Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Case for Ipad Pro This is a lighter case then expected which is a good thing. I originally had an Ipad 2 and it seems that case was heavier for the smaller Ipad. The 1st Ipad Pro Otterbox case was very difficult to turn on/off the Ipad Pro, called customer service and they replaced it immediately and when it arrived, it worked like a charm. I have never used anything but Otterbox for my iPads or my iPhones.

Have dropped out of tree stands and climbers when hunting and never had a broken device. Stands the test of time and some water too. Great case will never change, always buy, and built to last. Also great stand on iPad when doing sales presentations!

I also like the fact that the cover also con be used as a stand . My only complaint is that there is no spot for my ipen to be stored . Other than that the cover is great .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's ok but I feel it a bit flimsy Like the title say, I have always used Defender cases because in the past my Note 2, 3 and even Note 5 have lasted me a very long time with out breaking the la to these defender cases. I purchased a defender case for my wife's LG G6 phone and the rubber surround is already lose from the edges. The same thing happened to me with my note 5 case. The warranty coverage DID replaced my note 5 case because when it fell on the floor from about 4 feet off the ground the corner of the case cracked I had pictures to prove the damage but they believed my case and sent a replacement. Thankfully nothing happened to my Note 5, where am I going with this? Well.... the otter box defender case I purchased for my wife a couple of weeks ago feels very flimsy, I know the iPad Pro I got for her is big at 12.9 inches bur the plastic part of the case feels very flimsy like if they reduced the build of the case to save money but charge more. Would i reccomend the case still? Yes because you still need to find a way to protect the ipad pro or smart phone from accidents drops. I have tried other cases and none come close to Otter box Defender. Pros: protects from accidental bumps and falls Protects from getting dust on it. Hard shell case has Apple Pencil Holder Cons: very expensive for what it is Material feels very flimsy vs past products Rubber case corners waste within months Of use. No other available colors only black.

I have seen friends use other manufacture's cases for their iPhone and iPad but for me only Otterbox are designed to truly protect Apple's products in real life situations, such as in the field or during travel. There were few companies making cases for the iPADPRO when it first came out, and Otterbox Defender Series Case for the iPADPRO did not reach Europe for many months were I was working, so I had to wait and was forced try other cases. All were totally inadequate and were flimsy or ill-fitting except for the Defender Series. I always feel sorry for the people I see at the airport who carry around devices with broken screens and wonder why they did not invest in an Otterbox case. Often the response is they can not get the broken screen repaired because they can not afford to give up their device for repair even for a few days. While the Defender Cases are overbuilt and heavier than from another company, for me robustness is more important then beauty in protecting my devise and my irreplaceable data.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it! I really cant say a bad thing about this case. I purchased it from this site and it came in just a couple of days. The case and stand work perfectly together and the extra spot for the apple pencil is awesome. The case very easy to install and is very secure with a proper fit. The top cover/stand snaps on as a added level of screen protection when not in use and the button covers work extremely well as does the protective flaps that cover the ports on the iPad Pro. This case is top quality and extremely well made. It is a tiny bit bulky as you would expect from a case that offers this level of protection, but it feels great in your hand and after a few uses you wont even notice it. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best case on market I am a loyal Otterbox customer and when they made an iPad Pro case I was very happy. It is tight fitting, protection with the three layers and love the clear plastic over the screen. It is always responsive even with fingerprints. I love the fact you can stand it vertical and horizontal. The only cons are that when standing vertical in the highest slant Its a little too upright. That, and more colors please! I wish there were more options on how to slant the iPad. Right now there are only two. Ok, one more thing. A hole for the camera when the back panel is on would be nice.

Every phone and IPad in our family has a Defender case. The one time I bought a different brand of case for my phone it cost me $350 when the phone and case broke when I drop them. Never again! Otterbox forever!

Love how the cover doubles as a two way stand and has a well thought out place holder for the digital pen (I don't have one but in case I ever get one I know where to store it!. I thought I wanted a lighter case but I need something heavy duty for the traveling I do. I can simply put it in my big traveling purse and don't have to worry about it not being protected. I understand the need for wanting to add a keyboard and its inability to attach one with the cover on, but you can always get a Bluetooth keyboard to accomplish the same thing. I have no problem with the plastic cover that protects the screen, am able to do everything I used to do without a cover minus having a ton of fingerprints on my screen. Yes it's got some weight to it, but if that's a trade off you're willing to make, it IS so well with the price. I highly recommend this case.

It fits perfectly, easy to use and very sturdy. Yes, it is heavier (which can negate the lightness of the Ipad Pro but that is a good thing. For the price of my iPad, I wanted the best protection. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good and durable case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good case but could be better The Defender case provides excellent overall protection but lacks the sleep/wake magnet in the cover that I had in my earlier Otterbox iPad case a few years ago. I've already snapped on the stand/cover several times without remembering to turn off the iPad first. Hoping Otterbox just forgot that and will correct their mistake soon. Add that missed feature and I'll gladly change my review from 3 stars to 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Case, but only one color? Solid is a good way of describing this, and most of the Otter Box cases. It's true to their past defender designs. However, I did like that they added a little more grip to the rubber outer layer. A huge plus was the Apple Pencil holder hidden in the case. It's safe and crucial if you're using the pencil with your iPad Pro, which is the main reason for getting the pro. The only downside to this case is it only comes in ONE color. I bought my iPad in white/silver because I personally think it has a "cleaner" look. I had figured I would be getting a glacier otterbox like almost all of their Defender Renditions have featured. Guess Not. This is the only reason for the -1 star. Everything else is a +. Honestly may buy a Catalyst for their glacier (white/silver version when they release in April if otterbox does not come out with a different color. But that's just my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the perfect protection (for i-padpro) I bought the otterbox for my i-pad pro, which I am taking outdoors a lot. Definitively robust, as advertized. Easy to open and snap on/off. The apple pen (or finger) works through the clear plastic just fine. Some minor, minor issues to know about: Finger-ID to activate the i-padpro does not work (easily), because the casing rim is too "high/thick" such that the finger no longer flattens across the button. There is no such problem to press the button during normal usage of the i-padpro. Also, I find it inconvenient that the lid comes off completely and must be stored separately. A small modification to add a cable or clip-on would significantly improve this aspect. So I will just buy a clip and glue it on with superglue, or simply carry a pouch/bag to stick in the lid while using the i-padpro outdoors. I would definitively buy the otterbox again. (For indoors, I use the kensington cover with keyboard).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Device protection Spendy yes, but it is the best protection one can get for your iPad or iPhone. I use it on both. There is a case of hard plastic cover by a shock absorbing neoprene cover. As I'd learned by using it on my phone, I'd dropped it a couple times with no damage. The screen shield as I've learned with the phone takes a beating and needs to be replaced from time to time. But when you remove the protection the actual screen is clear as a bell. Personally, I think the device manufacturers should instinctively put these on there products. It just makes sense.

I tried a cheaper case, but it did not provide the protection suitable for a $1000.00 electronic tablet, and it didn't come with a screen protector and cover. A screen as large as the iPad pro needs a protective screen cover especially when traveling.

The rubber cover on the back around the logo does not stay secured. It sags when you hold it horizontally. I wish they would fix this and send out new ones.

I knew the protection I was getting because as with my iphone (I have several colors in the cases because I like to change it up at times) I have dropped my phone a couple of times face down, face up and it survived everytime I even lost my phone when I was walking my dog because it fell out of my pocket when I stumbled and retraced my steps it was pretty dark but the purple and green cover help me see it, but the reason I really bought the ipad pro defenter series was for the "wicked availability of having a stand," the pencil clip is an extra benefit. Can't wait to watch videos and read mail without having to hold the ipad. I would love to see it come out with a choice of colors to customize, but it would be pricey

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toch Screen? Cal it, "Punch Screen" I bought the Otterbox for iPad Pro 12.9" As soon as I put it on, I new I had a problem. The touch-sensitivity of the plastic screen cover is miserable. I had to take it back to the store, have the plastic cover removed and have a glass screen cover put on it. This raised the price of the Otterbox by almost $8o.

I have one on my iPhone 6 Plus, on my iPad 2 Air and now this one on my iPad Pro. Love the protection it offers - I never worry about damage to my devices (I know they are well protected). The only thing I would want is options for colors other than black. Otter Customer Service is also EXCELLENT! I would definitely recommend Otter for any device. You won't regret it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case for protection I bought this case since it was the only case I found with a hidden pencil holder. The case serves the purpose of protection really well. However, usability falls a little short for me. I use the charging port one or more times per day and I use the headphone jack less regularly. I would prefer the port cover hinge to be toward the back so I can view the ports while plugging in. The real issue for me is the tilt angle of the iPad is almost vertical in portrait mode. I read magazines and PDF technical documents in portrait mode. Having the angle the same as landscape would be awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb protection The pro is a very distinct device and I felt the only way to keep it protected is to secure it with Otter Box just as I do for all of my other Apple devices. The Apple pencil works perfectly with the cover. The smart keyboard does not fit however the return was swift and a Bluetooth keyboard replaced it. The pencil tucks away in the shell so the only thing left to carry is the charging cable which is a problem easily solved by a backpack or satchel.

Used as a kick stand it is well designed, but if you need to clip it on the back of the device it is quite slippery to hold. It should be rougher, like the rest of the case, maybe even rubberised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe at last...what a relief I have been using Otter Box products for my cell phones and have been anxiously waiting for one for my iPad Pro...it has been a long wait and I have, during that time had no protection other than the magnetic cover for my iPad...it has been frustrating. I checked Apple, Amazon, best buy and other retailers consistently to see if it had been released yet...finally someone from Apple directed me to the Otter Box site indicating that one is out they just don't carry it...and there it was!!! I placed the order and it was on my doorstep the next day. I was so impressed with the service but even more impressed with the defender...as with my cell phone covers it does what it says it will do....and the bonus is a cover that comes off and had a stand inside that has come in handy. the best part it was soooooo easy to take apart and put on the iPad...10 stars for this product....no more constant wiping of the screen or worrying that I am going to scratch or damage.

I decided to get a good case so I sprang for an Otterbox case and am glad I did. The shipping was fast and it was well packed. The case is extremely well made, it fits the iPad perfectly, all the openings line up well. I was skeptical about how well the clear screen protector would work with the touch screen as it is not sealed on the screen like most separate screen protecters are, but it works well. I like the fact that it is made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty, can't ask for more. You can definitely buy less expensive cases but you get what you pay for. I am very satisfied with my new Otterbox case.

Even after having my last I phone for 4 years, I took it out of the case and the phone looked like new and I am very rough on phones. I have only had the new I Pad Pro case for a few weeks but so far it has been great! The front protective cover it comes with is great. Thank you Otter box!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good four stars i bought my ottercase two years ago for our brandnew i-pad, as we have four small children and live as expats in tropical africa. it protected the i pad excellent, therefore it was a good choice. i do not have to worry about the i-pad, when our 2 year old toddler is on the move... ; ) it comes with a price though: it is bulky and heavy (heavier) and the price is outrageous... the rubber cover starts to show small cracks now and is a bit wobbly now, so clearly this is not forever. i hope it will make another three years or so... all in all four ****!

Apple Care bailed me out, but since then every iPad upgrade has gone into an Otter Box. The latest is a iPad Pro and it did not leave the house until the Otter delivered. I have traveled back and forth, five days a week minimum, for five years with the pads in a Otter Box and never had to have any pad replaced or repaired. I did have to replace a box after the corner broke off during a nasty fall down a flight of stairs. I also like the new pen storage as I am also prone to losing them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's ok. I have been using otter box on all my phones & iPads for the last 8yrs. They all worked the way they should. On this iPad pro case the lid does not snap on right, I believe it's defective. I will file a claim and hope they will send me a new lid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lock button doesn't work let this be known, I love otterbox products and only trust them with every electronic device I have. Yet, recently I bought one otter box case at Best buy and returned it the next day because the lock button wasn't working. So I decided to buy another otterbox online and still had the same problem. I have read other people have had similar problems and only advise other people to wait most likely for another edition to come out.

I've tried other products, however, this is the only case which provides full front to back protection. The only thing I would like to see added is a slot for the Apple Pencil on the exterior of the case; its a bit of nuisance having to take it in and out of the inside of the case all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I am a repeat otter box shopper. I've been purchasing otter box since iPhone3. This time they out did themselves. Preparing for the apple pencil. They even made a slot for it! The only negative is they didn't adapt for the "smart keyboard" (I hadn't planned to purchase that anyway, but I can see where people might be disappointed) this case is much thinner then they use to make them, but twice as tough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When only the best would do It's hands down the best iPad cover I have used. I bought one when my iPad pro first came out because the otter box defender case was not out yet. That case drove me crazy. Nothing lined up.. Thank God otter box released theirs. Everything lines up and works like its suppose to. Fit and form is great and it just works... The apple pencil fits nice and snug it the cover. Otter box warranty is 2nd to none and I have never had any issue when I contacted them about any issue. I wish it had the magnets that turned off the screen like on my IPad 3 did but I'm not sure if the iPad Pro does that.

I recently purchased an iPad Pro and was very happy to see that Otterbox already had a case for it. I like the peace of mind in the protection from Otterbox and that the screen cover doubles as a stand for the iPad. For me, Otterbox is the only case that I use to protect my electronic devices. I would highly recommend their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from iPad pro otter box I give this product 4 1/2 stars. Works great as expected, the pencil holder is an added plus plus. My only -1/2 star reason would be the hard plastic screen protector. There simply doesn't exist a plastic protector that doesn't take away some of the HD quality in viewing. No fault to Otterbox. I placed a high quality tempered glass protector on my iPad pro and used a blow drier for a few minutes on the interior adhesive lining of the plastic screen. Once the adhesive was sufficiently heated I carefully removed it and cleaned the liner. Once it cooled off I assembled the screen less Otterbox back together and it looks waaay better. The original plastic protector is fine though. The thumbprint reader comes covered as well so no dust or debri can get inside. I'm only sharing what I did according to my liking. I feel like I'm now watching media on my device in true HD. Long time Otterbox customer, I would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from expected better The protective sleeve that fits the iPad is excellent, but the clip on front bit that protects the scfreen and acts as a stand is awkward, doesn't feel very strong or robust, and is a bit bulky and naff. Not up to the usual OtterBox standard to be honest.

Hinge them togetber and make work as a stand would do the job. Otherwise the competition has a long way to go. Great work otterbox!

The first two hours I had my OtterBox case on , it took a tumble down the stairs the boys were watching Sesame Street and fighting over who would hold The iPad and it left their hands at high speed and slammed into the base of the stairs which got me running down the hallway fearing the worst .. I could not believe it No signs of damage to the case or the iPad . Thank you thank you thank you once again OtterBox delivers !

The protection adds some bulk and weight to the iPad pro,but it also gives you a sense of relief,knowing if it dropped,it would be protected. The free shipping was nice....took awhile to arrive,wish I had the option of upgrading my shipping for a speedier delivery,but free is free....it arrived. Otterbox makes the best looking,most protective cases around. This is a great investment for protecting a very expensive iPad Pro. Don't waste your money on other brands. This is the best around.

On this case for the iPad Pro I really like that they've made the lightning port bigger to accommodate some third part device cables that have larger plugs. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because unlike my other cases this one doesn't let the iPad seat solidly in the stand in landscape position. Other than that it's perfect.

The only imperfection I have found was in the piece covering the screen. I felt it was my handling. However I now have on my iPad Pro and in less than a month I am noticing the same problem. The protection over the screen is starting to show marks or spots. I have cleaned well to ensure that there was no residue lingering. I love the protection that surrounds my new iPad. I don't worry about dropping and the device (stand) built in to provide angles of viewing is awesome. If not for the. Screen imperfection I would rate at 5 stars!

However, I was very disappointed with the only color option being black. It would be nice to add colors, not sure why this was overlooked by the company. But when it comes to protecting my device I wasn't willing to trade great iPad protection for color options. Otterbox is unbeatable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Defender iPad Pro I had been a fan of the Defender cases. I have the Defender cases on my iPad Air, iPhone 6 Plus, Amazon Fire and Samsung Galaxy. I find this new Defender case for my new iPad Pro to be disappointing. The fit around the corners are not very good. It is a little loose around the edges. The new look of this case on the 4 corners are also of a cut design instead of a rounded edge. I am concern that the cut designed edge is not as protective. I also like to see more color choices because that is very important too.

While it does offer the drop protection otterbox is known for it comes up short in so many other ways. The touch ID is completely unusable, not responsive at all and this is a huge deal. The back of the case where the apple logo is, is completely loose and non tight fitting, I can literally put my hand in the case and touch the iPad through this hole. The "oil effect" on the screen is worse on this case than any I have ever used, again unusable unless you're staring directly at it in the dark. All in all, very disappointed in the case, 2 stars only for the protection it offers, if you want the case to protect you from debris or to use the touch ID move along.

The one problem I'm having is when the iPad is placed in the horizontal position and propped up using the upright angle. The iPad seems to slip out. I don't feel it locks in or grabs as well as other cases.

When I purchased the large 12.9 iPad Pro from Apple my search for a case to protect my device began literally right after stepping out side the apple store. After reading many different reviews, I saw that Otter Box made a case for my device. I do have their case for my iPhone and it didn't occur to me that they would have one for the iPad. I am glad that I went to their site to check as my phone has never been damaged from all the drops it has endured. The cost at time of purchase was $129.95 and I can say it is definitely worth it! I feel my device is truly protected!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unstable stand The protective case is fine. However when my iPad pro is placed in the stand in the landscape position, the back support is very low. This makes the iPad pro very top heavy and unstable when placed in the stand. When tapping on the top of the iPad pro screen....one has to be careful otherwise the device can fall over. I had a regular iPad with an otter box and it fit in the stand way more securely and never had this problem.

I could live with the weight and bulkiness for the protection factor, but the protective screen was so thick, made typing very hard. Was easy to scroll thru Facebook but any email composition was near impossible ..... Slow.... You guys were great to offer full refund and freight charge to return.. Thanks !

The Ipad Pro case fully encapsulates the Ipad Pro "AND" it has the protective screen as part of the encapsulation. Speakers are loud and clear and handling the rubber case is a perfect tactile ergonomic design. Bravo !
