Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good printer This printer was purchased for home use. The printer was very easy to set up. Performs well and the printers quality printing, copies, emailing or scanning is perfect. The only reason I gave this 4 starts is its interface with scanning to a computer. This has to be set up utilizing a different program on your computer and is quite cumbersome. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Laser printer for Home Use purchased this laser printer (reasonably priced so i could print papers and still use highlight markers without smearing the ink! Plus HP i had (Inkjet) was a pig on ink and refills too expensive!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive Printer with Defective-Paper Tray 8 1/2 x 11 paper tray was TOO SMALL for 8 1/2 v 11 paper! I returned it to Dell immediately. Still haven't heard whether or not they received it. I NEVER had a bad Lexmark printer-until now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable machine, easy setup "I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion." That's an FTC requirement but I don't think it conveys what it really means. I answered a generic survey about my typical printer usage (weekly, mostly documents not pictures, need for scan & print, etc.) without knowing why the questions mattered to anyone nor who was interested in my answers, and I was selected to receive and test a printer. The highlights are ease of use and more importantly RELIABILITY. This Lexmark showed up, and let me tell you I was skeptical based on prior experience with the company, but I'm happy I get to keep this little machine. PROs: It prints FAST, it maintains connection with Google Cloud Print, and the Lexmark Print Plugin works flawlessly when I'm on the same network connection as the printer. These are true even when the printer sleeps or hibernates! CONs: I wish the feed tray was large enough to hold an entire ream of paper (holds about 1/2) and I wish it came with paper instructions (there are screen prompts but they're not fully refined). PRINT QUALITY: This is a B&W laser printer so you get fast printing with no dry time (toner not ink) and crystal clear text. Images are a bit grainy regardless of original resolution and it produces faint stripes noticeable in lighter tones but you really shouldn't be considering a B&W laser printer for pictures so I'm not upset about this. INTERFACE: I'm pleased with the responsiveness of the touchscreen. Even though it's a tad small the menu is easy to understand and navigate. I really like the level of customization available with the ability to lock your settings. This would serve a small business EXTREMELY well. In function and capability it seems to mirror thr massive floor standing all-in-one types I've used in large corporate offices, but in the more manageable footprint of a personal printer. UNTESTED: I haven't had to deal with jams (hooray!) or replacing the toner/drum/etc. yet. I have no use for faxing so that's not been set up. I haven't connected SMTP for scanning to email but the setup looks pretty straightforward and I look forward to scanning to email. I haven't used any special size paper or envelopes.

I was in need of an additional printer for my home office and this printer fits the bill. The unpacking of the printer was quite the process and actually the most difficult part of the whole set up. I knew this would be a bit of a process when I first opened the box and found instructions to actually unpack the printer. When I began to look over the instructions for unpacking, these instructions were only in picture format so I had to somewhat guess what I was supposed to do. I do wish there had been written instructions along with the pictures so that I could better understand what I needed to do to remove all the packaging properly without damaging the machine. This is where patience is important. I was very excited to get this printer set up for use, but was a bit concerned this may be difficult since the unpacking was a bit of a challenge. I looked for some sort of written instructions again, but found only a software disc to use for set up. My computer did not have a disc drive, so I found myself once again trying to just figure out what I needed to do since there were not written instructions. Fortunately, I found on one of the papers in the box where they listed both a website and a QR code to use. I opted to go online and was able to easily get the process started. Once I did I discovered that most of the set up is actually done right on the printer screen. Once I got started, it went very quickly and smoothly. I have since printed several projects and am so impressed with how quickly and quietly it prints! The quality of print is excellent as well. I set up the fax function and I have only used it a couple of times and it has worked wonderfully. This printer is quiet with many easy-to-use functions. Once you get past the unpacking, the set up and use is super simple. I am thrilled with how easy all the functions are to use. I definitely would recommend this piece of office equipment to anyone needing a small but mighty multi-function desktop printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. My old printer needed to be replaced, and this printer was a major upgrade from what I had! The product arrived quickly and was packaged securely in box with plenty of foam padding surrounding it. I received the box and the printer, intact, with no damage whatsoever. The Quick Start sheet was basically step-by-step instructions with pictures. The pictures were clear and easy to follow. I was a bit skeptical at first about getting this printer started by following pictures and no words, but it was actually rather simple to follow and I actually had no problems getting this up and running. It took me about 30 minutes to get it started. It took me another 30 minutes to finalize the specifics. I did the SetUp on the Printer Panel, not using the Mobile App. Three things that set me back are: 1) when I loaded the Letter size paper and tried to close the drawer, it wouldn`t stay closed and it kept popping back open. There was no manual or booklet to troubleshoot this. I finally figured out that there was a flap in the back of the printer, that opens up so that the extended tray can accommodate larger sized papers. 2) I also had a hard time connecting to the printer initially. I played around with the settings and finally `found` the network settings that I needed to complete installing the printer. 3) I wasn`t sure if I needed to download the Lexmark Print App on my mobile phone. I did anyway, and it actually works seamlessly/well with the printer. Downloading the Lexmark Print App was also quick and easy. The printer functions great. Love the Copy/Scan/Fax/Laser Print features and the double sided printing. Prints come out sharp and crisp. No issues with alignment. The LED panel was clear/crisp and easy to navigate. Keep in mind that this is a Black and White (not a color) printer. For all intents and purposes, Black and White printing is sufficient for my home. I think it would have been helpful to have the website address available for online help, as there was no actual paper manual in the packaging to troubleshoot with. I found the online manual by googling it. I haven`t had this printer long enough to have to replace the toner cartridge yet, so I can`t comment on that. Overall I think this is a very nice, high quality printer that would be a valuable asset in your home or office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds All Expectations! `I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion` I use the Lexmark printer for both business and personal use. It’s performance and reliability make it a great value. From unboxing to completion, the set-up is quick and easy. I was able to connect the printer instantly through my wireless router and start printing in about 15 minutes. Instructions were easy to understand, which was greatly appreciated. What I love best about the Lexmark, is the ability to print up to 6000 pages before having to replace the toner. I was spending hundreds of dollars per year on replacement ink, so this feature is both a great benefit and cost savings to me. And the sheet tray holds 250 sheets- so I’m not constantly having to refill the paper. This may seem like a little thing, but any feature that saves me time is valuable to me. Pages print quickly too- around 36 pages per minute. The print quality is outstanding- text is crisp and clear. My main use is printing, but I also appreciate the ability to copy, fax, and scan as needed. The Lexmark truly is an “all-in-one” machine that is an asset to both business and homes users, providing ease of use along with a quality finished product.

With regard to the setup, I did not find it easy to hook up to WiFi, so I ended up using a cord connection. I found the printing and scanning to be great for a home printer. Would be great for a small business. When putting the paper into the tray, I could not get it to lay flat. It curved up at the area where it grabs the paper to print. This was weird because I could not put a lot of paper in the printer. Prior to this I did not have a home printer for about 5 years, as I just did whatever I needed from work. Definitely better than the slow home printers I had 5 years ago. Fast and efficient. I have a separate scanner I have used and it is nice to have both options in one machine. I did not text out the fax option as I never used fax. Overall, I think if you can get it set up right and only need black/white printing, this is a good machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed, easy to use, after set up. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Overall, the Lexmark MB2236adwe is a quality printer. The functions run smoothly and efficiently. Product set up was a bit of a challenge. The video instruction device on the printer appeared to have a mind of it`s own. I was unable to find a forward and back feature. I expected this action would be performed by the arrows, however, when I pressed them, the screen did not change. I think caution needs to be advised when removing the tape strip from the ink cartridge. It is stuck on there pretty good! I had an issue with pulling out too much of the ink strip while removing the tape. Aside from a couple of set up challenges, I think this is a well made and well designed product. I like the quick crisp photo copies the machine delivers.

It works perfectly and produces clear, crisp, high quality images. It is quick, quiet, and is able to handle the workload of our 5 family members. We use this off and on all day for personal, office, and school projects. I highly recommend this printer. It is a reliable printer with consistent perfect performance. Every function worked flawlessly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for home. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The product came securely packaged and easy to take out of the box, fully assembled. The touch screen instructions made it easy to set up and I absolutely LOVE the little videos that helped me along the way. I can't say the same for the minimal printed instructions that came with the machine. Plus, my computer does not have a CD drive, so I could not use the CD provided to install the software. I didn't want to have to do so much research on how to work around this and wish the printed instructions were clear about alternatives. Either way, once the set up was complete, the machine worked quite well. I like the quality of the copies. The machine itself is just the right size, has a good design, and I like the touch screen. If any improvements could be made, it would be in providing more printed instructions that are clear and understandable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little upgrade! I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Initial setup was somewhat of a breeze to complete, there is really no assembly required other than connecting power cable to printer then connecting to an outlet. Printer came in with a set of simple instructions, a CD, a power cable and the printer itself. I was hoping a usb cable to physically connect printer to desktop would have come in with product but did not; It is not a big deal really as this printer is designed to be used wirelessly but compared to my last printer which did come with one it would of been a nice addition. Instructions for initial setup where simple yet somewhat vague. It took a few minutes to expand and adjust the paper loading tray to fit my standard copy paper, the included instructions did not show how to adjust the loading tray to fit in your choice of printing paper. Once I was ready to power on printer and begin setup on my desktop I rand into some minor issues installing the drivers. I specially with its phone app, I personally was unable to setup via the phone app as the app itself seemed to freeze after going through its user agreement. I also personally had issues manually finding the drives on the Lexmark site, I just could not find a matching model number. Luckily my desktop has a CD drive and I was ultimately able to setup the printer via CD drivers. This printer is nice and fast, I really like the compact size as you can pretty much fit it anywhere and its great for small office setups. I was a little disappointed that its monochrome, I would of really like to have the option to use color when needed. I do not use color too much so a monochrome printer works for the majority of my printing needs. I love the fact that it is a wireless printer so I have the option to print from any device and from anywhere in the world really (given there is an internet connection). Its design is simple, I wish it had a bit more color too it but in this case is plain white. Interface is easy to use, and I really like the small touchscreen. Navigating menus is easy, it appears its setup under a version of android. This printer is an all in one type with scan, copy, print and fax included. I thought that the fax option on it was great even though I do not currently use fax its nice for a future upgrade to my home office setup. Scanning is fast and accurate and so is making black and white copies of any documents needed. Printing from a desktop or any other device is sooth and rather quick, its definitely quicker than my old all in one printer. Overall built quality of the printer is solid, its got some weight to it but not so much that you cant actually lift the thing. Its nice and compact and not too loud when in use. The touchscreen is responsive and I have not had a single paper jam. while the printer is not in use the touchscreen goes into a sleep mode and turns off leaving just the power button with a nice white light on so its not distracting when the lights are dim. My overall impression is that, while the initial setup wasn`t flawless and its not a color printer, its a great little printer to have for someone who runs a small business or even for home use, its got a great small form factor, its fast and quiet and its wireless so less wires to worry about! Definitely a good upgrade as compared to my last printer. I really like the many uses that there are for it and really like the option to setup a fax number for it.
