Rated 5 out of 5 by from software switching doesnt work manual switch doesworks well if you want to push the buttons to switch from one computer to another. we have a 25 foot square room and its a pain to walk over and have to push the switch each time you want to switch computers. software doesn't work with windows 7 or 8. Maybe it work with xp or other operating systems

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good points and bad pointsI have used several brands of USB switch. Most (using manual switches) have contact problems. Here, the electronic switching is solid. The problem is in the control. Why not just simple buttons on top to make the selection. Skip all the install and hot-key rigamarole. This device does not work at all without "installing" the software. And that seldom works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't work with many devicesWe purchased one and tried to use it with a Xerox 3220 scanner but it didn't work. Called tech support who sent another one. After the second new one failed tech support said that this scanner doesn't work with the USB switch. When we asked if there's a list of devices that don't work with the switch they said there are "too many devices" that don't work with the switch to list.So be aware that it's very likely that this device will fail

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works with all operating systems.must reboot computers after installing software. ctrl f11 doesnt work but right click on globe and switch works. if globe doesnt turn yellow after switching to another computer you need to reboot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The fantastic 4-Port USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Scanner Sharing SwitchThe above USB sharing switch was the only switch I could find that would allow me to share our scanner between my wife and myself without having to manually switch it. Due to the position of everything I needed a switch that I could either operate with keystrokes or preferably with the mouse. This switch filled the bill admirably. It really is a brilliant device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am very disappointedSwitch works only intermittently. I tried different positions, however this did not solve the problem. In the interest of getting my work done I was forced to abandon its use and go back to plugging and unplugging cables between my printer and the two computers that share it.
