The SMART1000RM2U SmartPro 120V 1kVA 800W Line-Interactive Sine Wave UPS provides battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, power surges and line noise that can damage electronics or destroy data. Ideal for backing up servers and network storage devices, the SMART1000RM2U switches to 1kVA/800W battery mode in milliseconds to keep your connected equipment running long enough to save files and shut down safely with no data loss.

Four of the six NEMA 5-15R outlets may be switched off remotely to reboot equipment or shed nonessential loads to maximize battery backup time for mission-critical equipment. The internal battery provides 15 minutes of support at half load (400W) and 5.3 minutes at full load (800W). A front-panel LCD screen lets you monitor important data, such as load level, power factor, voltage, battery charge and estimated runtimes.

Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) maintains 120V nominal output over an input range of 83V to 147V without using battery power. EMI/RFI noise filtering improves your equipment’s performance and prevents damage. A 570-joule surge suppression rating protects your equipment from harmful power surges. With Tripp Lite’s PowerAlert software, available via free download from, the SMART1000RM2U enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in case of a prolonged power failure.

Tripp Lite SmartPro 1000RM2U is rated4.60 out of5 by5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I recommend these for most of my SMB phone system customersThis is a great fit for a 15-30 minute runtime for small (<60 user) phone systems supporting digital sets. I would recommend a larger capacity UPS if supporting IP sets running off of a co-located POE LAN switch due to the additional power draw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it is okIt was working for many years but then battery started to die one after another. Well it was good device and I liked it performance and a lot of features in built-in web interface. Though improve batteries' lifetime would be nice. Still pretty nice product for it's price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish this is the way they used to make them.I replaced our old UPS for our main servers with this product, I used two since the cost was still less than our older unit was origninally, both of them together take up less space than our older one did with half only the capacity of the power back up. Extremely good value

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart Pro 1U Good Choice for small data racks/cabinetsWe purchased 7 of these units for the data racks spread throughout the campus. They are prefect for the one or two devices in the racks. The relatively short depth of the units allows for flexibility as some of the racks have limited depth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two SmartPro replacing two Smart1500 that died.So far Smart Pro 120 1kVA 800 W installation has gone very well. Just hope they last longer the smart1500 that failed after two years. It is really too soon to know whether I would recommend to a friend:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement Rack UPSOne of our APC units died for the second time in 2 months. I was recommended this unit by my Zones Rep and so far so good. My only complaint is it did not ship with an option to mount on square 4 post server rack mounts...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beware of the cost of the network card.I bought the UPS to protect a small rack with 2 POE switches. We have our POE surveillance cameras on one switch and our POE SIP telephones on the other switch. The UPS is compact and reasonably priced. Unfortunately the network card for the UPS costs more than the UPS itself. I can buy a laptop and connect it via USB to the UPS for less money than the cost of a Tripp Lite network card. Something is wrong with that pricing model. The UPS does it's job but I have to hang a laptop off of it to monitor it remotely.
