CA ARCserve Central Virtual Standby is a web-based solution designed to help IT administrators quickly and easily recover after a system outage. It automatically converts CA ARCserve D2D backups to virtual machines for VMware or Microsoft hypervisors. It is managed through the CA ARCserve Central Applications interface and you create policies that define the parameters such as specifying virtual machine name and memory, and data store information. Also, you can configure CA ARCserve Central Virtual Standby to monitor the servers and VMs being protected. If they drop from the network, you can automatically or manually stand-up the "failover" virtual machine using the latest CA ARCserve D2D recovery point.
