Dell SonicWALL M series module extends the functionality of Dell SonicWALL firewalls with expandable module slots. Designed for branch offices and small- to medium-sized businesses, M series module incorporates high-end enterprise features (such as LAN bypass) that are found on Dell SonicWALL E-Class Network Security Appliance (NSA) series solutions.
M series module significantly reduces hardware infrastructure costs, lower administrative overhead and eliminates potential points of failure associated with separate multiple-vendor solutions. As easy-to-implement plug-in components, M series module adds more functionality immediately upon rebooting the firewall.
SonicWALL 4 Port GbE M1 Module expands the port density of NSA 2400MX or NSA 250M Series firewalls by adding four 1-Gbps Ethernet networking interfaces, without incurring costs of a separate switch or introducing additional points of failure. The 4 port GbE M1 Module delivers additional comprehensive security that separate additional costs of a separate switch are already detailed above Layer 3-managed switch would not provide.
