Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good while it last Good while it last but unreliable. Completely died on me only after 2 years of moderate use while being stable on a mounting arm and on a secure power bar. The monitor will not power on or indicate it is receiving any power. Tried different power socket, even tried a different power cable into the transformer but no dice. Can't stress enough that at this price range, a complete hardware failure like this is unacceptable

This LG monitor initially functioned well without any flickering issues, but its sudden and complete failure after just a year of use left me utterly disappointed. Without any warning, the monitor simply stopped working, refusing to POWER on at all. This unexpected failure, occurring well within the expected lifespan of a monitor, leaving me with a sense of frustration and regret. I DO NOT recommend this monitor due to its unreliable and short-lived performance, as it failed to endure even moderate usage without a sudden and unexplained breakdown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Experience and still not resolved! I had to send in my monitor I received as a birthday gift for repair. The repair was actually made pretty quickly. However, when it was returned the power supply was not returned. I have contacted support multiple times and they keep telling me they are going to send one. Almost a month later, I still have not had my power supply returned. Guess it's time to contact BBB.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You deserve better.. I bought this monitor ten months ago thinking it was a good value only to find out about the quality of this product shortly after. I highly suggest you invest a bit more money to get a better lasting product-- save you a lot of stress down the road. Tested both power cable and HDMI, they both work with the same model-- suggesting that it is most likely the monitor itself. Save yourself the trouble of having to contact LG and be redirected everywhere. If that is not enough to convince you, other reviews have longevity problems as well. Hope this saves you some money and time. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It worked pretty good until it died Bought little less than 10 months ago it worked good until one night I went to turn on my pc and and normally when I turn on my pc my monitor turns on but this time it didn’t turn on I tired another power source and another cable and still doesn’t turn on great engineering that went into the development into this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 13 months and it needs a new main board. Exactly 13 months after buying the monitor and it goes black. I take it to the LG recommended repair shop and it needs a new main board at the cost of more then what I bought it for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most disappointing purchase I bought this monitor in 2020, and after 2 1/2 years it just died. The monitor would no longer accept the power to turn on. I did all the troubleshooting with customer service to no avail. I cannot understand what would cause a monitor to just stop working altogether, but it seems many others have had this issue as well. LG customer service was not helpful and wasted about a week of my time before providing me with the correct information about getting it repaired. I stream and use it for work so the week's wait was so inconvenient. Honestly disappointed with a company I really enjoyed prior to this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Died after 2 years My monitor worked great for 2 years when it suddenly just stopped working without any apparent reasons this morning. It is simply impossible to turn it on now as the screen is not responding (no LED and the screen stays black). I tried to troubleshoot, but nothing helped. I was really dissapointed to learn from this review thread that so many people experienced the same failure of their device and that the LG repair center only offered fees that were so high that it wasn't worth it to try and repair the monitor. At this point, this is clearly a manufacturing problem and I'm greatly dissapointed by LG. This definitely tarnished the image that I had of LG and I'll be twice as careful when buying from them in the future. For any potential buyers reading this, I would not recommand this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth buying Features are not that good, bit still amazing the monitor is amazing. True 144hz. Colours are great. If you sit close to monitor then you'll get to see each pixle. If you really want 27inch, go with 2k or 4k. But this is not a problem for me. I'm okay with it. Worth buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor for the price! I bought this monitor at COSTCO, but it has everything I wanted in a monitor. Im running a 1660 Ti and I wasn't looking for anything above 1080p. This monitor has great refresh rate 144hz, 1ms response time, Nvidia G-sync and all for a fraction the cost. Gaming on this monitor is comfortable and immersive. The Monitor looks great, only thing is missing speakers but I use head phones, so that my work around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor, broken after 6 months Bought this monitor 6 months ago and really like it. Great for my PC gaming. Yesterday it stopped working (no power). Tried other power cords and still not turning on. Reached out to LG for support and waiting to hear back. Hoping they can help with replacement or swap for another monitor. This is odd as the quality of LG products is usually great. Have a couple of their TVs and love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good while it last - dead in 2 years Like other reviews, mine died instantly after 2 years of normal use (no transport, just stayed on my desk for 2 years). - LG support and waranty (1 year : LOL) are completly useless - LG repair center offered a repair estimate that is more expensive than a new screen (re-LOL) Clearly not a serious work nor a robust product, not recommended for professional or gamers. This type of repeated issue gives LG a poor reputation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent quality - for 2 years Like many people the monitor just stopped working all of a sudden. No matter how much you troubleshoot the monitor stays dead. It had been stationary for all of these years and with seemingly no explanation the monitor gave out. As for when the monitor was functioning it was decent, apart from the color-scheme being a little dull compared to other cheaper monitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great until it died. Monitor worked great until it didn’t. Vibrant colors, smooth pixel response, etc. I enjoyed it but one day it didn’t turn back on. I tried multiple power supplies, but my multimeter indicated that my original PSU was putting out power, so it was in the monitor. My unit is out of warranty, so there’s no chance of a replacement. $300 monitor, less than 3 years later just kinda worthless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor, bad ghosting At first I Initially thought this monitor was perfect. No issues with a 'dead screen' as mentioned by others, just generally great. Today, I discovered a serious issue with this monitor that I think needs to be talked about more-- the ghosting. This monitor, despite it's claims against it, has some bad problems with ghosting. I noticed it while watching a video on hardware preferences, and compared my two monitors. The other monitor had zero ghosting (it's another 144hz gaming monitor from around 2017) and the LG one had some serious ghosting. It started hitting me that my monitor might have been causing the issues that I had i had thought previously to be the issue of the game.

Stooped working after 1 year, I bought new power adaptor according to the model specification and no response from the monitor. We have LG appliances at home and we are very happy with them, but the monitor is a disappointment. Please help! BR Michael

My monitor personally lasted a good 5 years, but I have seen many people say that theirs had not even lasted 1 year or 2 at most. I initially had gotten the monitor with dead pixels, sent it back, waited 2 months, got the monitor back, and it still had the dead pixels. I couldn’t be bothered to deal with bad customer service so I dealt with the dead pixels for years. I now woke up today and my monitor simply won’t turn on. It worked last night perfectly fine as usual. Now the power button won’t light up. I contacted their 24/7 support to be questioned if I did the troubleshooting steps even after my first message said how I did every troubleshooting step on the website and did them multiple times each. The monitor was not bad, but looking back, I was too young to realize most of the price for this thing is the power cord ($80) and the stand which I do not know the price but it is a large selling point. The response time was good but could be better, ghosting was there but not awful. Do not buy this with the expectation of it lasting you more than a year or two. I genuinely think I got lucky with how long mine lasted with how many complaints I’ve seen about life expectancy. Buying this is a gamble. Their customer support has been torn apart in other reviews. I have NEVER been the type to leave reviews on products, but I’m so frustrated with how much this company has put me through with my monitor. How does it just STOP working randomly??? Every other part of my pc is fine, there was no power surge, it is not my psu, and you tell me I have to spend $80 on a new cord that might not even work or send my monitor to your repair team whom last time I sent my monitor to took 2 months for some dead pixels just to not even fix them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product until it kills itself Great monitor for the price but, F me do not buy it doesn't hold up long term. Main board typically burns out after 2 - 3 years - which effectively kills the monitor (no longer powers on). Monitors are supposed to last far longer! Its a common issue for many of the LG Ultragear Displays.
