Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything works great...except the Ethernet I've been using this for 2 weeks now. The AVG/HDMI works great (as does the USB connection). However, I haven't been able to use the Ethernet connection. I use Big Sur 11.6 (the driver is updated up to 11.5). I've tried everything. Hope this gets fixed very soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not support MacOS 11 I bought this last year, and it worked fine. But when I upgraded my system to MacOS11 (Big Sur), the Ethernet connection stopped working. Contacted the customer service weeks ago, and they said it was a compatibility problem. However, they have not provided any solution till now. Just checked, no updated driver yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't keep up with Mac updates I'm locked into this adapter because my work won't let me use anything else. Big Sur has been out five months and they still don't have a driver for it. So I'm stuck with slow wifi or reverting to the old OS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product I got this product to test and I have been using it since. I tried on my android tablet, Samsung S8 and on my laptop. Gret features as you can export your cell phone or tablet to a screen for demonstrations and in my opinion, it is the selling point for a good price. I have a Dell laptop with USB C and work awesome with no fallbacks. Disclaimer: I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great adapter when on the move! Connecting via USB-C this multiport adapter has GbE, USB and VGA/HDMI for external display. The length of the USB-C cable is a little short (not sure if USB-C extender would work) but other than that it works great for my needs. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly! Great little adapter for connecting to a monitor and network when bouncing between offices. USB port makes it even better. Solid build, and fast/smooth performance in the network and file transfer (USB), and USB peripheral use! My only gripe is that the attached cable is, well, attached. Being as short as it is, it keeps it close to the laptop and that's not always ideal. A detachable cable so that the user can decide what length is needed, would be ideal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect port selection! I’ve tried a lot of these types of mini-docking stations/dongles from StarTech and while they’ve all been excellent, this one is by far the best because it has the perfect port setup. You always want to have Ethernet because most laptops these days are getting thinner and losing this port. An extra USB3 port is always welcome. As for the two display ports, I’ve seen these in different combinations but this one is the most compatible. Most of the conference rooms I’ve seen are either VGA or HDMI and this has both. As for the construction, it feels very solid and well made and the cable is thick and won’t fray or come apart easy. Also, it’s just plug and play, no messing around with drivers needed. Would recommend. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite USB-C adapter While I really like USB-C and all the things it can do, I still only have one of them on my ultrabook, which makes for constant switching to connect everything I need to. Not anymore. This adapter combines all the things I really need in a small adapter with a perfectly short cable. It’s both a small docking station and perfect travel adapter, giving me another USB3 port, Gigabit Ethernet and 2 video options. It’s all I need and works perfectly every time. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect adapter for my needs! I was only able to test the unit with my Samsung Galaxy S8 as my laptop does not have a USB-C port. It worked flawlessly to export my phone's screen to both HDMI or VGA. This allows me to demonstrate our product's mobile app in sales and training environments. Additionally, I love the fact that it is bus-powered, reducing the need to carry around yet another bulky power adapter. Disclaimer: I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from USB-C Multi-port Adapter Made Easy I have been in the AV/IT Integration space for over 30 years. I found this unit easy to setup and use on my Microsoft and Apple devices. I particularly like that this compact adapter is USB-powered, so there's no need to carry a separate power adapter. What makes this valuable to road warriors is that the unit provides both HDMI and VGA video output, giving you the flexibility to adapt to newer and older conference room setups as needed. The adapter also features a built-in USB-C cable and gives you network connectivity and a USB Type-A connection for versatility. The unit installs quickly and the drivers installed automatically, and is compatible with a variety of operating systems, which I tested. What is Included: 1 - USB-C Multi-port Adapter 1- Instruction Manual Note: “I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not fully compatible with 2018 MacBook Pro Purchased 5 of these for use with the 2018 MacBook Pro. Ethernet port doesn't work on any of the supplied adapters with our Macs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fried my Macbook Upon plugging this adapter into my 2018 MacBook, everything seemed fine. I used it for about 20 minutes, unplugged it, and went to a meeting. I opened the lid to my laptop and got an error indicating my battery was dead. Indeed it wasn't, as this laptop stays on charge most of the day. Thankfully I have AppleCare as to which Apple had to replace cabling to the USB-C port as well as the entire logic board due to this adapter. Perhaps this is a fluke, but I sure wouldn't buy this adapter again or dare plug it back into my MacBook.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised. I've used it with my MacBook Pro to connect USB devices and to connect VGA and HDMI projectors. They all worked fine. I have not tried the Ethernet port. It's a lot more convenient than carrying separate dongles for USB, VGA, HDMI, etc.
