I have been waiting for Plantronics to come back out with a new 900MHZ headset and this is it. I now have a mix of CS540's and CS540XD's in my call center and everything is working without interfearence. Contrary to popular belief you can have too many Dect Headsets in one area but now with the 900MHZ option eveybody can have a wireless headset. The CS540XD in my opinion outperforms the Dect version of this headset because 900MHZ has better wall and obstruction signal penetration than does a Dect Headset.The 540XD also has wideband audio which makes it a perfect fit for our Managers and Directors who demnad the best possible audio for those daily conference calls.

I bought the phone for my home office, but I was not able to get it to work due to needing it hooked up to a "switch" system. I don't have that technology set up in my home. I had to send the phone back for a refund. I apologize for the inconvenience to Plantronics, but I couldn't use the phone.

That one wouldn't work either. After months of working with tech support, I came to realize we needed a 900mhz set. I had used Plantronics in the past and loved them. I was not disappointed. With so many other wireless devices in the area, this still works like a dream!

Rated 5 out of 5 byMike8675309 from Looks very nice but.......It looks very nice but is not as user friendly as the obsoleted model that I had previously. It lacks the comfort of the older model also. It works good but when wearing something 8 hours a day I would prefer comfort over style.

My last one wouldn't keep a charge for more than 20 minutes, so after 6 years, it was time for an upgrade. It fits nicely on my ear, I can hear the other person cleary and I like the sleek design.

Rated 5 out of 5 byLatrice from Not a problem so far...i've been beta testing it to make sure it is compatible with our NEC dterm series i phones at work and its lived up to my expectations. it beeps to alert me of incoming calls when away from the desk, lets me know if anyone if playing with my phone when im in the file room,

As an Information Technology Executive Recruiter, I live on the phone, so clarity, battery charge, and mobility are very important for me and the CS500 has been great!
