Great little adaptor
I have used this USB to HDMI with several devices for a few weeks and I like how quick and easy it connects.
The adaptor comes in a large box, you would expect a PCI card in. You could almost fit ten of these adaptors in the package. There are no instructions but it is pretty straight forward and doesn't need them. The dongle itself is a good size, slightly shorter than the length of my hand.
When connected to a phone or computer it is immediately detected and starts working within 30 seconds. I can use it with just the HDMI connected (no power) for short presentations where I don't need to charge my device. I can also connect USB-C power to the adaptor so that it passes through the power and charges my device while connected.
This is a great little adaptor that works very well and quickly. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Use an external display without losing a port!
I am now able to display to an external source and still have a usb c port free which helps be cut down on the amount of cables I need to carry with me while I am on the road.
As the previous reviewer said the usb c port is in an awkward place BUT being so compact I am not so sure if there would be another place.
The display is great and being HDMI I can use any TV & most monitors - this will be in my laptop bag wherever I go.

What else needs to be said about a single-purpose adapter? It works. No drivers needed, no convoluted setups. Macbook Pro driving a 4K monitor via HDMI. Plug it in and it just works (tested on Dell and Macboo Pro). Having power pass-through is nice as it saves a port on the laptop as well.
My only critique on this, is that the power adapter should be on the same end as the HDMI, or at least on the side. Having it on the same side as the USB connector creates an odd "flow" to the cables, versus everything being in a nice straight line.
