CA ARCserve D2D is a disk-based backup product for servers, desktops and laptops, designed to provide a fast, simple, and reliable way to protect and recover critical business information. CA ARCserve D2D is a light-weight solution for tracking changes on a machine at the block level and then backing up only those changed blocks in an incremental fashion. As a result, CA ARCserve D2D lets you perform frequent backups, thereby reducing the size of each incremental backup and providing a more up-to-date backup. CA ARCserve D2D also provides the capability to restore files/folders, volumes, and applications, and perform bare metal recovery from a single backup. It also allows users to directly restore Exchange and SQL databases from single pass backup.

The CA ARCserve D2D for Windows Server Advanced Edition protects Microsoft Standard/Enterprise Servers. It enables D2D snapshots at 15 minute intervals. CA ARCserve D2D is integrated with CA ARCserve Central Protection and CA ARCserve Central Reporting applications; works with CA ARCserve Host-based backup for virtual servers; works with CA ARCserve Central Virtual Standby for faster system recovery and includes file copy to cloud, granular MS Exchange recovery, and built-in encryption - also includes CA ARCserve D2D for Windows Exchange Option, CA ARCserve D2D for Windows SQL Option, CA ARCserve D2D for Windows Hyper-V.
