The SMART1500SLT SmartPro 120V 1.5kVA 900W Line-Interactive Sine Wave UPS provides battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, power surges and line noise that can damage electronics or destroy data. Ideal for backing up VoIP systems, point-of-sale applications and network closets, the SMART1500SLT switches to battery mode in milliseconds to keep your connected equipment running long enough to save files and shut down safely with no data loss.

Featuring eight NEMA 5-15R outlets and a 1.83 m (6-ft.) power cord with NEMA 5-15P input, the SMART1500SLT has an internal battery that provides 20 minutes of support at half load and eight minutes at full load. Front-panel LEDs indicate line power, battery power, overload, voltage regulation and battery status. An alarm sounds to indicate power failure and overload conditions.

Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) maintains selectable 100V, 110V or 120V nominal output over an input range of 95V to 145V without using battery power. EMI/RFI noise filtering improves your equipment’s performance and prevents damage. A 690-joule surge suppression rating protects your equipment from harmful power surges. With Tripp Lite’s PowerAlert software (available via free download), SMART1500SLT enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in case of a prolonged power failure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable Tripp-Lite UPSOther UPS makes seem to die after a short time. My Tripp-Lites seem to last forever. Have several still going after 5 years. Just survived a 30 minute outage with no problem. You never regret buying quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK, but very noisy in an office environmentA UPS should be out of sight and out of mind, just one of those things you rely on, but never think about. This one does a good job of that, but the fan is VERY noisy if you need to use this in a quiet office space. The printed user manual says the fan will only come on when "the UPS is in battery mode, is charging its batteries or is carrying a heavy electrical load". My experience has been quite different, even after shouting down our server and leaving the unit idle for 8 hours the fan has remained on. Other than that, this UPS has been reliable and solid. I really rely on UPSs to keep all our computers running through the flaky power in our office complex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trusting Tripp-Lite to protect LED WallsActually this Tripp-Lite is used to protect the video processors and associated monitors and converters. Tripp-Lite UPSs have never let me down. Like the Engergizer bunny they just keep working and working. I haven't had this one in place but for 3 weeks and we had some serious brown outs in the building. No worries for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a single computer or multiple devices.Great backup. It handles a decent load for a good amount of time. Recharge rate is standard.SNMPWEBCARD capable which is an additional bonus. I've only had one issue with one of these (out of over 100) and support handled it promptly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does its job wellI have had the SmartPro 1500SLT for a couple of years. During that time, it has carried my system during several power failures, and I am very happy I purchased it. My only complaint is that the fan is noisy sometimes - but I can live with it, knowing I have the protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Sine Wave Server UPSHaving bought an HP Proliant server, I found the server would not remain on standby power with other UPS brands at the time. Knowing a little about UPSs, I did my research to find a true sine wave UPS. This product was on special so I bought it. When I tested it, I found the server was able to work as expected during power loss testing. The UPS is also able to send an email which is very useful. The usual auto shutdown options are also available along with a built in log for power events. If you have a server I would strongly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from UPS Doesn't have to mean APCDecided to try a TrippLite UPS after having positive experiences with their other products such as surge protectors. Cheaper, reliable, easy to use, and so far, reliable and no maintainence. All in all a good by and a product I would buy again.
