Great machine but
This machine worked Great but with one major flaw. On every single of these machines we had to have the battery replaced cause of the battery expanding and not just a little. HP did replace the batteries without to much effort on our part when it was actively happening.

For the Artist in you.
Overall thin and light. The aluminum shell seems sturdy and precise, i did not notice any physical defects. The touch screen is responsive to touch and the stylus. speaking of the stylus, it is an active stylus which uses a AAAA battery. When i received it the battery was dead and had to be replaced, i would assume the more you use it, the more batteries you will go thru. The stylus is sensitive depending on how hard your press on the screen. I did notice that when using the stylus that it was pressing against the lcd underneath causing a brightness where the stylus had passed by.. causing a ghost like effect that went away after a second or two. i noticed that the lid of the laptop uses magnets to keep the screen closed in both laptop and tablet modes. This made it a bit difficult to flip open the laptop in either direction, causing me to struggle and then fling the screen open super fast.

Want some ports? One of the best lightweight business laptops you can buy.
*This review is part of an HP Inc. sweepstakes.* I borrowed a friends x360 G2 (i5, 8gb, 256GB SSD) a while back for a few days to kick the tires on this laptop to see which I preferred (the elite or elitebook) and was impressed by both it's build quality and speed along with it's massive amount of ports. Surprisingly though, with all of those ports, HP didn't include a network jack (so it will need an adapter taking up a port). In a two way toss up between the HP Elite X2 and the Elitebook X360, this was a tough decision. In the end though I went with the Elite X2, simply because of form factor.

Secure & Light Weight Product
This review is part of an HP Inc. sweepstakes.
All-in-all a very good product; the weight is very accommodating while remaining at a usable size for any of our employees. Security features are great, with many options to match any security rules we might need to follow. Keyboard is one of the better keyboards I've tried for these thinner devices.

I had the opportunity to play around with the Elitebook x360, and as a business machine, it is solid.
Specs on the machine I used: Core i7 7600U, 8GB RAM, 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD, Wacom Pen.
Physical overview: If you have played with the newer line of Elitebook, the same build quality is here. Diamond cut around the trackpad/touchpad, solid Aluminium chassis, solid feel (no creaking when held by a corner, etc...), newer feel keyboard that is not a spongy as some membrane keyboards. This model packs a sturdy hinge that allows the screen to fold over into a tablet mode, or anywhere in between. Beyond that, the device packs a USB-A port on both sides, 1xUSB-C + Thunderbolt port (doubles as a charge port if needed), barrel power port, Micro SD card slot, Smart Card read, HDMI, WWAN SIM slot, volume rocker, power button, and a combo headphone mic jack. On the palm rest, there is an NFC logo, and a newer style square finger print read; aside from a standard trackpad of course. On the display side of things, there are two cameras, for 3D imaging, 2 holes for stereo mic, and a touch screen with Wacom digitizer. On the bottom/back, there is a set of speaks on both sides, and nice wide fan grille. In the box with the unit came the Wacom pen, a driver disc (there is no ODD with this device, but it is nice to have on hand), barrel style charger, and a USB-C to RJ45 adapter.
Performance: With the Core i7 and the NVMe SSD, this thing boots quick and is fast to open programs. It runs MS Office suite without a problem, and the only really slowdown I encountered there was pulling over the network or internet source. The downside here is integrated graphics, so this device will not be your after hours gaming machine. On the other hand, I was able to perform light requirement gaming with some settings tweaks with no problem. Not that you are going to get one of these to game on, it can get by with some gaming for the after hours IT sessions. Also, playing around with the Wacom pen input was surprisingly responsive. It was able to keep up fairly well and only noticed some input lag when getting wild with scribbling. The battery with all of this also kept up fairly well and lasted for most of my 9 hour work day (though it depends on what I am doing as well).
Overall: This device is solid and has a nice feature set for business needs. It also is thin and light weight, so should carry well when on the go. The back panel is also field serviceable, so I can upgrade the 512GB SSD in the future with something larger, should the need come up. The nice hinge also stands up reasonably well when switching between the various modes it can use. I also feel spoiled when being able to use both Wacom input and touch for different functions when sketching in OneNote or Plumbago.
Perspective as a gamer: This is not really needed as this is outside the scope the machine is intended to use. As a gamer though, I like to make my hardware run more then just my IT and standard office software load out. While the device works fine with light, low end gaming, I would love to see options with lower end discrete graphics. Also, the ram is directly attached to the motherboard, with no option to add on in the future. Other than that, the volume rocker was a little stiff but prevented me for bumping it when holding in tablet mode. Not bad if those are my only complaints so far.

Great, solid laptop
First off, I should say that I've stayed away from HP laptops/PCs ever since my early days of being in IT due to bad experiences. But because of the opportunity to demo one of these, I decided to go ahead and try it out. I was pleasantly surprised!
It felt solidly built, it was fast, and had a great screen. I would definitely not mind owning one of these myself and would feel good about recommending it to my family and friends.

Perfect mix of performance, battery life, and compact size
Bought the laptop new this year for my new job. Has been an absolute dream to work with! The small form factor and weight means it is easy to travel with. The extra long battery life means I can work for hours on long plane flights or away from the desk. All that combined with the computing power of the core i7 CPU and 8GB of RAM means that I'm getting my work done faster, and able to mulit-task with ease. Also love the convertibility for making presentations, and touch screen means I don't have to carry at least one extra peripheral.

It is very Flexible in the ways it can be used. This review is part of an HP Inc. sweepstakes.
It is very Flexible in the ways it can be used. We used one to help learn brail so we could help a student adjust easier to his new surroundings. The ability for it to become a tablet was very useful when doing flash cards for math and reading for our kids. The only thing that I would like to see would be stronger hinges and a stiffer cover for the laptop. The cover of the laptop was too flexible and could lead to damage of the screen. Other than that we were very happy with the machine. If given the opportunity we would buy one for ourselves. This review is part of an HP Inc. sweepstakes.

Great device, with a few minor problems
Great device. Love the weight, feel, and value. The x360 line is one of the best values around for laptops, and you'll definitely get bang for your buck. Only problem I have is the screen - large bezels, smudges way too easily, and the feels slightly too small for a device of this size. The keyboard (at least on the one I tried) also felt wrong - like cheap plastic - and some of the letter legends seemed to already be wearing off.

Perfect for almost any use
I was fortunate enough to test the EliteBook x360 through the Spiceworks/HP demo program, and am sad I had to give it back! It's powerful enough that it handled all of the tasks that I threw at it, but also portable enough that I could easily take it anywhere. Being able to flip the screen around was incredibly useful for sharing information in meetings and training sessions

Long battery life. Intel Core i7 power. Compact, convertible form factor. Premium construction and design. USB-C with Thunderbolt 3 port and USB 3.0 ports. Windows Hello works with fingerprint reader and IR webcam. 512GB SSD and 16GB of RAM make it somewhat pricey. Lacks on-board storage for Active Pen. Despite its flashy exterior, the HP EliteBook x360 2-in-1 laptop is all business inside, with an Intel Core i7 processor, 14-hour battery life, and a comprehensive set of security features. Perfectly competent competition for the Yoga series
Having had the opportunity to use a couple different Lenovo Yoga 700 series convertibles, I fully fell in love with the form factor. Previous iterations of this form factor by most companies fell short in the hinge and touch/feel departments. However, I'm happy to report that the x360 1030 G2 has removed all doubt that HP has transcended those initial me-too product foibles.
The x360 1030 G2 was a delight to use. Everything felt solid and high quality. It seemed perfectly capable and didn't flinch no matter what tasks I had it run. This would be a very good replacement for the aging laptops my mobile users are currently using. Modern, sleek, seemingly tough enough. Overall a very good device.

Good looking but tough
When the 2 in 1's came out I was very leery. Being in IT I need a machine to be durable. My first was a Dell, as for years had a Latitude and bounced it all over. Love the table and PC in one, but did not last. A friend said I needed to try HP EliteBook. So being a Dell guy at the time was not having it. After watching him and how rough was decided to give it a try the price was right and it had the power I needed. second day dropped it and thought that was it. It had a scratch on the cover but no damage. Needless to say it lasted so now am giving HP another try and loving the choice.

Impressed!
3 weeks to test - too short of a time with busy schedules... fast enough to run my CAD software - installed and tested but didn't get a chance to do real work as I ran out of time... benchmarked AutoCAD and it performed decently... portable enough to carry everyday though, as I brought it home and back to work, but again, time constraints left me with little time to really give it a good test unfortunately.

An Ultra thin Laptop That Actually Has Ports!
My biggest complaint with the Macbook Air is the lack of ports. The G2 keeps that same stylus look while having a USB C, 2 USB 3.1 ports, an HDMI, and a Micro SD slot. It also has great security with the additional fingerprint reader.

Scary
This Review is part of an HP Inc. Sweepstakes.
Some of our Big Wigs use these, and they haven't had many problems with them. They're touch screen, which a large number of users go crazy for, and they're much mess likely to complain or even notice if they have mouse or keyboard issues (Less Helpdesk calls is good). We got some for a few of our Doctors to carry, and it really helps. They can write patient note that are automatically added to their file, then another doctor can come in and pull up their notes if they need to, without having to find the other doctor.
