Rated 5 out of 5 by from quick & reliable performance enhancementThe "scan" you used to identify my memory upgrade needs was impressive and precisely accurate - I wish to upgrade my CPU but have not been able to update the BIOS due to a bus enumerator driver issue - I always lose internet connectivity after downloading the supposed updates. So my computer seems a little speedier and more reliable since installing memory - but I have not been able to push it into a full scale "test" with a CPU upgrade. I think it would be so cool if the "scan" could direct and link people like myself to software support sources that make corrections of trouble less time consuming. PS - the new memory snapped into the motherboard perfectly - less than a 10 minute job - and most of the time was used cleaning out the unit with an air canister.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1GB 240-pin DIMM DDR2 PC2-5300 NON-ECCI did not open computer but relied on the Crucial scan. Info stated I could use another stick. Purchased though had to purchase the 2 pack. I opened my Dell Inspiron 530 and found all racks held a memory stick. PC indicated my memory was 3.24Gbs. I switched back and forth with the 2 new sticks until all had been changed out. I left the 2 new ones in along with 2 old ones. At no time did my memory rise above 3.24. I just didn't need to order the items. No problems. Have a good day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Markedly Inproved System Reliability! While adding this memory to my computer did little to speed my computer up (and even then only during start up), I found that it caused a marked reduction in the amount of system stalls (times when the computer is unresponsive). I would recommend this memory as a cheap, affordable solution for anyone wishing to improve their system stability and boot times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More memory--little gainHad hoped that tripling memory would improve performance. Didn't happen. Adding memory may have helped a little--but not much if at all.
