Brocade Integrated Routing - license

Customers who wish to deploy Brocade Fabric OS (FOS) - based products, such as the Brocade DCX and Brocade DCX-4S Backbone, with M-Enterprise (M-EOS) - based fabrics can attach them natively using Brocade Integrated Routing (IR). Integrated Routing on the Brocade DCX maintains fabric separation and allows devices in separate fabrics to connect without merging the fabrics. Using IR, the Brocade DCX can be attached to M-EOS fabrics operating.

Integrated Routing on the Brocade DCX can simplify device migration from M-EOS fabrics to FOS fabrics. Since Integrated Routing services natively connect to M-EOS fabrics and allow the FOS fabric to run in FOS native mode, there is no disruption to traffic in the existing fabric. When M-EOS switches go off-lease, storage and hosts can be moved to the FOS fabric.
