Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2TB Samsung T5I have used many of the Samsung T5 models. The 500GB, the 1TB, and now the 2TB. The are very slim and portable. They look nice and perform very fast. It also comes with software to encrypt your drive. This is optional however. The 2TB is slightly on the expensive end but 2TB drives with 3.1 are still new and the price is relativaly in line with competing brands. When compared to other brands, the Samsung T5 is much faster and quite frankly looks better. It is light and easy to carry. I haven't had any concerns about durability. It definitely looks like it would survive if dropped. I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice driveVery nicely built -- smaller than I expected it to be. Very fast. Not in love with the intrusive software, which I mistakenly installed. The software is required to do hardware encryption on the drive, and pops up asking for your password whenever you plug the drive in. I would have preferred being able to store the password in my Mac keychain so the drive could auto-mount. Samsung can do better.I ended up uninstalling the software and removing hardware encryption from the drive. I used an encrypted filesystem on the drive instead. The drive itself, other than the issues above, works great and is very fast.
