Great printer
We now have two of these printers. Expensive, but very effective. The ink pack that came with it did over 2500 copies. Love it so far.

October 19th 2019. I bought this printer recently and it is loaded with features including two paper trays one for small paper such a photo paper envelopes I believe, which is tray 1; the second tray which is Tray 2 is for letter size paper. This will take slightly longer than 11 inch letter paper to 11 1/2 inch or A4 paper.
The installation was not easy requiring multiple down loads I guess Plug and Play is a thing of the past. Partly because the CD installation disk is intended for two printers, this does not happen from the installation disk. It required both the M277c6 and the M277dw software which had to be downloaded fro the HP site after removing the software from the disk. Both need to be installed for the printer to work properly. It required me to call HP support by phone to complete the installation as my computer would not recognise it as the default printer. The WiFi connects easily using the little screen on the printer. So a cable connection is unnecessary.
I do find now that the replacement toner set is $347 for the set from HP and while I believe it is slightly cheaper in Ontario Canada where I live it is still very expensive.

Not Great Colour Quality
I find the printed colours aren't true to on-screen images. I have even tried the maximum dpi setting to improve this and it still isn't great. My last printer was an HP Laserjet 479. It printed colours very well. This one is ok. If you do a lot of colour printing you may not be satisfied with the colour quality this printer produces.

Great for a small business like mine!
I own a small business and needed a printer that would print quickly but also be able to scan multiple pages double sided. This printer works so well for what I need it for. Very happy I chose this one instead of the older model. It's a decently big printer, which doesn't bother me, I have the space. I also like the fact that this printer accepts the XL ink cartridges, where the older model did not.

It has been a great quality of printing, i like that I got the extra paper tray. It is very fast on speed. Only drawback was the set up. We have had trouble getting some users to find it online, but working through that with calls to HP support.

This printer is a work horse for the value! You can do all things needed with just 1 printer: Fax, Scan, Copy, Print. I love this MFprinter so much we have bought over 10 of them for our company!

Page Wide 477w
This was easy to set up with one exception. The "scan to email function" is IMPOSSIBLE. Apparently, there is a 4 digit PIN required to use this feature. I have been unable to restore to factory settings or to change the PIN to one of my choosing. HP support, thus far, has not solved this. I'm awaiting a call back from them. HELP.

Fantastic Performance
I made the mistake of purchasing an Epson ET-4750 and was terribly disappointed with the slow performance and print quality of the device. The PageWide Pro 477dw blows it away! Setup was easy and print quality / performance is excellent (a high DPI, full-page photo printed in under 5 seconds, looking unbelievably good on HP Advanced Photo Paper). Feature-wise, it exceeded my expectations. I'm happy with this purchase!

Excellent Product, improvement over the previous model
I have used HP products for a long time. This unit is an newer version of the unit we usually purchase and I am very happy with the over all improvements. Faster, little easier to use than previous model and quieter.
I do wish they stuck with the grey as I can see this starting to look dirty and unless there is a significant improvement (which I haven't seen yet) I don't like that the cartridges changed.

An inkjet printer that is like a colour laser printer
It's a bit pricey, but worth the cost.
The smaller and easier cartridge changes, quick and reliable printing. Also has automatic security updates and support all sorts of printing standards as well as scanning options.
We have found the ones we have run very reliably and are quick.
