear on all marketing materials for transparency purposes and to save people the unnecessary trouble of figuring it out on their own. * Use of the controls on the screen is counter-intuitive. I read about this prior to purchase though, but thought it wouldn't be an issue. Be prepared to go go in loops while trying to chase settings, even if you will most likely set-it-and-forget-it as is usually the case with that. * No software to switch user settings as with some LG models that I was considering prior to purchasing this one. Lastly, while using a perfectly operating set of speakers via the 3.5mm headphone out on the back of the monitor, we have noticed in various instances that music played from youtube, pandora and amazon prime has panned from one side to the other and then returns to both speakers. This has happened while using both computers so I don't think it's either of them, but I haven't spent enough time trying to figure that out to say it is definitely the monitor. LENOVO, PLEASE REACH OUT AND HELP RESOLVE THIS IF IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE. Overall, my wife and I are pretty content with the monitor, and are hopeful that it lasts as long as our Dell, which by the way is still going strong.

It's also equipped with a USB hub which I use it to connect all the accessories and hide them at the back of the monitor. Now my desk has more space. The stand allows lift, pivot and swivel movement. It makes programming a lot easier by rotating the screen portrait.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Capable, but DP Does Not Work The display is of excellent quality if you can get it to work correctly with the computer. The HDMI port only semi works with my Lenovo P2. To be fair I am using Linux, but since Lenovo now supports Linux, I would expect a simple monitor to work. Other monitors seem to work just fine with Linux. Most importantly, however, the DisplayPort does not work. I have not gotten a single computer (Linux, Windows, or Mac) to work with the DP. This means that I am unable to switch between inputs; therefore, I have to switch the the HDMI cable every time I want to switch machines. Finally, even if the DP did work, according to numerous others on the internet, you cannot get the input to switch while in PowerSaving mode. This basically means that you cannot switch the monitors unless both machines are on, which is pointless. What a pain! A monitor should just work. It is not a complicating piece of technology. My Dell, Acer, and Asus monitors all just work...why doesn't this one? I even bought numerous Lenovo DP adapters to attempt to get it to work. More money given to Lenovo all for technology that does not even work. I feel like I have been conned.
