Rated 5 out of 5 by from The stand makes the monitor tilt downward I bought this from Best Buy on September 2nd and would like to return it because it's past the return period. Since the base makes the monitor point downward, I bought a stand to make it higher. I have progressive lenses on my glasses and find at the end of the day my neck hurts and my eyes hurt from trying to see. No wonder this is discontinued. Customer service at LG told me to mount it on the wall. I would have to completely redo my home office to make that feasible. Thanks LG! Thanks Best Buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for its price point This is a great ultrawide monitor for a great price point. Available from Sam's Club and was on sale at the time I purchased. I purchased as I was working from home during the pendemic and need the extra screen. I normally had 2 extnernal monitors, however do not have the desk space for 2 seperate monitors in my home office setup, this helped me. Monitor case did expericence some melting, due to possible heat issues.

Frustrated with that laptop screen, even paired with extra monitor NOT replicating your dual monitor set up at work? That was me and I wasn't willing to give up or ... in. My solution ... the LG WK500P. I couldn't be more please. As an estimator, I often have multiple programs actively open ... my spreadsheet and pdf reader at a minimum. The crisp, clear ULTRAWIDE screen allows me do this and more, while freeing up the laptop screen for handling my other Home Office duties like joining that inevitable VIRTUAL MEETING. But ... BEWARE, like THEY say, you'll never go back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never worked right, warranty is worthless I bought this right before everything shut down in March 2020, otherwise I would have returned it to OfficeMax (who shut down and wouldn't take returns). The screen flickers frequently with pixelated lines and flickers to a black screen. I've sent it twice for warranty (they keep it for months) and it comes back with the same problem. It's still under warranty I suppose but I've just given up. Complete waste of money. This could be a fantastic monitor as the display is great when it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great screen I bougt the screen 5 month ago and I love the quality of the screen. Reader mode is very confortable ffor a 12-15h daily hours of usage. What's is misssing is auto input seleccition. It's connected to two PC's. A office PC for daily use and a personall PC for night usage. I've to switch manually every day.

I am disappointed that LG did not provide with a VGA (laptop to HMDI (monitor) cable or adapter and provided only a HMDI (laptop) to HMDI cable (monitor) when still lots of latops/PCs have being used have VGA. It is not easy for the non-experts to find proper VGA to HMDI adapter. Also when contacting help service at LG they do not seem to be really interested in helping.

I am using an HDMI to mDP converter by insignia that I have used successfully before with standard monitors. The resolution is stuck to 1080P standard width and I have spent hours trying to figure out how to get the proper resolution. No discussion in LG forums that I have found, no driver that I can download and no explanations suggestions to pursue. I'm now 300EU poorer and on my way to buy a new monitor. I purchased this monitor to increase productivity, ended up wasting a morning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Alternative to a Dual Monitor Setup I was looking at various options for setting up our home office for my wife and I to telework as technical writers and editors. Both of us have dual monitor workstations at work, and we wanted to have the flexibility of dual monitors in our home without the clutter of additional cabling or overcrowding our desk space. The LG 29WK500 turned out to be the right solution for us. The utlra-wide high-resolution display eases eye strain, and allows us to work with multiple windows with ease. The Onscreen Control software and split window options give us a lot of flexibility to configure the display for maximum productivity for any job. We been pleased with the 29WK500 and feel like it's a good value for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 29WK500-P is a step up and almost a home run Overall the display is a good value as an entry level 21:9 monitor. I would have preferred the 32" variant of this monitor but space constraints caused by the stand not allowing monitor to be placed lower than 3 3/4" from my desk I was unable to do so. A height adjustment to allow a min. distance of 2" to allow for air flow would be welcome. The second and most annoying issue is the stupid control joystick and the even worse on screen software setting controls. The software suite is laughable in it's non-functionality and the joystick is touchy as heck and very limited in function as well. A bank of control buttons along the right or bottom edge would be superior. I am sure the engineers were "very excited" to install this annoyance almost as much as engineers loved the stupid laptop pointer button of years past. I do hope the cheaper joystick allowed the LG CEO more money to buy golf balls (Grinning) because I cannot see where this "feature" can be considered a user benefit. Aside from those issues the monitor meets my needs and the display is what I expected for the price point as long as I don't have to change the display settings I'll get by.

What a difference in my day to day routine! the immediate ease of looking onto one monitor, and the added desk space, are very nice. The qulity LG is giving in this particular monitor is outstanding. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture quality! But screen had a dead pixel Good monitor for work and movies. I tried gaming on it and it was great except for the screen tearing. Freesync was enabled and I have an amd rx vega card, so it should have been working correctly. I will still be using this monitor to work and to watch movies occasionally.
