Turn a USB Type-C port on your laptop into three USB Type-A charge-and-sync ports (5Gbps) and one USB Type-C port. Here's an easy way to connect a wider range of peripherals to your USB-C enabled laptop. This 4-port USB 3.0 hub lets you connect both USB-C and USB-A peripherals to your laptop or desktop computer, through a single USB Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 port.

It's ideal for virtually any USB-C equipped laptop, such as your MacBook, Chromebook, Dell Latitude 11 5000 2-in-1, or Dell XPS 12.

This USB 3.0 hub lets you expand your USB connection options using the USB-C port on your computer. (USB 3.0 is also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1.) It offers one USB-C port and three USB-A ports, so you can connect traditional USB devices now, while still being able to connect the growing number of USB Type-C devices in the future.

The integrated, easy-to-use USB Type-C connector is small and reversible, which makes for easier insertions. You can connect the plug with either side facing up, which means less risk of damaging your ports, and less frustration.

With three fast-charge ports, this hub can help to ensure that your tablets and smartphones are charged and ready to use when you need them. Each USB-A port supports USB Battery Charging Specification 1.2, so you can charge and sync up to three devices simultaneously. (The charge provided depends on the number of devices connected and the amount of power current each device draws. The hub's USB-C port does not support charging.)

This self-powered USB 3.0 hub comes with an external power adapter to support power-hungry USB devices, such as larger external hard drives and enclosures, which require more power than USB power can provide on its own. Plus, the versatile USB 3.0 hub takes up minimal space on a desk, so it fits perfectly in hot-desk or BYOD environments.

With its compact and lightweight design, the USB hub is also ideal for mobile use. You can simply tuck the hub and power adapter into your laptop bag to expand your connectivity when you're traveling.

Avoid the cost of purchasing new peripherals, by using this USB 3.0 hub with your current USB 3.0 and 2.0 devices. The self-powered hub installs quickly with no additional drivers or software required, and it's compatible with virtually all operating systems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from USB3 to USBA Hub Made EasyI have been in the AV/IT Integration space for over 30 years. I found this unit easy to setup and use on my Microsoft, Android and Apple devices. This unit has the ability to simultaneously fast-charge up to three mobile devices, all three USB-A ports. The USB Hub is both self-powered and comes with an external power adapter to support various small and large USB devices, which require more power than USB power can provide on its own. The unit installs quickly with no additional drivers or software required, and is compatible with a variety of operating systems, which I tested. What is Included:1 - 4-Port USB 3.1 Hub1- Universal Power AdapterNote: “I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't charge MacBook ProI bought this solution to have in 1 adapter USB and power charger, but it doesn't work as power charger with MAcBook Pro, neither if you connect the original Apple charger to USB-C included in the adapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good hub but no return USB-C powerI have used this hub on several phones and computers for the past several weeks. I have not had any compatibility issues and it connects quickly. The hub itself is pretty small, about the size of a package of gum or breath mints. It comes with an AC adaptor so the box it much bigger and heavier than expected for just a hub. The AC adaptor comes with different ends so it can be used in different countries. The AC adaptor is only needed to power USB-A devices. The hub will NOT power the USB-C device I connect. The hub has a light on the top to indicate that it is powered which is extremely bright. You wouldn't want to leave it connected in a bedroom or dark board room as it is very distracting. The product description was a little confusing for me as I thought it would provide USB-C power to keep my devices (phone/laptop) charged while connected. This is not the case as the power is only for USB-A devices that require more power. The hub also has a USB-C port which I also thought may be able to pass though power from my charger. I tested this and confirmed that it will not do this. I have to choose between using the hub and charging my device. I have not had any issues using devices I connect to the hub. Everything is recognized quickly and works very quick. Even using 2.5" USB drives works well with the power on the hub. The hub works very well other than the issue charging my phone/laptop. If it could charge my device, even with pass through power from the other USB-C port it would be many times better. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hub and standalone charging hub.Great hub. Small, power adapter stays connected (many cheaper hubs have been tried, and the power connector always seems to be loose!), and great throughput. Charges phones, tablet, etc. as long as power adapter is connected. A longer or detachable USB-C cord would be a nice touch, as the attached cable is stiff and getting the hub to lay flat or in the direction desired isn't easy.Works great with Macbook and Dell laptops. Two critiques:1) Pass-through power would be great as a standard function on all devices like this, instead of having to select one based on this feature being available or not. 2. Place at least one of the USB-A ports on the end or opposite side, to accommodate larger devices.I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from could not connectIt would not stay connected. Tiniest movement would make it disconnect, then it would need to be in a very specific position to reconnect. Better off buying a $45 adapter off of amazon (which also includes hdmi and sd card ports).
