Connecting a MacBook Air to an Apple cinema displa
It did exactly what I needed it to do perfectly. I connected a MacBook Air—usb c to mini port cable on an Apple 27” monitor with this adapter. Apple Thunderbolt adapter to usb c did not work. This adapter worked immediately.

Great adaptor
I was desperate to connect my new Macbook pro to my old 2010 Cinema Display. I tried out many, nothing worked, until someone to me about this one. I contact someone via the chat. That person help me a lot and convince me to buy it. I'm please to say that everything is working perfectly now!

Not as good as the iTANDA adapter
The port to insert the thunderbolt cable is not great - Does not fit in all the way in so I cant get the display to work correctly. I used an iTANDA adapter which is built much better.

Didn’t work but could be Apple issue.
Did not work with my Acer monitor and MacBook Air. Have not been able to diagnose problem. Be careful when you buy adapters. I more hold Apple accountable for eliminating USBs and leaving users to figure mouth won’t make peripherals work again.

C cable connector to dell monitor
I bought the cable a month ago to work with my new MacBook c port. Did not work. Returns are complicated. Don’t waste your money. Would rate a zero stars if it was available.

Never worked in HP ZBook 15 G3 or Macbook 2017
It works for monitors but not for AV systems like Extron, Crestron or regular TVs.

Excellent adapter
This adapter did exactly what it is supposed to do, Convert usb-c to mini display port.
The connection is simple and the adapter worked without issue
The cable seems pretty durable so I feel the adapter should hold up pretty well to some of the abuse i will put it through
Overall - excellent adapter

Just what we needed
So glad we found out about Startech. We had been searching for just the right cord/adapter to hook a centique to a Mac and no one anywhere seemed to know what we needed until we found out about startech!
