Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will stop working suddenly Purchased April 2022, stop working September 2022 The monitor will not turn on. It is not a power cord issue. It’s just totally unresponsive. I reached out to LG thinking getting a replacement should be a non issue because it’s under warranty but WRONG. They send you a shipping label and then you are responsible for buying the necessary protective packing to ship it to them. Then it will take 7-10 business days for them to repair. Then they ship it back to you. In order to get a replacement you have to do the above process THREE times before they simply do the right thing and replace a malfunctioning product. My best advice is to avoid avoid avoid.

The color palate has the LG touch—beautiful deep colors with plenty of preset options. Both of my monitors are exactly the same (in the past, I've had dual monitors with some variance). They run smooth, crisp, and clear. And the price (considering it's a 4K monitor) is very reasonable.

The biggest con is where the base attaches does not come off from the monitor. So when on arms, like mine, there's a protrusion at the base of the monitor -- it's not flat. My desk is against the wall, so it doesn't bother me.

A FEW MONTHS LATER, the replacement WON'T TURN ON EITHER!!!! I have to buy another one!!!! FYI, I have two monitors of the same model for a extended display purpose. I switched the power cord, the good one came on fine so IT'S THE MONITOR ITSELF! I'm afraid my 2nd monitor will go through NEXT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent HDR! I bought this in December 2020 and wow it's great. I use it with a new Mac Mini M1. When you turn on the HDR just wow the colors burst and the whole screen gets a blast of best picture quality. I would advice others to buy it as it's just that good!

But for such a price dell didn't even come close and this monitor has really great reviews. I am very happy with this monitor. The back of the monitor is white which I feel would have been better if it was metallic Grey or black but who is looking at the back anyway. So if you get this below 300, just buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Looking, Great Viewing This monitor has a great resolution and color. It's big but not too big. It works well with Macs and Windows PCs. The white color looks good in a setting where the back of the monitor is visible to others. It supports HDMI and DisplayPort so you get some flexibility. It doesn't have USB but I use it with a hub anyway. You can use your headphones with it if you need sound. I'm glad that I got this.

I got it to use w my 2020 MacBook Pro (M1) and was similarly baffled by the absence of directions in the box. My question to LG and other MBP owners is will this perform better using a USBC to Displayport cable (and does anyone have recommendations on who makes a good one) or USBC to HDMI (the way I currently have it set up, using FlePow connector)? Also any advice on settings I should change versus using the factor defaults to optimize the monitor? I use it principally for text and photos. Lastly, I bought from Best Buy and have only had great experiences with them so thought I'd toss that into the mix, given all the negative reviews! Also, my ratings should be considered in light of only having had it a short period of time - will update as time goes by!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable to watch for hours I purchased this monitor almost 6 months ago and all my other monitors are now in storage. The wide screen is like having two monitors. The image is bright and sharp, very crisp. I don't know the refresh rate, but high action movies flow smoothly and remain clear and crisp. I have the new 2020 flight simulator and this monitor has me landing on such real images of airports I fear for my life when I crash. The stand while minimally adjustable seems to have been designed perfectly for a normal table, and the screen does swivel its angle nicely. I have a high-end gaming computer, and this monitor has met all gaming challenges for speed and image quality every time.

I sent it out to repair and they replaced the main board. I received it back and within a few weeks it was doing it again. So it is out for repair again. I usually like LG products and have several in my house. I got a lemon with this monitor.

Later The LG -27LU600-W had problems. I called customer service to ask for an exchange. The person answering the phone said no. Called me later and said I must send the monitor for inspection. Since cost of shipping and being out of monitor was not acceptable I refused.

The seating distance is about 2 feet from me and have worked on it for long hours without any eye strain. The response time and colors are crisp and bright. One of the best monitors I have used. This monitor is also great for gaming as I'm also a streamer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good screen but missing some features Got this monitor for the 4k resolution, it works great, games and movies look good, but it is missing some features, one of the features that it lacks is when you have multiple devices connected to it, it does not detect or automatically switch to the device that is on, for example I got 2 computers connected to it plus a game console, if I used the laptop the day before and the next day I only use the console or the other computer it does not auto switch to the only powered device, I have to manually go and switch them my self on its panel, this is a feature that all other monitors I had bring, been this monitor newer thought this would also have it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good 4k budget monitor I bought this a couple of weeks ago. It works pretty great, but there are a few minor inconveniences: There's only one button for the OSD, which takes some time to get used to. Once you do though, it's pretty OK. It does seem rather flimsy though and my concern is that it will get used and it break rather quickly. It's already rather difficult to get it to work when waking from sleep. Another rather big inconvenience is the fact that the display does not automatically switch between active inputs if one of the inputs becomes inactive. Probably because of that, it also doesn't automatically wake from sleep if the 'inactive' display becomes active, unless it was the last display used. As an example, if you have it connected to a PC and a laptop and have them both on at the same time. Say you are displaying the PC contents and you decide to turn off the PC. It will not automatically switch to the laptop. Instead, it will go to sleep. Similarly, if you shut down the laptop as well, while the PC input is the one you were using, if you shutdown the PC as well, when you start the laptop back up, the monitor will not be brought back from sleep. Instead, you must press the single button on the monitor, wait for it to wake up, then fiddle with the button again and select the proper input. Since there's no 'Input' button, you have to press the single button quite a few times, assuming it's responsive enough, in order to get to tthe desired input. Apart from those inconveniences, I can't say there's much to complain about. Viewing angles are decent, clarity, brightness and colour depth are all good. I haven't noticed any issues with the display during gaming sessions, so can't complain there either.

I also have a few dead pixels. The defect is covered under warranty, but I have to ship the monitor back to LG. Working from home during COVID means I cannot be without a monitor for however many weeks. I guess I'll just have to live with the dead pixels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful high-resolution picture... I have had my LG 27UL600-W monitor for several months now, and I love it! I am using it at this very moment as I write this review. I am a gamer, especially with the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, which I use most often. For this I wanted a great high-resolution screen to view the excellent scenery that is presented in the flight simulator. After an extensive search for the best reasonably-priced monitor I came upon this LG monitor at Best Buy. I could not be more pleased! It has the high-resolution 4K screen that I wanted, and has a bright and accurately-colorful display. It works perfectly, and fulfills all of my demanding qualifications for its use as I intended. I highly recommend this LG 27" monitor to anyone wanting a great, all-purpose, high resolution monitor... It is the best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good IPS Screen for the price I purchased a pairs of these screens and while I cannot pick and choose the box (looking for close sequential serial numbers, the 2 monitors match close enough to ignore a tiny color shift. My biggest issue is with a white background, a faint blue patch can be seen on both monitors in the exact same place. Not sure that this is from but its noticeable. The are located top left about 1/3 the way down.

The size is great for most home offices. I use it primarily for work and photo/video editing. The gaming experience is outstanding. The build quality is excellent and the esthetics are right for both gaming and office installations. The price is reasonable and the Black Friday sale price was unbelievable. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Underwhelming panel with a fatal flaw. I purchased this LG 4K IPS monitor for design work and video editing. I put a lot of time into researching the best monitors in this price range and found that this was the best overall panel for the price. There are more expensive LG monitors with the same panel which have more inputs and a nicer stand, but these weren't important to me. However, getting the panel home and plugging it in, I straight away noticed a fatal flaw. Thin lines and text in Windows 10 had a patchy orange/blue glow. The only way I can explain this is to say that where the pixels should have been illuminated white, they were being illuminated blue or orange instead. It's subtle but enough to ruin the monitor for me given the sort of work I needed to do on it. I compared this to two Samsung 1440p PLS panels that I use as well and these didn't have the same issue. Furthermore, the Samsungs had darker blacks (although they are rated for the same contrast ratio and brightness). I tried changing all settings in the panel interface. I also tried changing inputs in the computer, tried a new HDMI cable, re-installed display drivers, changed all display settings in Nvidia control panel, and tried adjusting ClearType settings I ended up returning this for a more expensive Dell 4K monitor which is better in every single way. It doesn't have the same issue rendering thin lines, has darker blacks and better features (albeit at a higher price point). Disappointingly, I had difficulty returning the monitor and had to pay a restocking fee despite the fact that the service technicians at the store could see the same issue I was seeing. They ran tests on the panel and were adament that it wasn't a faulty panel, but that it's just 'how it is'. Have reached out to LG about this but am yet to hear a response (for their benefit not mine, as I've already returned the product).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead pixel on a very nice monitor I bought this monitor 23 days ago, and I saw today that I have a green dot right in the center of the monitor that remains even when cycling through inputs that are not connected eg HDMI2 and DisplayPort, which I interpret as a pixel stuck on green and cannot switch to blue or red or turn off. You can see the green dot in the photo. Power cycling the monitor, changing settings or inputs doesn’t change the fact that there is a green dot permanently in the center of this otherwise nice monitor. Though I have enjoyed it for the last 23 days, I am now out of BestBuy’s 15-day return policy and I must figure out how to get LG to repair it. It probably does not make sense to buy electronics from BestBuy or anyone who doesn’t have a replacement policy for equipment that becomes defective inside of a month. Will not buy electronics from BestBuy ever again. And probably will not buy a LG monitor again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super sharp images! I bought two of these monitors a couple of weeks ago to upgrade and replace a pair of 10-year old, Dell 24" 1920x1200 monitors. I'm doing photo and video editing in 4K these days and the older monitors weren't cutting it. These new LG monitors are really nice! Bright, clean and sharp. They color calibrated perfectly using SpyderX and they perfectly match each other. I have another photo enthusiast friend coming over next week to check them out as he wanted to upgrade to 4K monitors too. Since he's already an LG OLED TV owner, I expect he'll love these too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing gaming. I bought this product back in november of 2019, so i've had it for a long time and the quality is so high-end for something at this price. I have managed to convince 2 of my friends to get this product as we all have a hobby for gaming and realised that this product is just meant for us and LG definitely is not slacking. Im telling you, Please buy this product if you are looking for something 4K HDR at this price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real beauty Most annoyed to find my old monitor was obsolete for my new Mac mini computer. The LG is an upgrade I wasn't planning on making but very glad it has found a home in my system. Everything about it is an upgrade, the larger viewing screen, the crispness of the video, setup was easy, the base seems very stable, etc. etc. Hated spending more but glad I have it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for PC Gaming Bought this beginning of the year and couldn't be happier. Perfect for gaming especially League. Monitor has tons of built in features and 3 HDMI ports. The monitor auto detects and auto shuts off so it's basically hands free. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good for an inexpensive unit. Not as good as my 5k LG, sold at Apple stores, but about a third the price. Wish it would get a little brighter but mostly wish the power cord was 18" longer, barely makes it from the desktop to the ground.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Annoying error message displays every time Every time the monitor turns on, I get this annoying error message that I need to use the cables that came with the monitor, even though I am. When I contact warranty support, they want me to ship the monitor to them. They say that is the only way to update the firmware. Aside from this the monitor is fine, but disappointing that they don't have a way to fix this without me sending it in.

I've been spending more time working from home, and my old 1080P monitor had a bit of "fuzziness" that was giving me pretty severe eyestrain. I went shopping for a 4K monitor at a local retailer, and the LG screened jumped out at me from the wall of displays. After setting it up at home, I was amazed by the dramatic increase in clarity and contrast compared to my previous monitor. I've been using it for about a month, and have noticed much less eyestrain, even after a full day at the monitor.The color range and contrast on this monitor is phenomenal (IMHO). I spent an hour downloading 4K images, and was blown away by how punchy, but still natural the colors were (using default monitor settings). I hooked up a 4k firestick to the second HDMI port, and am using it to view 4K movies, as well as its duties as a work-from-home monitor. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase, and can easily recommend it to anybody that needs an affordable 4k work monitor that doesn't slack on image quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality and Compatability I bought this monitor to replace a 4K UHD monitor that wasn't built very well. This LG monitor is the same size and has similar specifications, but it is SOOO much better in every way! The colors are more precise, the games don't blur, movies and pictures are beautiful. The design of this monitor is solid compared to my other one, the stand fits tight and doesn't let the monitor wobble, the bezel is clean and sharp-looking... I did a good bit of research into display technologies and various manufacturers to figure out the all-around best display for what I do, and LG is where it's at! They apparently lead the way in display technology, and I've got an LG 4K UHD TV that I bought around 8 years ago that still works as perfectly as the day I got it. I can only reason that this new monitor will last too. It is connected to several different devices and performs wonderfully on all of them. No time-consuming installation required. I just plugged it in to the devices and it did what I bought it for. It's got LG's easy-to-use UI, too, so I have complete control of all the settings... I could keep going on and on about how awesome this monitor is, but I'm about to get in on some serious 4K HDR gaming action!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice 4K pc monitor Great monitor for pc gaming, refresh rate is great for games. The colors pop and the size at 27" is perfect. Multiple rear inputs is great, I mounted this to a old adjustable vesa stand which I really like. Even though I dont see much of it, tge rear white panel on the monitor is a nice change, vs the usual black. You definitely want a higher end graphics card to run games at 4K. All in all a great monitor at a fairly reasonable price rang.

I did a lot of research on monitors because the primary purpose for getting a monitor was to assist in editing photographs using Lightroom and Photoshop. I wanted to stay under $300.00, but with technology changing so fast and because of the purpose I wanted a monitor, I moved up my goal and got a 4K unit. The colours are crisp. Even after I re-calibrated the monitor - which is what photographers do to match the colours that will be seen on other platforms and printed. Aside from the colour; and this may not be on your list, but it should be; the stand was superior to other monitors in style and stability. Lastly, the unit came with a high speed HDMI cable with Ethernet support. Cheers.

Love the split screen mode.i tryed out samsung 32 not as good of the LG not as sharp. LG this computer monitor. Is well worth money. U can not ask for a better pic quality. Work great with gaming.i am still in shock and awe very impressed with it thank u LG for awesomeness monitor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing picture, but mouse/controller lag issue Bought this monitor for a new pc i had built. Picture looks amazing but the mouse is dragging. Went to play a game and had the same issue with controller and mouse in game. I bought a better hdmi cable, but directions said use the provided cable, so i removed the better hdmi for the one LG provides but that didn’t fix it. I tried different hdmi ports, cords, checked all setting and googled every video and article for similar issues and still no fix. Not sure what to do as trying to return this will be a nightmare in this pandemic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful color and sharpness I mostly use my laptop for photo editing in Lightroom and Photoshop. It’s difficult to do on a small screen laptop. Finally I researched the cost and advantages of laptops that work with MacBook Pro 15”. What a difference! Now, even without calibrating the screen, I see a brilliant image that closely matches my prints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture but.... I really enjoy the clarity of this monitor. I am using it mainly for an X Box One X monitor. My one factor for not giving 5 stars is that everytime I start up, whether from sleep mode or completly powered off, I have to unplug the hdmi cable that was supplied and then plug it back in to cure the "split" screen. I'm not sure if its a bad cable or what but the left side of the screen is about a 1/4" higher than the right side. Once I do the plug shuffle everything is a okay!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monitor Stand Snaps After 3-4 years, my monitor just snapped from the back piece of the stand. For the last month I noticed my monitor began tilting forward but I did not think anything of it until out of nowhere, the monitor completely came off the stand. I did not realize the warranty was only for a year with its products with LG. Quite disappointed after having used this monitor for so long while enjoying it up until now.
